The pizza is ok and I like their chowder. Â Service has been fine whenever we go there. Â It's one of the better places to go on the island for pizza. Â This location is quite a bit smaller than the one on Beach Haven but it hasn't been crowded when we go. Â Nothing to write home about though and not something I would go out of my way for. Â To be honest it's a little overpriced, but I find that to be true of most restaurants on the island.
Review Source:The pizza is okay. It's not bad, not great, just kind of good (a little doughy, as another reviewer said).
I've been going here for decades, but two nights ago I made my last visit there. I picked up an order, and upon arriving home discovered they forgot two items. I called them to let them know I had to come back to retrieve food items that they forgot. The young worker just said, "Oh, okay. I see it. It's right here." No apology. No offer to rectify the situation--just "Oh, okay."
When I arrived to get the forgotten items, they just handed them to me without any apologies. Then, when I got home, an opening of the "forgotten" bag revealed that one of the things they gave me was the wrong item (even though the receipt stated the correct item)!
I expect better customer service from a restaurant in a community such as northern Long Beach Island. If Panzone's cannot provide that service, then I will find it elsewhere.
Damn good pizza. These are the thin and huge slices that are almost "New York" style - but better than what most people call New York pizza because it's not the kind that gives you spicy heartburn while somehow not having any spicy flavor.
They do sell by the slice, but at $3.50 a slice you might as well just get a whole pizza.
I've been going to Panzone's for years in LBI and really, I have no complaints.
Typically, if there is no food I am in the mood for, I tend to stop here and grab a slice. Â I think Panzone's is one of the closest to NYC style pizza, and they do not fall short at all.
Basic stuff, but why do y'all give me the receipt for pizza?
