Stopped in to grab a quick to-go bite to eat and it was a slow Monday afternoon, 4 other customers in the place when I walked in. This was my first visit after reading the online menu thinking some of it looked pretty tasty, so I decided to stop by and give it a try.
The server was friendly enough, gave her my order and she took it back to the kitchen. Meantime I was noticing one of the guys fiddling around with the bar computer... I waited a long time just watching him mess around with it... then a technician came in to fix the system, apparently. Several minutes later (about 15-20 mins total wait time) my order comes out. Â She asked me if I could pay with cash because their system was down. I didn't have enough cash on me and she said they have an ATM. I was a bit put off by this but I was really hungry so I tried to use the ATM. Â System was down there, too... sighhh. Â Not to mention there was a $2.50 fee for the privilege. I went back to the bar and told her that system was down as well... and I asked her if she knew their system was down, why didn't she mention that when I placed the order? Â She made some excuses then another man who looked like he might be a manager said they're working on it and can I wait around? Â
I did some quick math in my head... cold food, not sure when the system would be up and running again...better things to do with my day... doesn't add up to a good meal for me. The manager did not offer me a reason to make it worth my while so I walked out. Had the reasonable offer been made, they would not have earned themselves one star. I would have offered two even though I didn't get my food, just for g.p.
I got the overall impression that it was not very well run like most restaurants, kind of rinky-dink. I was sad that I didn't get to try the food, however! Â I might try again some time. We'll see if they rate above one star.
Made a bee-line to Burger Town and that made me very happy. Â The End.
