As of this writing, I'm the Duke of Neighbors... Â I can't explain how happy that makes me for a variety of reasons including my sad sad pride, my late entry to the iPhone game, etc. Â Whatever. Â I just had to put this in writing before it vanished. Â
ANYWAY - Neighbors is a great little wine bar.  They have a  very helpful staff that will recommend stuff for you and listen to you as you demonstrate your wine knowledge through explanation of what you like and want (see - myself).  As my wife, the Ladyhawk, mentions in her review, they have no problem with our baby (or shall I say toddler) and that's totally awesome when we want small plates in the early Ephraim-friendly evenings.
As for the wines, I'm no connoisseur, but they currently have a KILLER viognier on the by-the-glass menu that I could drink till the cows come home.
I never hang out in this area, but I had a massage in the neighborhood and wanted to have a glass of wine to relax beforehand. I sat at the bar and ordered a flight of Spanish wines...and then another glass so that I could REALLY relax :) Even though I wasn't too hungry, I ordered a meat and cheese plate because all of the ones going out looked oh-so scrumptious.
Everything was marvelous. There is a diverse selection of wines, but also a full bar if you are looking for something more stiff or prefer beer. The menu seemed to focus mostly on meats and cheeses, so it is more of an appetizer place, but there were a few paninis and salads on the menu as well if you are feeling famished.
The atmosphere is cozy. The place is small and everything is nice, but doesn't seem pretentious. The two people working were very helpful and kind. There is a small bar area where you can sit, or there are a few tables inside and a few on the patio. It looks like they have a garage-door style front-facing wall that can be opened on nice days. There were a surprising number of children there, which could have been a drawback for me, but none were screaming, so all was well. If you have kids, though, it seems to be just fine to bring them along.
In total, I spent $40 pre-tip for a flight, a glass of wine and a plate with two cheeses and a meat (I had to bring most of that home with me!). A bit expensive for one person, but I was feeling rather extravagant and it was completely worth it.
First visit last night and I'm planning to go back for more. Â I was a regular at Perk Hill, the former long time occupant of the space, and its always been one of my favorite locations for hanging out. Â Coffee or wine, doesn't matter.
The wine selection was nice. Â I was celebrating a work victory with a friend so we had bubbly - really nice bubbly! Â Our server was very helpful to us in choosing food that would pair nicely with the wine. Â We did a cheese selection which was served with some grapes, nuts, bread and crackers and a small plate of sweet and savory crostini.
The pairing was perfect but I would like to see a little more quantity in the food. Â Right or wrong, I tend to judge quantity of an order in its ability to stand up to my drink. Â Generally a one to one should work but this wasn't quite enough.
My favorite thing about this wine bar is that they don't mind if you bring babies in. One of the perks of pretty much any place in Park Hill I think.
It's a pretty tiny place with about four outside patio tables and a similar set-up on the inside in addition to a little bit of bar seating. The menu is fairly small as well and everything on it is tapas style. The food has been hit or miss for me. I've ordered some things I've really enjoyed (pretty much any of the charcuterie) and others that were just okay (a seared tuna dish), but nothing has ever been terrible.
They do offer flights of wine and a small selection of beer and the service has always been nice. I wouldn't really recommend this place for a full on dinner (unless you're looking for something super, super casual), but it is nice for happy hour, wine and snacks, or a late night nibble.
Great wine, tapas, salads, panini and even dessert bar. Â Full bar. Â A little pricey but a fabulous place with a great concept. Loved the artisan cheese plate and the salads. Â Brought my own GF flatbread (Udis pizza crust)-they do have glutino crackers. Â Regular bread and 34 Degree crackers served. Â Loved the wine selection. Â Yeah!!!!
Review Source:Wow we loved this place! It is in fact in our neighborhood, and has a feel of urban relaxation. The service was great, the atmosphere hip, and the food & drinks awesome. We had the arugula & prosciutto salad w/artichokes. My hubby had a Chimay cheese & I had the spicy grilled shrimp. We've been making our own variation of the salad this week, and really enjoying it.
