It's a bit strange returning to a place where I worked years and years ago. Â The building was apparently re-built and looks nothing like the building where I worked.
They've tried to dress it up and it looks a bit upscale; however, it's still McDonald's. Â The little tree stump stools were interesting. Â Their free WiFi wasn't working.
I ordered a Filet-o-Fish meal and it arrived in a minimum of time, but the fries looked as though they'd been waiting since the afternoon. Â When I opened the box for the Filet-o-Fish, the cheese was hanging over the edge of the box. Â It wasn't so busy that they didn't have time to care. Â I've been in the store previously when it was busy and they did a better job. Â At least, the sandwich had a good flavour and the bun was steamed properly without crispy edges.
The staff didn't seem overly friendly, as though it was a hardship to be there. Â They weren't nasty, but being friendly is part of the job.
McDonald's gets by with their consistency but they really weren't doing their best at this store this time.
