The first time I went to the J-Spot was in 2009. Â I really enjoyed myself, so much so that I sent them the following e-mail.
"I must be honest, Â I'm boycotting 3 local establishments and was hoping this wouldn't be the 4th. Â Finally a place I can go and be treated genuinely nice. Â The staff is very pleasant (from security, to the wait staff and management). Â The food is delicious. Â I love the fact that there is a "two item" minimum. Â I came to work today telling my co-workers they have to check it out. Â My experience was excellent and I will definitely be back. Â Keep up the positive energy at the club. Â Love it, love it, love it!!!!!!!!!"
Fast forward to July 11, 2013. Â I hadn't been back because I live in the IE now. Â I decided to come out and meet some family at the club. Â The night started off wrong, because I did a search before going and saw that they serve $5 martinis all night. Â When I inquired about that we were told it's only for happy hour. Â While the service was good, the food was not. Â We ordered the crab cakes and the Ultimate Po'Boy. Â The Po'Boy was not good at all. Â By sight you couldn't tell the oysters from the "bay" shrimp. Â I say bay shrimp because they were tiny. Â They charge $5 for ice tea and it comes in a tall-xtra skinny glass. Â We were also a little annoyed that they included the $15% gratuity. Â All in all if had it not been for the last comedian this outing would have been a bust!! Â I'm sad that this visit wasn't as up to par as my initial visit!!
