I've been coming to My Place for years. It USED to be good. I rolled in on a Sunday evening and there was almost no one in the place. There was a time when this place was jumping every single night of the week. Not any longer. A couple of tired old regulars sitting at the bar giving the stink eye to non-regulars, the owner and a buddy taking up a table with their feet up on the seat (I suppose its his place and he can sit any way he wants to sit) Two bored  looking waitresses, a bored looking bartender. Used to be classic rock playing on the piped in music--that night it was some pop cr@p.....
I should have taken everyone on Yelp's advice and gotten the chicken sandwich but I had to be different and get the beef dip. Sounds good doesnt it but it was like leather and it was about $9. I had a couple of beers and they were very good (Im not sure anything could be wrong with Newcastle on tap...) The fries were good (=
I tried to make convo with the bartender but no luck.....She had glasses to wash
I won't be going back any time soon. I suppose I would recommend My Place in a pinch but there are plenty of more friendly and lively places within a few miles......Michael's on Goldenwest comes to mind.
