We came with our two young daughters for a casual meal. Â We were so delighted with the friendly server. Â She made our girls smile (even though they were tired!) Â We started out with the onion rings....best we've ever had! Â Perfection!!! Â The steak was delicious....tender and very flavorful. Â Overall, this place was perfect for our well traveled family. Â Great food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere.
Review Source:Don't come here for dinner. It's nothing special.
We only came here because we had just flown into Maui that evening and were looking for a place in Lahaina that was open at 9pm for dinner. We ordered the Paradise Parmesan Bites, Grilled Mahi Mahi, and the Paradise Dog. The Parmesan Bites taste like cheese pizza when dipped into the pizza sauce. So bad to eat late at night but they tasted okay. The Grilled Mahi Mahi might as well have been blackened because it was quite dark and dry. The mashed potatoes tasted like it came from a package or like the mashed potatoes in the Banquet TV dinners. The Paradise Dog was okay. It has bacon which is different and cool. But other than that, this place is not really meant to be a dinner place. We made the mistake of choosing the first place we could find.
Came here for dinner tonight...Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich with fries. The food here is delicious. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating. Wish we had yelped this place earlier in our stay. Live music was great,I really enjoyed the singer.Prices are great too! Check it out
Review Source:Let me just start by saying that I have been here twice. The first time was in the afternoon during the week to watch a hockey game. We had beers and appetizers and the service and food were good. We decided to come back a few days later for breakfast, on a Saturday, to have some bloodies, eat and watch some hockey. They let us in ~2 minutes early and were very pleasant. They let us choose our seats and turned on the game for us as we were the first people there for the day. After that it turned bad. More people started showing up and overwhelmed the staff. We received our drinks promptly but were offered no refills and even though we were the 1st people there other customers got their food before we did. It took over 40 minutes to get our French toast and breakfast burrito, which were served on very hot plates but the food was cold. The syrup container was caked with dried syrup and had not been washed, there were no condiments for the burrito, eggs and Hashbrowns were cold and it seemed as if the Hawaiian bread for the French toast was a week old, it was so hard. Still, no one checked on us. After 20 more minutes we asked for our check so we could go. We left a good portion of food on our plates. We had planned on getting Bloody Maries at the bar, but there was no bartender either. So we left with disgust. The table behind us appeared to have done the same thing. The only saving grace of this visit was the half price breakfast for those who dined between 7-8 am.
I am not sure if a few employees did not show up for work or if they were just scheduled short. However, it was more than just being short handed on the front end, the kitchen was bad too. I try to be understanding since I spent a good portion of high school and college working in restaurants, but this was unacceptable.
the view was nice (you can see the 1st and 18th hole) but the food was okay. I did the mistake of getting a chicken salad... I know, chicken in Hawaii is probably not the best choice. Which it wasn't. They used very processed sliced chicken which was SUPER salty!!! The greens were not that fresh, and a bit wilted. BUT the fish tacos were very good. The service was also very good. Our waiter always filled out water cups and came by to check on us. I didn't have the heart to tell him my salad was bad, but he should of seen it since I barely ate any of it
Review Source:Our first night in Maui, we were just driving around looking for a place for dinner. We came across this place after trying to get into Roy's. we are laid back people so we thought this place can't be that bad. Service was good, waitress was nice. We both ordered steak, with a side of mashed potatoes on the side. The steaks were not good, tastes like steak that was in the freezer and defrosted. the mash potatoes were good, and the onion rings are really good. We wouldn't come back here. The food was not impressive for the price.
Review Source:We ate here twice. Â Upstairs is a bar with table service, downstairs is a bar with pool table etc. Â Both times were good for a bar foody type of meal. Â Half order of the nachos were substantial for two people. Â Pizza was ok, nothing special but good. Â Chowder was just ok. Â Burgers were very good, get it with the Maui onion rings. Â Service on the first night was great. Â Second time was not so good. Â Had to shout for the waitress to get a beer refill. Â Only a couple bucks for a bud light tho! Â Both nights had live entertainment, single guitar player both nights. Â Grab a $6 off coupon from one of the maps.
Review Source:We come to Maui every other year or so and stay in Ka' anapali at the Marriott.
This was our usual place for Italian food, at the Italian restaurant at this address.
we noticed the name change, and decided to check it out. We were seated right away, and were served by Kirby. Â He did a great job of taking care of us, they did have spagetti, so my wife was a happy girl. Â They also have $2.00 Bud light, so I was a happy boy...B-). Â We have a new place to go to for Italian, and Pizza when we come here. Â If you are in Ka' anapali, Â stop by and give it a try.
Had a late lunch here after a long morning of snorkeling. Being unfamiliar with the island, my b/f and I stopped at the first restaurant we saw.
Our server was very kind, however that didn't make up for the food. I ordered fish tacos which took nearly 30 minutes to come out. Â The server was kind enough to give me my cole slaw first while my b/f had his whole meal. Â My tacos were made with just one tortilla each (normally they're made with 2) and they completely fell apart after two bites. They tasted bland which made me upset because i started longing for my usual fish tacos back on the mainland. How sad, it should be the other way around. The tacos also came with chips which were over fried, and salsa which came from a can. Â
I'd say to not order the fish tacos, or to not come here in the late afternoon. The server gets the stars, the food gets nothing.
Great staff (thanks Dave!) and awesome select local beer on tap. Â I was a very happy girl to watch part of the Sunday NFL games here and enjoyed a fresh ahi tuna appetizer and garden salad. Â Both were very good. Â
I will say that the service was my favorite part. Â Very accommodating, easy going and friendly!
