Epic dive bar with tons of beer on tap! This is a beer drinkers paradise! I've been here a handful of time and my last trip was the first time I ordered food. I wasn't expecting much for a dive bar but their "kabobs" were really tasty! My friend and I ordered the "small" plate and it was a lot of food for just the two of us. We also ordered some chili cheese fries and it was enough to feed at least four people. There's live music at night so don't expect a place where you can have a great 1-on-1 conversation with someone. Just go with some friends and have a good time.
Review Source:Beer lover's paradise!!!!! Â Typically have between 60+ ON TAP!!!!, which is constantly changing, and bottles of craft beers as well. Â Live bands perform frequently at night and throughout the weekend. Â Minimal food service is available.....a guy is churning out burgers and tacos on a flat griddle next to one of the bars. Â
Naja's consistently hosting events showcasing various craft breweries. Â Highly recommend going during LA Beer Week, because they have an event every night. Â Great chance to taste beers not readily available unless at the brewery or in the local geographical markets.
It can get crowded, but it's never too long a wait for a beer. Â Even if you have to wait, it's usually worth it.
This place lives in a magic fantasy land where you can roll out of bed and watch the sunset over the pacific while inside a divey beer with 100+ beers. Â No shirts? No shoes? No problems. Â You can even get away without having any teeth. Â If you do have teeth, I highly recommend the kabob plate and all of it's kaboby glory. Â I briefly moved to Boston after living in Hermosa Beach for a year. Â My last night in California was spent at Naja's and it was one of the first places I frequented when I moved back. Â It's a place that will love you regardless of your life circumstances and lovingly will pretty much never change. Â Also, they have a sweet happy hour where the beer flows and the people of the Redondo pier rejoice. Â
And FYI - if it's your first time visiting you might get really really lost trying to find this place. Â It's right beneath a parking structure on the Redondo Pier.
Oh the bicycle pub crawls that have brought me here..
As others have mentioned this is not your romantic pier side date place. this is where you grab a nice cold craft beer after a long summer day.
The atmosphere is very casual welcoming and open to the ocean breeze ( as well as the smell of fishermen and ambiance of pier  pedestrian traffic) which adds the atmosphere.
The selection of craft beer is probably the best locally. Their selection changes and never short on offerings.
As mentioned at my opening most South Bay bicycle pub crawls start/end or pass through this nice comfy breezy place  ( Memorial/Labor day, 12 bars of Christmas, Beerapalooza.... Most locals have a story or two that passed through the Naja's.
This summer if your Strand bike ride finds you needing a little rest and thirsty for some suds. Naja's will openly welcome your tired feet and dry throat.
A chill bar with a huge beer selection that opens up to the water - what more could you ask for? There's definitely a dive-y quality to this place, but I like that. This isn't where you'd take your parents to a fancy meal on the water. But if you want some simple bar food they're got that covered.
I had their "famous" kabob plate and it's definitely worth a try. They mixed both chicken and steak for me and every bite was great. The hummus had a spicy kick to it too, good thing I had beer to wash it down with. My friends both got burgers and they were satisfied too.

I love coming here! It's my go-to bar for any and all occasions! A great little place. Now that I've moved, I make it a point to meet friends here whenever I come home. Nothing beats a sunset beer (or two, or pitcher, or usually, pitchers...) with fresh ocean air. The beer selection is AMAZING! And so are the prices. When it's too loud inside, the tiny strip of patio is appreciated. After too much beer, the basket of  fries are a perfect addition to the night. Also, a special thanks to the bouncer. I do recall one night at Naja's where my friend got way too hammered and the bouncer was super helpful and patient. I've only had good Naja's experiences. So you'll find me here whenever I'm in the area!
Review Source:My boyfriend is a major beer nut and was obsessed with this place! Their selection is very extensive... There were lots of new and fun beers to chose from! We really enjoyed spending a few hours here on a sunny, lazy Saturday afternoon. The chicken kabob is also an amazing snack to enjoy with a few beers. We'll definitely be back time and again!
