This is a great not-so- little theater... With a caveat:  DO NOT PAY EVEN $25 FOR THE BURLESQUE SHOW!! Saw last Thursday: cheap production, bad / out of sync  dancers and choreography, comedians like a vulgar throw back to the Catskills with not as much talent... Ugh. Wish I'd stuck to the slots... Good news is...,'now YOU CAN.

Attended the burlesque show on Thursday night and it was horrible. The talent was lame and the show was cheap and poorly produced. The comedian was vulgar and vile. Don't waste your time!!

My bf and I caught the 9pm show the 23rd and were very please with the performances. In total there were 3 acts, and like most shows they saved the best for last. The seats were comfortable.

The only downside, (-1 star) would be the bar. There was a very long line and only 2 bartenders. Sure some people were ordering for a party (so much for the 2 drink max), but I wish they were quicker. Originally I wanted a  strawberry daiquiri but turns out the machine was broken so I had a rum and coke instead. Boy was it strong!!! Normally I don't like drinks that taste like they're strong, and I didn't like this one. I would have thrown it out but at $12 I just sipped it slowwwly.

I know it's cliche and repeated over and over but there's not really a bad seat in the house at the Music Box.

I usually go here with my wife to see comedy shows and even if you are off to the side in the back you can see just fine. They have big screens on the side anyway but you really won't need them most of the time.

My best advice would be not to overpay for anything here. If the particular show you are going to has different pricing tiers, do not go with the highest price because it's probably not worth it, you could be 25-40 rows back and save a few bucks.

The venue is small and the seats are spacious with cushions, so you really couldn't ask for anything more.

There's a full bar in the entrance area and plenty of helpful staff on site.

If your favorite act, comedian or band is playing here don't worry about anything and buy tickets with confidence, then go play Wheel of Fortune slots and blow all the money you saved like i usually do!

Had some comped tickets for a comedy show here. Not a bad line up. Three amateur comedians with some solid material. The venue is clean and has a nice snack and drink bar. Box office is right outside. Seats about 1000 people. Doesn't feel crowded even when full.

Saw Interpol here. Great time. I will say that this place really shines when a comedian is on the stage though. It can't really "contain" a band...if that makes sense. However, if you are coming to see stand up, there's nothing to complain about. Try and get seats in the front section or you might feel disconnected.

I have been to the Music Box to attend free comedy shows that Borgata has offered me and I have never been disappointed in the acts. I have laughed at least 5 times during each act.  They hold concerts here as well.

The Music Box is easily one of my favorite venues in AC. I've seen MGMT and Robin Williams here--two completely different experiences in the same venue.

For Robin Williams, the bleacher-like seats were pulled out for those of us who could only afford the "cheapie" tickets ($175.) Reserved seating on the floor (god only knows how much that cost) was just regular chairs on the ground.

For MGMT, the bleachers and chairs were nowhere to be found. Luckily, the floor of The Music Box is carpeted, so it was quite comfortable for all the little hippies to lounge around and zone out before, during, and after the show.

Drinks are phenomenally expensive. For tiny little clear plastic cups. This would be the time to carry a flask on your person from which to imbibe. There's 2 bars set up in the back of the venue. Nothing special in the way of liquor and beer; house vodka, bud light...you get the idea. Be prepared to wait for the bathrooms.

Still, the smaller venue is awesome for more intimate acts. It's also right up the stairs from the Gypsy Bar, but damn do those lines get long before the show! Come early or you'll end up waiting all the way down by will-call.

I've several shows (comedy and concert) here most recently the Antisocial Comedy Tour of Artie Lange, Jim Norton, Doug Stanhope, and Dave Attel.  I'm not reviewing the show, but the venue.

All the seats have good sight lines, and surprisingly the rear riser seats are probably more comfortable than the floor seats.  They have more padding, armrests, and are like a stadium for each row so you really can see better.  I did find myself looking a lot more, though, at the TV monitors on each side rather than the main stage because of the detail.  The floor seats are typical banquet seats with no rise in the floor, so if you get stuck behind someone tall, you'll be moving around to see.

There is alcohol service, and a mad dash for the bathrooms which are not plentiful after and even before the shows.  Men and women - be prepared to wait.

