They are now called Russell City Sports Bar & Grill. This place does have some interesting characters around sometimes, but which bar doesn't, right ?
As a local bar and grill, this place is awesome/perfect for Football during NFL Season; additionally, they cater to sports fans of all ages and varieties, I've watched the NBA finals, soccer finals, baseball here as well.
The Bartenders are very friendly and although they do get super busy at times, they definitely try to cater to your needs as best as they can.
The small pitcher of beer is $5.00, can't beat that. $2 corona on Thursdays, can't beat that......... meals cooked after you order, not ready made and microwaved........ Priceless !!!!

its in the hood, so its slightly hood. but i the burgers are great and they have beer specials. Multiple tv's and many nice bay area sports framed apparel. in particular, i like the 49ers/ giants shit. i went there after work a couple times to watch giants games, oh and some playoff games bc we won that shit. the menu is quite extensive. the there is an older waiter, possibly Hispanic. He is a nice guy. Recommended.

Goin 3 stars now. Upgraded the food and the bartenders do a very good job. Still need to upgrade the TV's and expand the alcohol selection. Many basic types seem to not be present and 2 beers on tap were empty which seems kinda ridiculous for a weekend. Still it has gotten better.

    well Mikes ,
Was at home and was watching the M.N.F game 2nd game chiefs chargers witch didnt fucking matter because we need both teams to lose (Raider fan) and thought i would go to old russel city for some food and drinks . Ive been here once for lunch and was not very impressed. So thought give it another shot now i think location is great back in the industrial area wont see a cop at 8 oclock back their so thats a plus .

I walk in and this is first Monday night football, thinking on the way there specials on beer and probably some snacks hot snacks, every other regular bar has something for monday night football............Nothing their were 6 people in there and i went to order a beer 4.25 for a beer way too much so im hungry look in both rooms and no snacks not even peanuts.i see this couple eating street tacos and ask the lady bartender to order some 1.50 a taco al pastor, asada and chorizo (what ) i order pastor they cxame from the best cook employee their is both times there guy has been great tacos were just as good or better than the trucks.

Look the place offers free wifi so thats a plus can place ur quater bets and halftime bets online while your there.

Bottom line its a great location and idea but execution is bad.

Owner .....you want it to be really sucsessfull advertise and have to have speacials on main game nights.

I just started going here because its close to the place I just moved into.  I went on a Thursday night and then tonight which is Monday. It's a sports bar so there is approximately 15 tv's in two different rooms.  And they have 3 pool tables, darts and jukebox and according to the bartender they have DJ's occasionally on Friday nights. As far as food goes, I ordered the Potato Skins and while the Ranch dressing was great, the skins were the greasiest skins I've ever had.  I would not order them again.  Next time I will try the veggies with the ranch.  And with all the tvs they have, there was no Giants game on any of them.  Come on!
On Thursday they have $2.00 Corona's which is great!
And everyday of the week they have specials on beer.  Monday night is $3.75 for pints of non-domestic or Imported beer, so I ordered my Sierra Nevada.   As far as whats on the screens I want to see Sharks and Giants when they are playing so we'll see how this plays out.  But I will give it a descent rating because I like the layout and the staff is very friendly, and I feel comfortable there.

There should be a NEGATIVE star for extra shitty establishments! Though the bartender is nice, they OVER charge for drinks. My hunny ordered pint glass of Sierra Nevada. The beer was FLAT and tasted old! And it was $6.50. That's how much a small pitcher of beer costs!

He ordered a burger and I had a side of fries. The fries were gross and his burger looked pitiful and tasted like rotten meat.

Its actually not that bad. Its close to my work so food is good and alcohol even better. I usually order a sandwich or something. Not really the best place but it is what it is. Most of the time when I walk into this place, its dark. Its a good place to go after work with some co-workers.

came across mike's when i got lost in hayweird's industrial park and missed a pick up time. came here to kill an hour and grab a bite or so i thought.

came here at lunch and there was no one, no one in the spacious dining room. not a good sign since they sold mostly burgers(7ish), breakfast, sandwiches and fried wings. so i retreated to the miniscule "sports bar" of nine flatscreens, a pool table, a bar of 7 seats and several tables.

    thursdays is corona day (2)

imbibed a quiness draft(5.00)  and  stella  (4.75) while someone had a bloody mary (6). they had a few take outs and some patrons eating at the bar.

though the beer was very fresh, i doubt i will return unless i get lost again.
