Oak Street Beach Cafe

I wish Yelp would let me cuss but to be a little nice I'll just call the old lady taking food orders a terrible mean cold grouch. We ordered food and she was polite enough and told us she liked our choices and said that the fried fish sandwich takes 15 minutes and asked if we had time to wait. We did so that was what we ordered.

I left a $6 tip on a $30 airport pick up food at a window place and went to sit down in their seating area. After 5 minutes I checked my watch and was going to check on the food in another 5 or so minutes. About that time the old nasty grouch lady steps out of her little food cave and screams "FISH SANDWICH! WHO HAS A FISH SANDWICH!?" As she keeps yelling multiple times clearly mad I'm walking up to get the food. She says "I only had to say it 20 times."

What a grouchy mean stupid grouch.

Don't grouch to me because your owner is too cheap to establish a better notification method than you just screaming while people sit in the seating area with TV's on. You're welcome for your 20%+ tip to punch in a food order and grouch at me. Never coming back.

Luckily the fish sandwich was pretty good. Oak Street Beach Bar, grouches be runnin' wild.

I love Midway airport as there are so many places to grab some grub or an adult libation or two or three.  This place is not one of them.  It's not that they are bad.  It's just that they are just another airport bar similar to a thousand others across the country.  

Walk to the end of the concourse near security.  There are better choices and you won't need to brave security again.  Try the Irish Pub located there.
