I have always loved this restaurant!  This time wasn't as good as the last but still, I loved it. The chicken quesadillas are always my first loved, but the salsa was on point as always.

Margaritas as amazing and big AND awesomely priced! The food came out quick and hot! I ordered chicken fajitas and it came out hot, fresh and   sizzling!

Food was excellent, service was above par, the manager checked in and we all left full and content. We will go back.

The salsa tasted like it was from a jar, with a few, and I mean 3, tiny pieces of fresh cilantro thrown in for color. I ordered one of their numbered meals, you know you get one of this one of that and one of the other. But the waitress kept asked me if I wanted chicken or beef. I pointed to the menu listing and said I want this: One chicken empanada, one beef empanada, one chile relleno. I did finally get what I ordered but the empanadas were mostly that generic tasteless cheese and unedible. So, no, not worth it in my opinion.

The carnitas were great, but the fajitas could have been better. Service was prompt and very attentive. For having a big bar selection, they really could have used at least one microbrew on tap.

I really like Pancho Villa.  I like their salsa so much I seriously wish they would bottle it and sell it, but I honestly feel it's kind of pricey for a Mexican joint. I am accustomed to being charged extra for sour cream when I order tacos at a Mexican restaurant, but the tacos don't come with lettuce or cheese.  Now I consider lettuce and cheese to be standard taco toppings, but if you want them at Pancho Villa you are charged extra for both which I think is a little ridiculous. Especially since you're already paying about $10 for 3 tacos.  I really enjoy the food, but it's rare that I leave that place without feeling like I have been slightly ripped off.

Would've given this place 5 stars had our server been a little more attentive.  The food was excellent.  Had beef chimichangas and flan.  Both were very good, but again, our server was MIA and when he did appear he was a little rude.   Our entrees were served 3 minutes after we had gotten our chips.  We had eaten almost our entire entree before he came to check on us.  Had to ask for refills, he never offered.  Willl go back but will get it to-go.

Excellent, fresh and speedy mexican food.  After a long drive back from NC we stopped here for dinner - great outdoor patio seating and they have 32 oz. beers!  The chips were great but the salsa could have been a little spicier.  We started with the sampler (quesadillas, nachos, taquitos, all sorts of goodies) which was a meal itself.  I wasn't complaining because I stuffed my face and continued to stuff my face when my meal (enchiladas monterey) came.  The chicken was perfectly cooked, not dry or over drenched in any sort of sauce.  Perfect!  I couldn't stop saying "I'm so happy" *bite* *chew* "I mean I'm reallllllly happy right now".  Not sure if it was the 32 oz. beer or the delicious food or just being able to stretch my legs and get out of the car, or all of the above.

I would kill for a place like this by me.  But our choices are limited to Chipotles and Guapos.  Gah.  If you're ever in Fredricksberg, be sure to give this place a try.  The only reason it doesn't get 5 stars is because our server must have run by our table, no joke, 10x to ask "if everything was okay"... I got the impression that he was trying to rush us or clear the table.  It wasn't crowded and it wasn't late so that got annoying quick.  Otherwise it was a great dining experience and I would likely return without question.

It's okay. Pretty bland as tex mex goes. So so staff. Beers are big.

My wife's and my experience here today was not so great, which is sad cause we we're hoping to have found a good Mexican restaurant. The staff was just fine, no problem there. Our issue was the food.

My wife's meal had the beef burritos and cheese enchilada combo. The beef was unexpectedly grounded. We are accustomed to the default being shredded beef, and if grounded, they tell you. Anyways, that wasn't the big deal. My wife's main complaint was the cheese. The texture was like glue and the taste reminded me of cheap kraft singles. I think it was real cheese, but just the wrong kind for a burrito. Beside that my wife was disappointed at how bland it was. She would have like more flavor out off the burrito.

Mine was the LA Burrito. Presentation was great and all negatives aside, it was flavorful and for the most part I enjoyed it. My big complaint was the pork used. I don't know if it's the quality of the pork, the way it was cooked, or both, but it hurt my enjoyment of this otherwise great dish. There was quite a bit of what I think was fat in the pork. It was slimy at times. At other times it was way to soft, almost like it was already chewed. The rest of the time, about half of the total time, it was perfect, nice texture and flavor was what you expect. If they would have taken out the bad half of meat and served me that, I would have no complaints.

We did like the chips and my wife liked the salsa, I prefer a little spice. We will probably not be returning but still think it should be tried, perhaps we just had a one time bad experience.

I LOVE PANCHO VILLA!!!  I base my judgement of mexican restaurants solely on their cheese enchiladas, and Pancho Villa by far has the best cheese enchiladas I've ever had!  The queso dip is also very delicious, and the margaritas always hit the spot.

I have friends who have tried the Mexican Lemonade and claim it is absolutely fresh and delicious.  I whole heartedly recommend Pancho Villa to anyone looking for great mexican food in Fredericksburg!

    Viva Cinco De Mayo.

My girlfriend and I went here tonight to celebrate Cinco De Mayo.
With the rain pouring outside, we were hopeful that the restaurant will be less crowded. But, like every May 5th, the restaurant was already packed when we got there at 7:00 pm. Fortunately, after 20 minutes of wait, we got a table.
The ambiance was fantastic and of course Mexican music was playing.
I ordered to start, a 16 ounce lime flavor margarita on the rock, because my girlfriend wouldn't stop harassing me about trying new things. Here it goes, my first margarita ever. My girlfriend had the same drink, but had her frozen instead. I was very surprised to notice that the drink was not bad at all.
The appetizer was their homemade tacos and salsa. i really liked it.
As entree, I had the Pancho Villa Sampler: a dish made of chicken quesadilla, beef nachos, chicken flautas, served with salsa, lettuce, sour cream, guacamole, jalapeno and cheese chip. It was delicious.
My friend had the chicken enchilada. She told me she enjoyed it as well.
My bill came out to $21.32 with tip included.
Yet, another successful night out with my best friend.

    Totally recommend this restaurant.
