Mojito Lounge and Restaurant

Found this place by accident.  Bought the wrong GC on <a href="/redir?url=http%3A%2F%2Frestaurant.com&s=c5fe485af4df376130bee54f875814d79c4d7913e1258123b1206d2bdbf4873b" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://restaurant.com</a> and decided to use it with my girlfriend for dinner.  First time there we were BLOWN AWAY, the portion size, the taste, the service was incredible.  This was 3 years ago.

Since then we go back almost once a month (live 30 minutes away) for dinner.  Have brought friends along at least 10 times.  The garlic bread and olive/oil mix they serve before the meal is very good.  And I have not once had an empty water glass, and I tend to drink about 5-6 glasses during dinner.

Me and my now wife made it a point to always try different items on their menu, and no matter what we ordered it was always great.

Highly recommend the lobster bisque soup, the cuban coffee steak with lobster mashed potatoes which has chunks not pieces of lobster in it, the chicken in garlic with rodizio which is one of the tenderest pieces of chicken I have had.  And when on special the caesar salad with shrimp/steak over it is great.  Most times we eat 1/2 the meal and bring the other 1/2 home for the next day because the portions are large.  But by far my favorite meal is the skirt steak, even writing this review makes my mouth water thinking about how good it is.

We went here for the bride's birthday. Happy Birthday honey. Now to the review. Food was very good. Nice touches in food preparation. My Lamb Chops were great. Specialty bread and olive mixture for the table was especially tasty. We needed extra dip and it was supplied immediately. Waiter service was excellent. They even filled the water glass after the meal was finished and a request was place for the check.  When leaving, they had someone open and hold the door for our departure. I'm contributing that to good service and not that they were trying to get rid of us. These are the things that can prompt a five star rating. Unfortunately... one drawback. A little light on the pour.  When I order a drink, a measured shot is a real turnoff.  At the cost of a Johnny Black on the rocks, come on, make it a nice one. Still all and all...highly recommended.

Food is great, I love the garlic shrimp appetizer.  I had the rabo enciendido which is a spicy oxtail and it was delicious.  My husband had the pork chop which was huge and so juicy.  And yes the mojitos are great.