Review Source:This is another fun place to come and smell the ocean and fish. Â There are also many many varieties of tap beer here as well that could make anyone happy, Â Naja's the only place in town where you can get a pitcher of anything from Mammoth Brewing's Nut Brown ale to El Segundo's Blue House IPA for $15.
Review Source:My boyfriend has recently become excited about craft beers, and on the weekends we often ride our bikes along the bike path past Redondo Pier. Naja's gave us a chance to join these two favorite things: beer and bikes! Â On an early Sunday afternoon we stopped here for lunch.
It was an open-air bar on the lower level facing the marina, with barstools grouped around small round wooden tables. Â It offered an impressive 88 beers on tap and the their menu was simple and easy to follow: a large whiteboard clearly listing all tap selections, color-coded by price. My BF had Pliny the Elder and I asked for a mix of Hoegaarden and Framboise. Â I like a half-half mix, but had to settle for only about 2-3 inches of Framboise in the bottom of my glass; the guy serving us warned me that it would be way more expensive for a half-half mix. Â While he did seem knowledgeable, and talked to us about some of the different double- and quadruple-IPAs they had, I do wish he had offered us a taste of at least one of the beers he discussed; it would have helped us decide. I did like that Naja's puts out of a large cooler of water and plastic cups; you can help yourself.
The hamburger I ordered was just ok, nothing special, and for $10, I thought it was overpriced. Weak, soggy bun. The menu promised a 1/2-lb patty, but be assured that weight is BEFORE cooking. The patty wasn't hearty and tasted flavorless. Â It was served with a basket of fries which didn't have any salt or seasoning.
My BF ordered the small kebab plate with mixed beef and chicken. THAT is what I should have ordered! I stole off of his plate. It was the small plate, but still came with a lot of food. Â I expected the meat to be served on wooden sticks, but instead, the meat was sliced in small pieces (the beef was in VERY small pieces) and mixed with these delicious little grilled mushrooms and onions. The meat was seasoned so deliciously! The plate came with hummus, sour cream, guac, fresh green jalapeno sauce, lettuce, and hot pitas. Â It was amazing -- the kebab plate was the highlight of our Naja's experience!
As we sat there, we saw the place begin to fill up, and many people were regulars. We will definitely be back, mostly for the kebab plate!
Large dive bar conveniently located in Redondo Beach Marina. Â This place has been around for a long time, certainly for LA standards. Â I remember my first time to Naja's something like 18 years ago (has it been that long, really? Â wow.....).
Massive if not excellent beer list, open, airy environment. Â Sort of like a larger, LA version of the Toronado, except with a good beer selection instead of phenomenal.
Fantastic selection of beers on Tap! Also enjoy coming here for Taco Monday, with chicken or steak tacos for just $1.50 each, makes for a great evening with a couple good beers and some eats, watch the game on TV or just relax at this local semi-dive. I don't consider it a true "dive bar" considering the great beer selection is TOP QUALITY, the staff is friendly and they take credit cards too.
Review Source:Gotta love a local dive, especially when the front windows are open, the sun streams in, and you can look out the the boats docked just a few yards away (not all that picturesque, but it does give off an authentic sense of grit). It's off the beaten path, but it still feels pretty beat.
There are a lot of old Naja's stories, especially from back when the original owner created a  beerapalooza decades before gastropubs became hip. Thankfully, that hasn't changed--there are at least 70 excellent craft beers on tap, and many more in the bottle. Never had the food, because no matter how buzzed I am, it looks pretty heinous.
Still, I can stop in after a ride on the bike path, get a great beer, and listen to a bar band chewing up the classics classics on the weekend, all in the most unpretentious atmosphere imaginable.
The best beer selection in the South Bay, I may go as far as saying LA county. Everything you could want is here from bud light to pliny. Serves as a great spot to watch multiple sporting events while drinking some of the best beer in the world. If you have never been here I recommend you change that.
