Pam's Diner

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our way back to Chicago after attending a wedding in Ohio.  It was exactly what we were looking for: a diner with a little local flavor (rather than just the standard IHOP or Waffle House along the interstate).  We both had one of the specials, which was 2 eggs/2 pancakes/sausage or bacon for only $4.99.  With coffee, our entire bill was $13.  

Pam's is a cute little building that's sort of shaped like a barn.  They serve breakfast all day in addition to sandwiches and various dinners.  There's an extensive menu of pies (we were too full to try them, but they looked amazing) and hand-dipped ice cream.   Our waitress was very friendly, and when we left we got to sign a guestbook and put a thumbtack on a map of the US to represent Chicago.  

I highly recommend stopping here if you have a chance!
