My husband likes coming here for the lasagna. That's the only thing he's ever ordered and will never complain. His salad is a mixed green salad that had huge pieces of lettuce that require a knife and fork. The only vegetables were a few pieces of sliced carrots. Â I ordered Chicken Parmesan with minestrone soup. The soup came lukewarm and I would call it cabbage soup. It was splashed all over the side of the cup and the plate was full of broth. There wasn't one bite of pasta in it and it had no flavor. I took 2 bites and stopped. The waiter, who was friendly, came and took it away without asking me how it was. He must know already. The spaghetti sauce tasted like it was out of a can. The spaghetti was also watery and very hard to eat without making a mess. The chicken was average and had some cheese on top. It wasn't baked on, which is my preference.
The house red wine was decent and economical.
The bread sticks in wrappers are terrible. The bread is cold but it was soft and tore since the butter was cold and hard. I wish I had something nicer to say.
The service was great. Â The waitress was nice, attentive, and checked in on us often throughout dinner. Â I liked the casual and family-friendly atmosphere. Â However, I did wish that the booths were a little sturdier. Â Every time the person sitting behind me got up or moved, the back rest we shared also moved.
Although I loved the service, the food was not impressive at all but okay for the price. Â Their salad dressing had good flavor but seemed watered down. Â They provided complimentary thin cracker breadsticks and bread. Â The breadsticks were yummy, but loaf was cold and stale. Â The veal parmigiana tasted like it was previously frozen and reheated in the microwave. Â I did like the cannelloni though. Â
I guess the best part of the dinner was the breadsticks, which can probably be picked up at the grocery store.
Pretty impressed for a small mom & pop place!
We stopped for dinner on a Saturday night cuz we wanted "good pizza," not the kind that comes in a box.
We ordered two mediums for the 4 of us & it was just enough with a few pieces left over. The kids had Hawaiian & said it was really good. We adults got the Margherita one I think it was called? With fresh basil, chopped tomatoes, & mozzerella...... plus we had em add sliced prosciutto. YUUUUMMM!!! They even brought us an extra little bowl of basil & a side of their special creamy pesto sauce for dipping.
I was surprised there was only one other table of patrons at the time, but it sounded like the lounge was pretty busy from what we could hear. My daughter was disappointed that she couldn't participate in the karaoke as it sounded like they were having a great time in the bar! :)