Review Source:I wish I could give Naja's a full 5 stars because I really do love this bar. Parking is easy and riding bikes there is even better. The beer selection is awesome, the staff behind the bar are very informative and helpful, the harbor view is amazing, and the atmosphere of Naja's is exactly what I like to enjoy at a beach bar.
My only complaint really, and why I can only give 3 stars, is about the security. There is one guy in particular that has the worst case of small man syndrome I have ever witnessed. I went to Naja's on Sunday with my boyfriend and his family. His mom, his dad, his sister, and a couple friends. It was family day and by no way were we a rowdy drunken group. A few of us made the mistake of taking a sip of our beers through the open windows while standing on the harbor side of the Naja's wall. Instead of politely advising us that the bar could get fined for that, the security gaurd came over with his chest pumped out, fists clenched, a ridiculous attitude, and took our remaining beers away. Half drank beers that we paid for were taken away! Even the beers that belonged to us still inside of Naja's were taken! All he would have had to do was come over, politely advise us of how important that rule is, and ask us to not let it happen again. Instead, he had to show us how tough he thinks he is and turn a simple situatuon into something negative.
This guy really needs to go. We had multiple other strangers come up to our group and explain similar situations that had happened to them with the same security guard. I understand rules of establishments. I'm not intentionally trying to break the rules of any place I go especially somewhere I enjoy going to. Naja's is such a fun spot with the greatest vibe and this jerk screws it all up.
Don't go to Naja's expecting something fancy and modern, and I probably would not recommend it for a first date. Go to Naja's because you love craft beer and because they have 88 beers on tap with a rotating selection.
I think it's a great location, they have open doors and windows and you can just relax and have a beer and watch the birds fly over the marina. It's a fun spot along the boardwalk with that comfy pub atmosphere and a nice ocean breeze.
Friendly and knowledgable staff, and they have a grill if you are hungry, are heard the kabobs are amazing.
Naja's was one of the more popular places to meet up for happy hour for years due to the great atmosphere, ease of parking, good food and 80 beers on tap. Â 80! Â
I like beer, so I'll start there. Â Tons of selection, styles, nationalities and flavors that change frequently enough to keep things interesting, but not so often that you get frustrated because you never know what to get. Â The prices are easily understood due to their color-coding system and always reasonably priced. Â
The food is good for what it is. Â Expect pub grub, not cuisine. Â They cook it right in front of you at the bar and it arrives quickly.
The bar's open side looks right out into the marina and is a great spot to relax with a brew and watch the sun go down after a long work week. Â There are typically a wide variety of people there, so I never felt out of place and the vibe is very laid back.
I've since moved out of the area and I miss it so much!
This place is exactly what I want from a dive. Â A decent house band that plays classic rock and takes requests, good bar food, pool tables, and a ridiculous choice of beer. Â Throw into the mix that I can sit by an open window and smell the ocean and I have found my happy place!
I really wanted to give this place 5 stars but what held me back was the coldness of the bartender. Â Really? You can't crack a smile, or manage to be a bit more polite than say...a robot? Â He was cold to the point of making me think he disliked me and my husband. Â
That won't stop me from going back because I don't rely on the bartender to entertain me, but friendlier staff would be nice.
Redondo Beach is not my favorite place in LA. Â It's a little rough around the edges and it smells like a fish market. Â However, if you ever find yourself here and need some respite, come to Naja's Place. Â Tons of Beers to choose from and they even sell bubbly by the bottle at reasonable prices. Â Deep fried bar food is available too. Â Open air feel, pleasant music and a diverse crowd. Â Decent spot for day drinking. Â The bartenders could use a few pints of friendly lager if you ask me, but overall, not a bad spot to beat the heat in summer.
Review Source:Naja's Place is one great place to have a good time and to eat some delicious
food. Dare I say, one of the best place to eat and drink some beer. Najas is located in Redondo beach and it's not a big bar, but it's not too small either. If you go to Najas, you have to go with friends and buy a couple of pitchers. I have to thank my friend for showing me one of the best bars in Los Angeles.
