I had free access to this lounge which is located in the Int'l departure terminal (before security area) and since I had 3 hours to kill before my flight, I decided to try it out.

It's a fairly small lounge (compared to airline lounges), but they have pretty much everything one needs to reLAX- Free WiFi, newspapers, TV, lazboy recliners, and complimentary bottle water, sodas/tea/coffee, sandwiches and snacks.

It's definitely a nice place to reLAX and get away from the crowds. I believe they even have an option to pay/hour to use the lounge. Although if I had to pay, I'd rather use one of the airline lounges near the gate.

Only negative is there are no private restrooms and one has to go outside to use the public restrooms which are conveniently located in front of the lounge.

Decent lounge for those whose willing to pay and want to have some quiet time before going into Security area.

They have complimentary bottle waters, juices, sodas, snacks and fruits.

While it does not have window as it once had, but it is still more comfortable than the public areas outside.

Wifi is free here (there's no free wifi in LAX yet)

reLAX is a lounge open to all willing to pay, and with no airline partners, a true independent lounge. I'm only comparing this to other independent lounges found internationally, even though most of those do have some small airline partners.

This place is outside of security! Fair warning has now been given and the review may commence in 3,2,1.....

reLAX has very friendly staff and a decent location in TBIT at LAX OUTSIDE of Security, a godsend to those transiting both domestically and internationally as it allows any and all comers to pay.

I cannot review this based on cost since I get in and get an alcoholic beverage for free as part of my yearly membership in Priority Pass.

I did enjoy a beer during my stay as well as some of the various snacks. The snacks are the same as are catered throughout all of Tom Bradley International lounges including the International Lounge and SkyTeam lounge (operated by Korean Air (International used by Malaysia Airlines, SkyTeam I got in with my Priority Pass), I'm assuming that the OneWorld and Star Alliance lounges are the same.

Those shared catered items were not extremely appetizing, but the upside is they were more substantial, such that one or two of those and you weren't going hungry for the first part of your flight.

The free wi-fi was nice, and something that almost all of the lounges I've visited worldwide have shared (save for Nairobi, Kilimanjaro, Goa, and any AAdmirals club). It was quick enough and after I played around on it I quickly switched to my Verizon LTE card which I use instead of Wi-Fi when domestic for data security reasons.

Aside from the soft product (food, Wi-Fi, service), the hard product is exceptional. The decor and chairs really provide a welcoming atmosphere that lends to being relaxed, something that reLAX clearly wants to help with.
