This place was awesome. Came here with ten friends and sang our hearts out for hours, and the final tab was incredibly manageable. BYOB and BYOfood is a great system. The host was super courteous, we had no issues reserving a room, the song selection was better than most places, and nobody gave us a hard time about being drunk, silly, and as loud as we could. Ill definitely be back!

Came here on a Saturday night and there was a decent crowd. We had to wait about an hour before a room was available, but with the ability to BYOB and snacks, it was well worth the wait. The owner was really nice and we happily stumbled out at 4:30 in the morning! Great place with a wide selection of songs and it's fairly updated.

Greeted or yelled at by the middle-aged Korean fellow at the front? I'm gonna guess yelled, by how he looked at us. If you like Korean karaoke, then this could very well be heaven on earth for you...if you like Korean karaoke in a dirty, run-down place, then this could very well be heaven on earth with a side trip to paradise. Muse is overpriced, and pretty run-down. Not my idea of a party.

    It's time to sing!

If you enjoy singing but would like to do so privately with your friends this is the place to come. It's nice because it's located in the South Bay and is not too far from Torrance or Carson. There are various sizes of rooms for the amount of people in your party. There is a variety of Korean, English, Japanese and other country songs to choose from.

The owner is very nice and usually tries to accommodate to your needs. The prices are not too bad compared to some Japanese Karaoke houses. However it's also not very fancy either. If you're looking for a good time with you friends at a somewhat low/decent price, I would come here.

    REALLY CHEAP KARAOKE!

Not the fanciest establishment. The rooms are a little run down, but they have an awesome selection of songs. The backgrounds on the TVs are pretty cheesy and outdated, but very entertaining. They have 3 different sized rooms. The largest one can hold like 20 people! Each group gets 2 mics, a few tambourines (they light up!), and a few song books. Each room is equipped with cheesy disco balls and colorful lights.

What makes this place extra awesome is how laid back they are. Unlike most other karaoke place, this place allows you to bring your own snacks and drinks :)  The owner is really sweet!

This is a great place to have a fun night with a group of friends :)

Karaoke has never been more fun!

Concept: Muse Karaoke has multiple private rooms which accommodate around 4-18 people. Instead of embarrassing yourself with your horrible vocals in front a room full of strangers, you can embarrass yourself in front of your friends only!

Positives: great pricing by the hour, discounted rates if renting a room before 7pm.  You are welcome to bring your own food, snacks, and beverages (alcohol included). There is always that one friend you have saying "I will go to watch, but I'm not going to sing..." after a few drinks, they will be hogging the microphone! They have a pretty extensive song list with thousands of selections from EVERY music genre you can think of. From Korean, Hip-Hop, Rock, Pop, and R&B, I was rather impressed with the variety.  They add newer songs every month, so the book is very updated. Huge LCD televisions make it easy to read the lyrics and very user friendly karaoke equipment.

Negatives: the rooms lack in decor and he couches and table could be modernized.  Parking in this shopping plaza could be tricky on a Saturday night with all the surrounding eateries.

Overall, awesome place to have a low-key, fun night with a group of friends.

Went here Saturday night with friends. The manager was so friendly and wonderfully drink bearing. Kept us inebriated and happy! The room had good acoustics and the sound quality of (cordless!!) mics was great as well.

All in all a nice (albeit small) karaoke establishment. I recommend and would go again.

So I popped my Karaoke establishment cherry with Muse Karaoke. I went for a friend's b-day where he reserved the largest room. This room can hold 10-20 people. It got hot really fast... In more ways than one. ^_~

The song selections include Korean, Japanese, and English music. I was quite shocked to find the song "Dick in a Box" here. Once I found that, I queued it up and sang it with great alacrity. =P

What's cool about this place is that you can bring your own food; thus avoiding overpriced food if that karaoke place were to sell it themselves. There's a veritable plethora of songs to choose from so you'll be singing your heart out all night long.

If you feel the need for some aMUSEment, then I suggest you get your song list ready and warm up those vocal chords for the MUSE Karaoke experience!  I love this place so much, that I came here twice with my coworkers and enjoyed the large group room (first room on the right) suited for 15 (+) people complete with 2 long tables to place your snacks and beverages (the manager was ok just as long as we cleaned up after ourselves).  Make sure you are aware of the English songbooks and have a pen and paper ready to write down the song number which you can easily input into the large remote.  You may have to wait a few minutes for the Korean man to change the discs, so if you have to use the restroom just walk towards the back.   Also, make sure you request the rotating lights and air conditioning, it proves for a cool experience, literally:)  Be aware of the somewhat packed parking lot especially on Friday nights, I parked near the El Pollo Loco, but I noticed that this shopping center can get crowded with cars easily (one star off).  It costs like $30 an hour and I suggest you do at least 3 hours for the maximum MUSE experience:)  So whether you are a singer or can appear like one just by holding the mic, just let yourself go and aMUSE those around you!

I love Muse!!!!!!! This place was a staple for my friends and I when we were still in school! We came here once (if not twice) a week!

This is the best place to go when you're drunk! They even have a "happy hour". The song selection is very up-to-date and their instrumentals don't sound cheesy or out of tune at all.

The owner is super duper nice and cool! He lets us bring in food and drinks. If you're hungry, there's a 24-hour Del Taco in the same plaza.

