I've been in a few WOB locations around the country, and this would be my favorite for a number of reasons.  The set up inside is really well done, with a stage for live music and a patio out on the street.  I'm pretty impressed with the mix of high tops, bar stools, full tables and patio seating!

No food (yet) but you can order from a ton of local Landing restaurants and they will ask where you'r seated and bring it all the way to your table!  As for the beer, I have to give kudos to the WOB staff for recognizing that Seattle has great local breweries, and involving them at their establishment.  I think I was told around 1/3 of the taps are local (I hope that number expands, but it's a great start).

I don't think WOB is for everyone, especially with the beer scene we have in the PNW.  If the people going there night after night (a little bro-tastic of a crowd) are having fun, then it seems to be working.  If it opens people's mind's to the possibility of beer beyond bud light, then I'm all for it.  And if you have problems with a new establishment, you should be a good little patron and give clear feedback to the staff and management.

World of Beer...Just how do a rank a place on drinks alone. I may have to create my own category of drink only places so they can be ranked appropriately..oh that is a bar... Well, for a bar, it is a very big one that can get busy during the good summer nights and live music nights. They have live music on select days (check their website for details but seems to be thursday, friday, saturday). There is an outside patio and the walls open up the whole place to the outside. A good place to meet up with a group of friends to just talk and drink. They do also have some table games along one of the walls (imagine a giant jenga game). So the atmosphere is pretty decent.
The service, well, it could be better. You need to have the initiative on getting the drink orders in to ensure you get your drink and keep getting drinks or you could be sitting for a while.
The selection, there are a lot of beers and some wine. It would take a while to go through the book of beer selection. The price, well, would love to say it was really good deals but I think it is average for a trendy beer shop.
No food here so there is just no ranking on that. They do have a partnership of sorts it seems with some surrounding restaurants that will deliver their food to your location in World of Beer.
I'd give it a 3 to 3.5 to balance out the atmosphere and service.

My friends and I love this place. BUT only if we don't get one of the HORRIBLE servers. I think her name was Asia, by far the worst service I have ever had in a bar or restaurant. Everything else is fine, except that they don't do a very good job at rotating taps. You can only have so many ciders on tap at a time and I'm pretty sure they have doubled that. I'm a man, I don't want juice, I want beer.