The food at Najas is fantastic; just don't go to Najas expecting a five star restaurant. For what the place is though, they have some really good food. They don't have a massive menu with all kinds of food, but they do have your typical American foods like chicken strips, a personal favorite, and hamburgers. They do have some other dishes that are not American, like fajitas, which I tried a couple times. They serve fajitas in either chicken or meat and love the smell of green peppers that are grilled, a really great dish for a bar. Almost everything in their menu comes with French fries; lots of them too. The cook is awesome because he is not greedy with his dishes, it's like go big or go home. He serves you a really big plate with a great amount of fries. My favorite dish is a rather simple plate; chicken strips and fries. Their chicken strips are a decent size and are made are always made fresh. They are also really tender and are never overcooked. Top it off with some fries and you truly can't go wrong. The hamburger is also huge and the patty is really juicy; it also comes with its plate of fries on the side. An honorable mention would be their mozzarella sticks, which is a great appetizer. You know what goes great with all of their delicious food, a nice cold beer. With their ridiculous 88 different kinds of beer on tap, you really can't go wrong with this place. They have everything from light beer like bud light, coors light, and miller light, to dark beer like Newcastle, stone pale ale, and Sierra Nevada. It's like a beer paradise that you would never want to leave. My favorite beers that they have are Newcastle and Widmer Hefewiezer, which are dark beers. They also have a small variety of wines available for the people that don't want to drink beer. As for me, I have yet to try them out since I'm not too big on wine. They have some good, simple food, but add a nice cold beer with that food, then they have something I'll keep coming back to.
Believe it or not, it wasn't the beer or the food that kept me coming back; it was the atmosphere of the place that I loved the most. It's just so much fun to go during the weekends and hanging out with you friends. It's also great to go during the week, but when the place truly shines, it's on the weekends when they have a live bands. Their main band is the Land Sharks, which is mostly a cover band that that plays songs from famous bands like Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Rolling Stones. When the band goes on their break, you can go up to them and request a song. If they know the song they will play it for you. Najas also has some great employers who are very helpful and extremely nice. I actually became good friends with the security guy. When business is slow, he would come and hang out with me and my friends. You never know who you'll meet at Najas. Most of the people that go to Najas are locals but you also have a couple new people going there all the time to have a good time. It's awesome when people start singing and dancing to a song that the live band is playing. Another great way to meet new people and pass time is playing pool; sadly, they only have one pool table. Top it all off with the fact that it's next to the beach and you have a recipe for success and a really great
time.
What is left to say about Najas that's already been said? It's a great bar with great food. You never know who you are going to meet or run into the next time you visit Najas. In my opinion, it's the best place to hang out with friends and meet new people. You also have the location, which is right next to the beach and who wouldn't like a bar next to the ocean? The
only downside I can think of is the fact that you have to be 21 years old to get in. If you want some simple food, but delicious, a variety of beers on tap, a small variety of wine, an awesome atmosphere, a great location, and top it all off with some Rock n Roll, then Naja's Place is the way to go.
The only thing OK about this place is Frank the bouncer - the bar bitch behind the taps, a guy that was about as rude as they come - piss off pal... If it wasn't for Frank you my friend would have gotten your ass beaten... Never to return... Booo on it all ratehr buy from a liquor store and sit on the pier with the homeless peeps atleast there not tools...
Review Source:Naja's is my old stomping grounds. Â I've gotten drunk here more times than I can count. Â Now that I'm a "bit" older and my weekend partying has died off considerably I don't get here as much as I like. Â I'm not a big beer drinker and I stick mostly to Coors Light. Â Boring, I know.
I mostly come here for the ambiance and the music. Â It's a good band and the drummer has been with the band at least 20 years. Â It's a nice crowd of people of varying ages and nationalities. Â I'm glad to see that after all these years it's still a popular place. Â I try and come by every time I'm in the area...it brings me back to younger days. Â Naja's will always have a special place in my heart!
80 beers. Boom.
Whats left to say? Â How about this . . . The Land Sharks. The Land Sharks is the name of the band that plays on Friday and Saturday nights. They play classic and contemporary rock. Honestly, they make the joint.