We went again this week, and our server recommended a really incredible red zin. Damn, that thing was awesome!
Recently in Denver for a business trip and found this quaint little place to have dinner with a girlfriend. Â It is in a beautiful old neighborhood and is a small place however this allows for attentive service from the chef, to the bar tender, to the wait staff. Â Overall a very nice dining experience that was not rushed with a delicious wine list that while not broad has a good variety and quality.

Review Source:My husband and I came here excited for a great little neighborhood place to visit frequently. Â We came looking for a couple glasses of wine and snacks. Â We had 2 glasses of wine each, a couple snacks,( olives, Â ceviche, and we split a turkey panini.) Â The panini was boring, nothing special about it , we actually didn't finish it. and were handed a bill for $100. Â Not worth the money, lower the prices or serve better food. Â There are a lot of good places to choose from, hopefully Neighbors figures out how to be one of them. Â I really want to support the locals.
Review Source:We were thrilled to see a cute little wine bar open in the neighborhood. Neighbors has a nice wine list and our server was fantastic.
However, the owner couldn't have been less welcoming, and the huge TV playing reality tv hanging over the bar/kitchen area is a huge negative and ads to the really noisy atmosphere (even with the place only about 1/3 full we had to talk really loud to hear each other across the table).
They claim to be family friendly, even have toys and a kids menu (as you must in a neighborhood like Park Hill), but it was clear that our kids were not welcome here.
It's a shame, our group was looking for a "regular" hang out for a glass of wine, but I guess this won't be the place...
I hope Neighbors makes it.  I have lived it Park Hill for many years.  We really  do need a place to hang out, have a glass of wine and a snack.  Neighbors seemingly fits the bill. I just found it overpriced for what you get.  10.00 for a glass of "house red" something that most likely had a picture of an animal on the label.  A panini with a tiny piece of Prosciutto  on it.  The  prices  need to be  lower or the quality of food and drink higher.  Then it would be Welcome to the Neighborhood! Â
A couple of things about the service. Â Wrong bill, then wrong change and a slightly uppity remark about Happy Hour, they don't believe in it. Â You will need to be a tad bit friendlier too.
We were delighted to find another great spot in the neighborhood! The small plates were wonderful - the seared orange tuna and the mozzarella and eggplant were fabulous and creative. The Chocolate Gateau on a thin salted crust was divine and my husband loved the Chocolate Pecan Pie. Wonderful wine list and excellent and enthusiastic service. It's small, but the space is well utilized and the size adds to its intimacy and charm. Can be a bit noisy. We'll be back regularly!
Review Source:This is a cool, funky little neighborhood wine bar that we stopped at prior to my birfday dinner at Tables. Â Â There are roughly 10 - 15 tables with a smaller, fully stocked bar as well. Â The wine choices are varied and good by the glass, they're not old stale wines, and the prices are reasonable. Â They've also got a great selection of delicious food items such as meats and cheeses to enjoy with the wine.
I'll definitely return. Â This is one of my favorite wine bars.
We have been anxiously awaiting the opening of Neighbors. Â It is definitely a great addition to Kearney Street and South Park Hill. Â The food was good as was the wine. Â Although it wasn't Solera or Tables "Great", it was still enjoyable and the atmosphere was very nice. Â The owners certainly put a lot of hard work in, fixing up the space - it really needed a facelift. Â Neighbors should do well in this location.
Review Source:Finally, a cool funky little neighborhood establishment with a great wine and beer selection and a fine selection of quick bites. The menu is paper that you order off of much like ordering sushi except the food is more traditional. For example they have a nice selection of fresh cheeses and meats that you can order. We did order a bowl of olives and received a large assortment of Italian olives. The food is bright and fresh and the wine list is top notch. The personal attention to detail is really refreshing.
