Palmeira Brasil

I have been to Palmeira Brasil three times now. I really enjoy the ambiance - great for a relaxed outing with a few friends - and the staff is very friendly. I have gotten a few different things on the menu and the quality is great and the portions are a good size.  Their traditional brazilian dishes are the best - great flavors. A good drinks list and a fun bar.
Also, the owner is very receptive to feedback since the place opened recently and he enjoys talking to customers. I suggested a minor change to a dish and he changed it by the next time I was there. A friend of mine also organized an event there that I attended and the private room adjoining the bar is a great space for any type of event.   I would recommend trying this place out.

I have had better brazil food in Bridgeport

The food is authentic, but made very, very poorly. The prices are ridiculous (and I am not cheap -- read my other reviews). I wish there was a really good Brazilian restaurant in New Haven. This place is a major FAIL.