Yeah, the 80 beers are cool. And yes, the beachfront property is even cooler. But those two elements without good music would still be a dive. The Land Sharks play hard and loud. They sing with a purpose and know how to carry a buzz.
Ive been coming to Naja's for about 11 years. Its a solid choice if you want a shit-ton of beers, awesome music, and nice people. If you're looking for tail, take your young ass down the street to Hermosa cause you're barking up the wrong tree.
I love this place...but.
The complete lack of cell signal (tested on different services and phone brands), really kills this spot for me. Â They supposedly added WiFi, but that has yet to ever work. Â They never had parking validation before and now you have to prepay based on your best guess at how long you may stay there. Â And the way that the city has laid it out, they have intentionally and unnecessarily red curbed the immediate area, eliminating street parking, to force people into the paid lot. Â
Great beers and great people who work there, as well as a generally friendly crowd. Â Good pricing. Â I even love the dingy, dockside atmosphere. Â But if I have to always pay for parking and always have to leave the place to communicate with the outside world (letting people know where I am), those are significant enough issues for me to ding the review by two stars. Â
So if you live locally and bike or you don't care about paying for parking just to get a beer or if you can get away with the complete isolationism of not having contact with the outside world (nobody can reach you, either), then this may just be the best place that you can find to get a beer in the area. Â This review is in no way meant to be bashing of Naja's, but hopefully to bring to their attention that these are some serious issues that need to be addressed.
If you like beer, come here.
If you like beers you can never manage to get at most bars, come here.
If there are beers you want to try, come here.
If you want to try new beers but have no idea where to start, come here. The people that work here really know what they're talking about. Every time I come here, I give them an example of what beers I like, and they give me something I like.
If you like the occasional classic rock cover band, and don't mind a loud atmosphere come here
If you only like mixed drinks and shots, do not come here.
If you like douchey bars with douchey music, do not come here.
Great service, great beers, great atmosphere.
All around seriously awesome bar.
This place is absolute heaven for anyone who can appreciate a good beer.
The bartenders are helpful if you are overwhelmed with the huge selection like I was. Â Just tell them what you like, they'll know what to get you. Â I went on a Saturday and there was a live band playing pretty decent cover songs. Casual divey atmosphere and you feel so welcome there. Â
All in all, I absolutely love this place.
Naja's is probably my favorite place to grab a beer and catch up with my friends in the South Bay. It is super low key and perfectly divey. There's always a lot of interesting people there too. It's fun meeting new people there.
I love trying out new beers here. They have such a huge selection of beers (88 on tap and lots of bottled stuff) that is constantly on rotation; I usually manage to try at least one new beer when I'm at Najas. Although I have to note, I don't think I have ever seen the menu with all 88 lines filled  in, and I've seen them run out of a beer of two on a couple occasions.
The food is OK. Hot wings are tasty, but nothing too special. It is definitely a bar not a fancy gastropub
My girlfriend and I came down to the water to get a beer and walk around and Naja's was the place we stopped. Â hey had a fun ska-ish band playing when I was there and there were fun to listen to. Â They were actually good which made how loud it was much more acceptable. Â
Naja's has a very large beer selection but they are generally more pricey. Â $6-$8/beer is a little on the steep side in my opinion, but they do have stuff you don't see everywhere.
We ordered some onion rings as well, but they were not very good. Â They were definitely pre-frozen and just fried up right there. Not sure how the other food is, but the fried stuff looked mostly the same.
I'd be happy to come back to Naja's. Probably wouldn't eat anything but I'd definitely get a beer or two on a nice day and people watch.
Don't eat the food. It's really greasy and totally made me queasy for the rest of the day. Luckily, it's really just a bar with a ton on tap. Go for the live music and beer.
Random side note, I have AT&T and I usually have pretty solid service in LA. I got no service whatsoever, so don't expect to check your phone while you're there.
