McDonald's

It's a bit strange returning to a place where I worked years and years ago.  The building was apparently re-built and looks nothing like the building where I worked.

They've tried to dress it up and it looks a bit upscale; however, it's still McDonald's.  The little tree stump stools were interesting.  Their free WiFi wasn't working.

I ordered a Filet-o-Fish meal and it arrived in a minimum of time, but the fries looked as though they'd been waiting since the afternoon.  When I opened the box for the Filet-o-Fish, the cheese was hanging over the edge of the box.  It wasn't so busy that they didn't have time to care.  I've been in the store previously when it was busy and they did a better job.  At least, the sandwich had a good flavour and the bun was steamed properly without crispy edges.

The staff didn't seem overly friendly, as though it was a hardship to be there.  They weren't nasty, but being friendly is part of the job.

McDonald's gets by with their consistency but they really weren't doing their best at this store this time.
