3 stars for it being free for girls before 12:30 and open bar for quite a long time. Â come here if u want open space as this place never fills up to capacity. Â scene seems like mostly groups of all girls or groups of all guys. Â not much of a scene to watch good looking people. Â
music is hard trance and house though. Â pretty well ventilated with cold air. Â
restrooms have cleaning lady attendants which is always nice.
I've had some of my best nights and some of my most boring nights at Monarchy. Well not boring because I would just leave and go to a different club, either to Dr. Feelgoods downstairs, or across the street to Off the Hookah. I went a lot during November/December on Fridays/Saturdays, and at midnight, the dance floor was pretty much empty. It picked up by around 1am, but if you don't want to wait that long, head downstairs to Dr. Feelgoods which is always busier. Monarchy usually has more dance/trance, but the DJs are different on different nights so its kind of a hit and miss. The crowd is also a hit and miss, sometimes you get a lot of young(er) people, perhaps in their late 20s to 30 somethings. Some nights you just get the old sleazy guys. Yuck!
There are two bars and the dance floor is in between them, so it is a nice open space to dance, especially when there are more people on the dance floor. I believe Fridays is ladies night, but I can't be certain, it could be Thursday. But in my experience, Fridays and Saturdays are better than Thursday!
After reserving a table we waited an hour to get our first bottle.
Then they didnt run the card for the Red Bull so we had to wait while they ran the card and then brought the red bull. Â Total time 1 hour 30 minutes.
Then the VIP area isnt set up well so the absolutely hammered group next to us is using our ice, drinking our liquor and I cant seem to get the staff to stop them.
Fast forward 45 minutes later, I make the mistake of grabbing the wrong bottle. Â Their staff person is right on me, pushes me to which I say sorry and then toss in a comment that i would have appreciated that level of service with my drinks etc. Â He pushes me again, the rest of the story is being handled with my legal council. Â Stay far away. Â All to often clubs in towns like WPB try to provide premium service and just miss. Â This is one of them.
Finally had a chance to go here on Christmas Day.. It was one of the only places open and I loved it.. Â Finally a place in West Palm Beach that plays good House and Dance Music.. Its dark and sexy and classy... Â And from what I can see they get alot of big name dj's here also.. Â This is exactly what downtown needed...
Review Source:My new favorite spot in West Palm Beach. Exactly what the area needed and joined the rebirth of Clematis's newest spots. Located upstairs/above Dr. Feelgoods and connected to Lost Weekend. I loved the decor. It's very different then any other club with skanky girls in stripper shoes dancing and tasteless cheap furniture. Very romantic, vamp, classic style. Music is great. Staff is attentive. I like it alot.