Last night, I saw Rob Thomas at The Music Box. I didn't know anything about the venue and had zero expectations. Rob was supposed to go on stage around 9pm, so we showed up around 8:30. Thank God we did, because the line at the bar was huge. There were only 3 bartenders working, and the line stretched around, and basically started at the entrance. We waited in line for about 10-15 minutes. It was a max of 2 drinks per person. We bought a bottle of wine and 2 bottles of Coors Light (they had 3 kinds of beer- Budweiser, Coors Light and Miller Light, and 3 types of wine- Chardonnay, White Zinfandel and I think a Shiraz for red wine). They also had mixed drinks as well. Once the show started, there was no line at the bar, and getting drinks would take about 2 seconds.

The music venue itself is quite intimate- about 1,000 seats. My mom and I had spent awhile trying to figure out the best seats for the venue- honestly, that was a waste of time because they all seemed great. I didn't see any bad seats. We were row N and had a great view. The acoustics were great, and the concert sounded better than his recorded music.

The bathroom was one tough part- it was outside the concert venue, in the casino. After drinking all that beer, I had to make a few bathroom sprints during songs I didn't like as much, to make sure I didn't miss too much of the concert. However, the staff was really good at re-entry, and didn't stop you each time and slow you down :-).

Despite the long line at the bar, and the distant bathroom, I'd definitely be back here for a show! Two thumbs up.

The only way that the venue redeemed itself for me was that I bought tickets on presale and showed up early. (Thanks, No Doubt!) That way I can totally ignore the venue's quirks. The one perk about this venue is that it's completely indoors and they direct you to a spot you can wait. I don't particularly care for casino crowds though, so it's not really my ideal place for a show. The one thing that really turned me off was the crowd it attracts (I'm not hating on Jersey at all people - I have Jersey friends). Gwen Stefani kept point out how many people were getting into fights; there were a good 3-5 fights in the audience. It got to the point where everyone around them just raised their hands and pointed out the culprits. At one point, some girl even called my friend a "faggot". If this is more of a casino thing, I'd rather avoid it like the plague. Otherwise, if there's a good presale, I'd definitely go.

Saw a comedy act here. Wasn't impressed w/ the act or the venue.

I've seen Steview Wonder twice now. The first time at the Taj Mahal, and now at the music box.

What a great venue. The acoustics are excellent. Even the cheap seats are great! Section C is excellent right smack in the middle!

The only reason I can't give it a 5 is because when you are leaving/entering it's a mob scene and they need to be a bit more organized and/or let us use all the exits.

I came here to see Chelsea Handler. I was a little nervous since we had seats towards the back, but this theater is so small that there really is not a bad seat in the house. I think that even if you sat at the way top (which really isn't that far) you would still have great seats. It sort of like a glorified movie theater. Other than that - I really have nothing more to say. Short, sweet and to the point.

The venue here is typical of most casino theaters, lavish without being over the top. It acts to provide a break from gambling and that is exactly how the Music Box is.

It is at that perfect size that makes practically any seat in the house a good seat.  I would say that the minimal difference in seating certainly does not justify any difference in pricing on tickets, so if you're looking at a show where it costs a lot more for "good" seats, I'd say just go with the cheap ones.  You're not losing out on much.

It's not Madison Square Garden, but rather a casino's take on a mini-concert hall.  It's small enough to be intimate with whatever on-stage performer for the night and cozy enough to relax while someone is performing.  As a result, tickets are never too expensive and almost every seat in the house is a decent one.  I had on the second "balcony" and had an awesome view during my last time here.

I came to see Russell Peters and he is worthy of a 5 star review all on his own.  The crowd was small enough to where you could hear the whispers of your neighbors and the sound system was good enough to drown them out.  Max capacity here is probably no more than 500 people at best as it is a small but comfy venue.

Not a great venue, but very intimate, and seats are all fairly close to the stage.  We strolled the boardwalk, ate some salt water taffy at Steel's and  watched Chris Rock do his thing at the Borgata, which is the only upscale joint in Atlantic City.
We sat to the left of the stage (stage right for my theater heads)
    Section:     100
    Row:         8
Chris Rock was a riot; riffing on Hillary, Obama, and his usual onslaught of race, money and blowjobs.  Of course he had to drop the inevitable "lost your money on the roulette wheel and have to sell your Chris Rock ticket" joke.  Chris (we're on first name basis) put on a great show.
Couple gripes with the venue:  wine and beer was served in plastic dixie cups in the lobby, and the front seats were fairly cheap seats bolted together with a long rod.  Would've expected more from a classy place like the Borgata...
I recommend getting seats a little closer to the middle, because it was easier to watch the video screen on stage right then to actually crane your neck to look at the stage.

We had a great time, and then ran out to the casino floor to lose our money, regretting we didn't have our CR tix to sell so we could break even...