Ahh Naja's. Â I've been going here for years. Â It was my first craft beer bar. Â Naja's is like an old mistress you always find yourself coming back to. Â Sure you may choose to be faithful to a certain classier place maybe with fewer offerings and a nicer clientele, but in the end, there's Naja's.
Their beer selection is the largest in Los Angeles. Â They get stuff nobody else in the country gets. Â They put on festivals and are always happy to have local breweries on tap (Strand, Monkish, Smog City, etc...). Â Make sure you check out their bottle selection too...it's pretty nice.
As other reviewers have said, the food is actually pretty tasty. Â I love their burgers and the large kabob plate will fill you up quite nicely (it's probably better to split this). Â Also, taco mondays are always a good thing. Â
The things I don't like about Naja's:
--their coverbands. Â They're awful. Â I'm sorry. Â
--everything is always wet or sticky. Â
--rotation. Â I've gone in there and gone back weeks later to find the same beers in the same spots. Â Naja's is also the only bar I've gotten sick from. Â Whether this was from unclean taplines or just too much drinking/weird combination with food, I don't know. Â This is another thing I like about Select Beer, up the street. Â Wes only wants a beer on tap for no more than two weeks. Â Keep 'em fresh and clean.
Yes, it's divey, and yes the crowd can sometimes be a bit overwhelming and annoying, but it's Najas. Â It's a great place to go, hang out, order some damn good beers and enjoy yourself. Â Cheers
Extensive craft beer selection. 88 beers on tap + large bottle selection. Consistent rotation, check their website before you go for the current offerings.
Located at Redondo Beach pier on the water. The open layout is perfect on a warm day, otherwise dress appropriately as it can get cold. The crowd is made up of mostly locals. They have multiple televisions so you can come and watch games.
Expect a casual dive bar atmosphere, very mellow vibe. Â No frills, seriously. Just GOOD beer! Russian River, Ballast Point and Drakes, yes please! Bartender has always been very friendly and knowledgeable.
Check out one of their events!
great place to drink on a saturday afternoon if you like sun, the ocean, sports on tv and cold beers. Their beer selection is huge and have many of the tougher beers to get in your local bar.
on top of that the food there is very underrated. The kabob plate w/ green sauce is outstanding...get extra green sauce. also the chili fries are a good compliment to the buzz you'll have after a few beers. theres a live band that plays on saturdays as well and the place is always packed with south bay locals.
My favorite bar in all the land.
They used to have an extremely great happy hour deal ($3 for any beer), but have since charged an extra buck and limited what you can get. That's OK though, as they have the best selection of beers around. The scenery is spectacular, and it's the best part of what everyone loves about a dive bar. It's open air, so bring a sweatshirt for when the sun goes down as it can get chilly on the water.
They have live music all of the time, and they can pull down a giant projector screen to watch big sporting events. The food is decent, a limited bar food selection but their wings, zucchini sticks, and greek plate selections are the best.
It's been getting more and more crowded over the years so it's hard to get a seat at times, but I've had some of the greatest times with friends at this place.
A true BEER bar. Â 88 taps of some of the finest craft beer!
They have a tap cam on their site that shows what they currently have available. Â On Thursdays they do events (Barrel Aged beers, Dogfish Head, Sam Adams, Local Brews, Russian River, Facebook Fan Appreciation, etc, etc, etc).
Located on the boardwalk next to the Marina, you can see boats bobbing just outside the bar. Â Great weather and atmosphere. Â They have a TON of tap handles screwed into the ceiling - such a cool visual feature.
The staff can seem a bit stand offish at times, but that's just because they're probably swamped. Â Otherwise they are knowledgable and have a great sense of humor. Â The more you come back, the more you feel like family with the staff and patrons.
There are two areas: the main entry is large and has cocktail tables, jukebox, and a stage where local bands can play. Â The small area to the left with only bar seating and is mostly standing room tends to be the area the "regulars" go during events.
If you have AT&T, the cell service kinda sucks down at the Marina/Pier.
GREAT place to check out if you're in the area and looking for craft beer.