Equipment: probably the best in the Torrance/Gardena area. Muse has the wireless mics, nice big screen TVs, laser lights for atmosphere, good sound equipment, and even has a mic stand.
Song selection: Also probably the best in the Torrance/Gardena area. They always have their music up to date. I went yesterday and they already had all the songs uploaded for November for a while.
Atmosphere: Nice and dark like a Korean karaoke place should be. Lots of blacklights and lasers for a fun atmosphere. I'm glad they painted over the creepy neon body they had at the back of the place near the bathroom...
Owner: He was really nice to me. He's been nice to me. Probably because I'm Korean? But I've had non-Korean friends go there without any problems. We went overtime and he didn't charge us extra. We also got there around 1:30 am but they let us have a room and let us stay as long as we wanted. They're supposed to close at 2:00am but from my experience, they always let you stay as long as you want as long as you get there before 2am.
Pricing: They used to be more expensive. It used to be $25 for a small room (up to 4 people), $30 for a medium room (up to 6 people), and even more for a large (I don't remember the exact price). But now it's $20 for a small and $25 for a medium. It's not the cheapest place in the area. 501 I know is $15, but all things considered, it's a lot nicer. Plus, the medium room prices for both 501 and Muse are the same as well.
Alcohol: I haven't ever had alcohol there and I don't know if they even serve alcohol there. Usually I go there after I drink anyways. I know they have beverages there though. Sometimes the owner lets us have some for free.
Happy hour: If you go to Muse before 7pm, it's only $15/hour for a small room!

All in all, I like Muse a lot better now than I used to. The prices are cheaper. The equipment's the best in the area. The owner's nice. They're open til late and they're open 365 days of the year.

Came here last night for a friend Katrina's birthday/graduation.  I love how each party has its own room for privacy and if you're bad at singing (like me!), the whole joint doesn't have to hear you.

My friends and I were hungry when we arrived and didn't know what to expect with this being our first time so we weren't sure if food was going to be served or not.  The place only sells some soft drinks and chips but I definitely love how you can bring food in (and there are plenty of food places surrounding this spot since its nicely put in a plaza filled with restaurants and fast food places.  I also love that you can bring your own alcohol with no extra charge.  You're pretty much just paying for the room and I believe the prices start at $20/hour and range up depending on the size of the room to fit the party.

I'd definitely come here again.  It's always fun belting out to "Wonderwall" and "YMCA" with all your drunk friends in the privacy of your own karaoke room.

This is one of the few karaokes in the neighborhood & from lack of what we have in the South Bay, considered the best...

For a rather small karaoke with old interior that hasn't been changed in years, the system is at it's best! They have new machines & CORDLESS MICROPHONES!!! Not only that, they have those poles you can put your microphones to rock out like a rock star!!! Yup. Can't beat that!

In addition, they have decent lighting & lots of songs to choose from -- either from the fat books or by the high-tech remote.
The owner is also friendly & he will let you get away with couple minutes over your time!

A word of advice: DO MAKE A RESERVATION if you are planning on stopping by on a weekend because we were turned away once due to no rooms! Yup, it gets busy!

Love this place!! Have and always will!!

When I lived in so. cal, we would travel all the way from the SFV to get here!

We've stayed until three am and they didn't shut down until we walked out!

So me and my buds came here because they liked it last time. I actually used to live right across the street from this place and it wasn't here when i was living there. Rooms were about average. You get a rap around couch with a Big Tv and a all the karaoke essentials. You get two huge book of songs. Korean owned so lots of korean songs and most the latest hits on the radio. At first it was hard to find the new songs because it is mixed in with the korean songs. You just need to go to the back of the book and search.

We had some more people come later so the owners were nice enough to move us to a bigger room. The bigger room was 3x bigger and it was nice because we all could stretch our feet on the couch.

I ended up paying $13 for myself which wasn't bad for 3 hours of fun singing with my buds.

It's close to home so if I don't feel like driving to K-town, this is where we sing the night away. I appreciate that we get updated songs from a small karaoke place. They have the current top 40 songs. The owner is really nice, I think he saw us often enough that for one night he gave us an extra hour for free!  But that's all that is great about it.

i go to quite a few karaoke places, and this one's just OK. maybe even a little less.

the staff is friendly enough and it's rad that they give you mic covers so you can spit all over it as much as you want ... and i like the disco ball and lights that kind of jive with the songs you pick ... but the actual system in which you enter your karaoke songs is kind of weird. it's not hard to use, just weird. and also, the song selection's not that great if you aren't korean. lots of random songs, not a lot of music that's popular at other karaoke box places. which i found off-putting.

eehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. i prefer other places. pass this one, unless you karaoke korean.

This place is great all around, one of the best I've been to. HUGE books of music, stays open LATE, all the things you look for in a Karaoke joint.

I want to give it 5 stars but I hate Torrance. ;) (It's quite a drive from Anaheim/Fullerton area and it's not my fav place to be, either.)

This is the 1st Karaoke bar I had ever been to, and it's one of my all-time Favorites. #1 on my list :)

This place is small compared to the other places I've been to recently, but I love it because the place is open until the last person goes home (I left at almost 6am once)

The owners are really nice and helpful. This place sells beer, soda, water bottles and snacks.

There are separate books for Korean and English songs and it's updated constantly.  (Let me repeat: they have a whole book, just for English songs! very few places I've been to have more than 6 pages of English songs and none are new!!) The song list is extensive and it's constantly updated with new songs.

I used to come here with my friends whenever we wanted to sing like crazy and whenever we were in Torrance. You get your own little room with two microphones and a book full of song choices. They don't have a lot of the most recent and popular American songs but they do have some oldies and classics like Queens, The Beatles, Abba, Tupac, Kelly Clarkson, Britney Spears...you get the picture. They update their book every month and at the bottom of the page, there will be some popular American songs you can sing to. They always have the popular Korean songs updated. The place isn't too bad. I only come here whenever I am in Torrance and my friends wants to go sing. If you have some stress and want to just sing at the top of your lungs without people staring at you...then you should come here.

Same karaoke system that most Korean places use.  Not much in the way of song selection.  The sound system is just OK.  But hey, you can smoke and drink in there!
