Cinco es de dos estrellas.
Was looking to try this new Mexican beer bar. Ouch should have stayed with our favs. If you are young, hip and have cash flow, You will Love Cinco, If you are older, losing your eyesight and have to pee this ain't going to work.
First thing I saw on the menu was chips and pico de gallo...$4. Arghhhh. Don't real Mexican places give these cheap eats away. Cocktails in the $9 range, damn you Los Angeles, but wait this is Westchester.
Server, Ashley was very nice. She was the best part about the joint.
Extensive Great  beer list (30) with high prices. $7-9. The list is printed with the names of the beer only, no Brewery  info so if you don't know I guess you can ask. Weird. Not quite sure why you have great beers and Mexican food. They aren't really a good match, so I think this place is more of a bar that serves food than restaurant.
Since I couldn't read the menu, printed mucho poquito we ordered two specials. Tacos Borrachos $10 and Camerones Diablitos (shrimp devil style)$15. The shrimp tacos were beer battered, generously packed and the food highlight of the night. The spicy shrimp platter came with barely warm beans, good spice, mediocre shrimp, white rice and NO Tortillas. Fuuuuh. Did I mention the tiny bowl of chips and salsa we ordered. Weak. There wasn't even salt on the table. Make that sticky table.
I had to wash my hands and there was a line for the men's room. Big place with a single can. Man.
Even my son had a complaint, he said the coke was watery. Strike nine, retire the side.
Full Disclosure. My son's team got their arses whooped at the hockey game so I'm not sure anything was going to make me happy tonight, but Cinco left the door wide open to be "objective"
I really really really wanted to give this place 5 stars but unfortunately as some yelpers have mentioned the food isn't very good. I agree why are they charging for chips & salsa? I ordered chips, guacamole, & chicken enchilada with red rice. I was expecting beans and rice that's what I ordered but I only got the rice. I didnt even get any salsa!! I'm use to my Mexican food being fresh like at pacos taco even El Taritos is better. Guacamole & salsa verde was too salty also the enchilada was like they took the tortilla shredded chicken threw in the to go container & dumped the salsa verde over it definitely was authentic. The rice was bland, cold & dry. Actually everything waa cold. i only live 2 mins away if that my food should have been al least luke warm. The place had a mix crowd. I should have known the food wouldn't be good since everyone was drinking vs eating. Maybe this place is good for happy hour in not sure. I'll come back to try the drinks maybe one day but I'll stick to Paco's Taco for my Mexican food!!
