Raw

I've been going to Raw for over a year now, and I used to be a huge fan.  But I'm the type of person that likes variety, and although they have a good selection of meals, new meals/options are rarely introduced.  I also feel like the quality has gone down hill lately.  The last few times I've gotten my favorite meal, the sweet potato spinach patties, they have been super dry and crispy making we wonder how long they've been sitting in the case.  For the prices charged, I would expect fresh/better quality food.

Raw is so amazing! It's so good that it's hard to imagine it's vegetarian!! My favorites are the kale salad (get there early cause this is always the first to go!) the pizza,the empanadas,the lasagna,burgers,the hummus,the brownie(omg!!! the best!) and the tiramsu. Really just about anything you get there is really good! They do have samples which is such a brilliant idea! I recommend to try everything! It's just unbelievable what she comes up with..and it's so healthy with such simple healthy ingredients.
I live in Lakeview so it's not easy to get too..but I try to get there on my day off to stock up for the week! So wish she would open other stores around Chicago. It's a guarantee she would do well! Even if you're not vegetarian you'd still like this!
Please keep up the support so she can expand! This is exactly what Chicago needs! And the convenience of the prepared meals is terrific for all of us busy professionals!! Thank you!

don't come here and complain that it's over priced - because no one does it like Raw. raw ingredients, gluten free, dairy free, vegetarian, vegan. why don't YOU try coming up with meals this delicious under such insane restrictions. yes, that's what i thought. you came up with nothing. Raw is a monopoly my friends. they're the only option for food of this sort.

quick run down:
located in the french market (which i didn't know existed until i had lunch at raw)
everything is pre-made and pre-boxed
can't decide? ask carole. still can't decide? she'll bring you out samples of both
collard burrito - sensational. words cannot describe.
desserts - heavy. dense. but delicious
