I was a big fan of Mixed Greens's predecessor, Salad Spinners. Â But Mixed Greens has recently decreased the size of their salads and increased their prices. Â I likely will not return often. Â
Their food is solid - they have excellent ingredient combinations, and I am a huge fan of their tofu offering as a protein. Â
Their service is great - very efficient, professional, and friendly.
I used to appreciate the generosity in their service and portion/ingredients. Â I'm disappointed with the decrease in all of these areas.
Solid.
I wonder if it's the dreadful winter and my hopes of spring that has me craving salads this week? Anyway, I ditched my homemade lunch in search of a salad and popped in here today. I built my own salad and went with the steak. Service was fast, friendly and my new friend who made my salad even gave me extra pita. At $11 I don't think I'd eat here every day, but it's a nice treat. Â My salad tasted fresh and filled me up through dinnertime, which apparently is possible when you eat a salad. Who would've known?
Sadly it's not better than Chop't which lives on the east coast, but it'll do just right.
I've only been here once - I got the Greek salad - and it was downright AMAZING. Beets on a Greek salad!? Whod'a thunk?! So flipping good. And the dressing - g'dayum! it wasnt the typical Cesar garbage - it was something else and it was amazing. I loved that the salad only cost like $7 -- this is sweet because I tend to wind up at a lot of $16 salad places near my work. Â
I WILL go back - I WILL work my way through the rest of their menu. In fact - I think I'll go today.
*my business partner is goo-goo over the buffalo chicken salad.
