Solid dive bar that's walking (staggering?) distance from my place. Â Definitely a lot of regulars here, especially in the happy hour bracket. Â Beer pong, pool, darts...lots of games to play which is pretty sweet. Â Service is always really friendly and they have a lot of creative shots and drink specials.
Review Source:A co-worker recommended this place to me.. I enjoy the neighboring Fish place and Hummus Factory, so I thought I would give it a shot. I came with a friend.. the drinks were fairly priced and the bartender was very friendly.
My major qualm with this place is that it definitely is a "locals" bar. As soon as we got out of the car, my friend and I were stared at, and continued to be watched as we spent time inside. Everyone there knew each other, and it was pretty uncomfortable and hard to ignore. Like the peeps were waiting for us to start trouble. Which btw, my friend and I are absolutely non-threatening looking, lol.
This will be brief. Â
My friend was in town from New York and wanted to hit a dive bar so we went to this place. Â Walking in it seemed perfect. Â Juke Box? Â Check. Â TVs? Â Check. Â Pool Tables? Â Check.
There were 4 of us so I ordered a pitcher of what was on tap - Hangar, I believe. Â When the bartender was pouring it, it came out 1/4 head so she said she would charge me for 3 beers only. Â Sounds like a fair deal. Â We drank our beers, I went to close out and the total was $20.00. Â Yes, $20.00. Â $20.00 for 3 beers? Â 3 pints. Â Tip on top, that's $23.00 for 3 beers.
Pretty pricey dive bar. Â It was worth a try, but I guess I'll hit up some of those other places in El Segundo - The Standard, The Tavern, Purple Orchid..
