Whitehorse Bar & Grill

I have been going to the White Horse Bar & Grill in Tukwila, WA for about 10 years, on and off. I live too far to frequent it a whole lot nowadays, but I used to go every weekend when I lived in Renton. This is definitely a "dive bar", I won't lie to you. But in the GOOD way.  I am fond, can you tell? Someone yelped that WH only has one pool table but I have always known of them to have 2 pool tables, so.. Also they have pinball, darts, karaoke both weekend nights - although Friday's host rules and Saturday's host drools. Too bad Sat. is the busier night there... Oh well, more stage time for me, I suppose. Anyway, insanely strong drinks, so more bang for your buck, very nice people (down home folks and various characters just drifting by on their way to the gambling establishments, sometimes even jocks after games, or people who work nearby dropping in after work, so it's a hodge podge of "types", which I think keeps things interesting). It does get "dead" from time to time, so in that sense, at least the service is fast. You wouldn't want to show up alone, I don't imagine, to a dead bar - not exactly a meat market scenario - go with some good friends and be the belle of the ball, rule the roost, however you look at it - oh, and it's nice and DARK the way I feel a bar (especially a dive bar) should be. And the person who says it smells like a moldy basement is full of it. When smoking got banned years ago, that took care of that problem, thankyou very much. That's about it.

Not a ton of people flock to this place. It looks like it has grown some regulars. Karaoke was fun but it's mostly the regulars that go up. Drinks are strong and cheap! Small Mom & Pop feel with the owner working the joint, felt dive but def. not ghetto.

There are moments... During the summer when its hot and sticky outside... That if you hanging out at the Whitehorse around five or six in the afternoon... Where it really feels like you could be kickin it at a bar in Tennessee... This place is tragic and little bit slimy... And everytime that I go there I wind up getting tossed and doing something stupid... Like the dent I put into my friends hood while I had my tongue down their throat... Or the time that I was passed out in the back of the car by 1130p... Thank God for designated drivers man!

The drinks are strong and they keep them coming fast and hard like its your momma on a Saturday night and the rent is due on Monday... High Standards of Personal and Oral Hygiene are 100% Optional amongst the clientele...
