Dined here for lunch with three others. Â Restaurant was fairly empty when we arrived, but it seemed to do a brisk business while we were there. Â After being seated, the hostess asked if we were on a time schedule, which was a nice touch for those folks needing to catch a flight.
Our party ordered:
2 Roast Turkey French Dip Sandwich w/Fries
Grilled Free-Range Chicken Breast Sandwich w/Fries
Tropical Chicken Salad
Everyone enjoyed their orders, although the bun on my Chicken Sandwich was a little stale. Â Not REALLY stale, but I could tell it wasn't fresh. Â The chicken breast was fairly large and the peanut slaw was pretty tasty, albeit quite messy. Â The (Parmesan chees garlic) fries were very tasty, though.
I've been here a few times before both for lunch and dinner and the food is decent, but the prices are high for what you get. Â I probably wouldn't come here on my own, only if friends wanted to dine here, and even then, not on all those occasions. Â Parking can be a pain, but the views are interesting if you're into watching planes take off and land while you're eating.
I made Valentines Day reservations here in 2013.
I waited almost two hours for me entree. We seriously considered leaving and eating at Chipotle.
The food was a little on the small size for portions and the flavor was all just a little off.
The wait staff was a bit overly curt as well.
The ambiance though, out-of-this-world (forgive the pun). The charm of The Encounter cannot overcome the rest of my experience I will not be going back.
