Typical hole in the wall neighborhood dive bar! It's literally less then a 2 minute walk from my friends house (yes, we actually timed it one night ha!). They had karaoke the night we went which, let's be honest, always ends up being fun :) The draft beer I had order ran out so the bar tender gave me another one similar for free. When I went back after they replaced the empty tap with a new one, it was really foamy so once again the bar tender just gave me another beer for free. Gotta lovey free beer!
Review Source:Exactly what it sounds like, I great neighborhood bar with awesome bartenders, a pretty great food menu and fun people. Pool tables, darts, video games, and you can even play video poker with friends on a TV with remotes. They do daily drink specials, and karaoke on Fridays. This isn't a first date spot, but it is the type of place where you can become a regular and have a good time.
Review Source:New owner has made some changes. Â Though, more to the menu (still horrible) than the actual upkeep of the bar. Â
Little TV's at every table, so you can watch what YOU want to watch. Â They also have that one bar game...whats it called...hmm,,i forgot, but you can play trivia, or poker with people in the bar. Â Pretty cool. Â
They have karaoke on Fri-Sat nights. Â Its just not the same. Â I don't come here very often any longer, and when I do, I grab one drink and leave. Â My money is better at other establishments.
This is a place where I felt I could walk in and talk to everyone. Â People are happy to see me when I come in. Â Now, I hardly come in after being verbally abused by the owner for having an opinion and telling him he should be nicer to his patrons. Â The ones that help keep him open.
CON: Â Food menu is ever-changing, and typical frozen bar food. Â The cooks are poorly chosen and look like they need a shower. Â I go here for drinks. Â No longer for food.
BE WARNED: Â Be expected to be verbally abused by owner for leaving negative comments if you return.
So this place wasn't as sketchy as i thought it would be, but it was close. Some friends of friends thought it would be a good idea to check out this dive bar in Renton and so an outing was planned. Upon entering, I noticed that there were quite a few people, mostly a few large groups celebrating birthdays.
Karaoke-ing was going on at the front of the bar. I wish that there were more karaoke-ers throughout the night, because that's always entertaining. The DJ was pretty good; he was singing pretty much every single song. He was adorable.
The drinks were nice and strong and cheap too! They have a blackboard listing all of the different flavored vodkas that they had. That alone would be reason enough to go back. I had the bubblegum vodka with sprite. Delish! I felt bad for the bartender because it looked like she was bartending AND cooking the food in the back. This sometimes made for a long wait for a drink.
I could be convinced to go back, but only with a group of people as I think I would stick out like a sore thumb if I was by myself.
I Â live in a condo next door, and get a kick out of telling people that I live within crawling distance of the NO-BULL SALOON.
It has been my experience the last 8 years that Ty runs a very tight ship and Katie doesn't know what she's missing.
Heidi serves up the best Tri-Tip steak and eggs in The Highlands on Sunday mornings. Get the double Baily's and coffee in one of her giant mugs.
Kendra will get you the Deep Fried Garlic Mushrooms or the Calamari and try the Chicken Quesadilla (I like mine without onions but... you know) and I do like the Reuben, but it's kind of "Manufactured" if you know what I mean (sliced luncheon meat).
Don't miss Thursday, it's Prime Rib night. Never mind that the Baked Potatoes are simply HUGE. The salads are to die for. You could feed two out of each salad. They come with all the goodies. Cheese and olives, tomatoes and cucumbers too!
Other than that, I love coming here for either pool or darts or the game de`jour. Nice TV's strategically located, but not so many as to make it a Sports Bar.
It can get "modern" later in the evening (i.e. top 40, hip-hop, rap...not that there is anything wrong with that) Â and I am up past my bedtime if I get caught up in it!!
Anyway....check it out and say hi!
A friend of mine wanted to meet here for Breakfast, I had never been here before and can't say I was loo excited about it either. Â Too say I was "surprised" is an understatement. Â I had the Eggs Benedict and my friend had the Chicken Fried Steak. Â The portions were huge and the price was reasonable. Â I've returned a couple times and am glad my friend brought me here otherwise I would have never known how good the food is.
Review Source:5 STAR DIVE BAR RATING! I love this place, what a riot! Most definitely a local hangout that is welcoming to outsiders. You get that if cheers were in a mini strip-mall in Renton feeling when you walk in, they aren't going to know your name but they sure do seem to all know each other! Â
Contrary to Joshs review.. trust the food, eat the food, you are going to love the food. If you're on a diet don't even open the menu but if you are in comfort food mode you have hit the jackpot, the grilled prime rib sandwich is outstanding, quesadillas... ooooo I already miss those, nothing remotely close to kind of bad could be said about the pizza in place - HUGE and tasty! Let's not forget breakfast, all the other places on the hill should just be embarrassed by their weak attempts compared to the Bull. As a matter of fact the price to food is portioned as if the owner was begging to go out of business, ooo well, it's to our advantage! Not only that, get a drink, crap they don't hold back there either! If you are a fan of the Jager-bomb then you have found your new watering hole. Â
It is true, they do have pull tabs but let's not overlook the pool tables, dart boards and video machines, plenty to do if hanging out and having a conversation with one of the regulars isn't your thing. Â
Lastly the service has always been more than friendly and fast. They do seem to cling to the regulars but never miss a beat when you need'um!
Well if you like pulltabs and coors light this is probably the bar for you. Â Certainly wouldn't trust any food from here. Â
Though we always have trouble remembering the name, is it the bullpen, bullpit, bullseye, bullsh**, no bullsh**. Â I've even won a couple bets by remembering the name of the place.