My counter-part enjoyed a chicken sandwich and fries which were delicious (I stole a few) and they have a drink on their menu called the Beach Bum Mai Tai. Â I assume you cannot go wrong with a name like that!
I am sure most restaurants are a bit of a tourist trap and this location is very near MANY of the hotels in Ka'anapali, so it draws in a good crowd, I'm sure. Â They offer nightly entertainment and it's walkable from all the hotels on Ka'anapali Beach, which I find to be a big plus. Â I'm sure we would have visited more had we been staying in the area. Â
Overall, an enjoyable not TOO PRICEY option.
Very slow food delivery. Two people working the whole restaurant and bar. They were nice but the place was understaffed to the point of annoyance. $2 beers are OK but if you can't get one what does it matter. The food was overpriced but they did send out large quantities. I prefer quality over quantity. If you are on vacation stay away. The food could be found at any bar on the mainland and I was disappointed overall.
Review Source:This is no paradise!
We visited them for breakfast and although they have very personable and pleasant people working there the food was horrendous and expensive.
They told me the juice was fresh and it tasted like Minute Maid.
The food tasted like bad diner food. Pancakes tasted like a simple batter and fruit wasn't tasty and ripe.
The restaurant has a nice view of the golf course and it has pretty neat seating available. I would go there only for a beer or drinks at night but not for a morning family breakfast.
I was absolutely starving when I came in here since I had just landed and didn't eat anything in hours. So I wouldn't be a good judge of food since anything would have tasted great to me at that time.
This place seems very touristy, so nothing really authentic, but they have decent American bar food. And it's one of the few non-hotel restaurants near kaanapali beach. If you're looking for a good dining experience, I say skip this place and go straight to the beachside restaurants.
Stumbled upon this great spot b/c all was closed on the island at 10pm for food except this place (walked from Sheraton Maui)....
Was pleasantly surprised by AMAZING burger & fries, my wife also loved their fish tacos. Â Live music, good chill local crowd. Â Wish we ate here more on our stay....
FOODIES - STAY AWAY!. Â Only reason to come here is to watch football on TV. If you want good food and timely service of food, stay away.
The star is for the rockstar waitress only. She was great, but seriously the kitchen is SUPER slow, and they didn't have the items I ordered off the menu in stock. The food we got was horrible. Wasted money and time here.
I've been here a few times after playing golf at Kaanapali. The staff is always very friendly and attentive. The food has been super each time. The Ahi Caesar wrap is unbelievable. The grilled ono is also very tasty as is the Reuben. There always seems to be beer specials which is icing on the cake. I live on the south side of Maui and I would make the 40 minute commute just for the Ahi Caesar wrap. It's that good!
If I have to have a negative it would be the draft beer selection. Lots of domestics if that's your thing but not much of a premium selection outside of the usual Hawaii suspects and Sierra Nevada. Maybe adding a keg of New Castle, Dead Guy, or something along those lines would hit the sweet spot. No biggie but I can't be all sunshine and rainbows.
All and all this is a can't miss for a great meal in a casual setting. Awesome!
My husband & I discovered Paradise Grill staying at the Westin and decided to come give it a try after seeing they also offered a 50% off discount for military folks.
We came for breakfast initially and we were the only folks in the place. Coming from Seattle though, we understood we may have been up 'early' compared to most folks on island time.
The prices were affordable even without the discount and they had a pineapple iced tea which was good.
One small strange thing to note though - I have always enjoyed the rice/eggs/spam when in Hawaii and they did not offer it as a 'combo' but as a separate side. Spam was $4.95. Holy cow that is a ton!
So I ordered my breakfast as all sides and it was cheaper than making the 'combo' plus the side of spam.
We never came for Happy Hour or for later meals but they did see packed in the evenings when we drove by.
Showed up at around 5:30 on a Wednesday night, and we were greeted by a hostess and one other: they were very friendly! Â We chose to sit outside, and the hostess gave us the best seats on the deck overlooking the golf course, which gave us a good view of the sunset.
Toni was our server and took our drink order right away and recommended her favorite appetizers. Â She gave us ample time to decide on what to order and our bar drinks were pretty good (Mai Tai and a Pineapple Pina Colada with some Baileys).
My wife got a build-it-yourself Veggie burger, which she devoured, it was good stuff, very fresh. Â I went for a Blackened Ahi Caesar Wrap. Â The wrap was big, however, the caesar dressing was very overpowering for my taste. Â I would get it again, but I would probably order it with light dressing, or even on the side and dip at my leisure.
Live music started at around 6:30, it was a girl doing covers, she had a great voice and it was pleasant.
At the end, Toni found out we were on our honeymoon and gave us some free dessert! Â This place is friendly, relaxed and has a pretty good menu, it is worth stopping by.
Such a hidden treasure! Â My husband and I found this gem in a search on Yelp! during out trip to Maui and we were more than impressed.
Very casual restaurant with a spacious dining room. Â I enjoyed a Longboard Lager on tap (I was a little disappointed they discontinued the Kona Fire Rock) and we ordered the the Sizzling Steak bites as an appetizer...so flavorful and drowned in fresh grilled onions and mushrooms.
We had read the ribs were a popular choice so we shared a full rack with sides of mashed potatoes and grilled vegetables. Â The ribs were glazed in some sort of BBQ-guava sauce that was delightful! Â
Prices were more than reasonable and we'd recommend any visitors to the Lahaina/Kaanapali area to give this place a shot! Â Yum, yum!
This place is super casual, great atmosphere, and great food. And they serve Round Table Pizza inside to boot.
The staff are very friendly and helpful, making it even more comfortable.
My girlfriend had the garden salad and the sizzling steak appetizer, both of which were really good portions, the salad being huge!
I had the round table pizza, and it was just like you'd expect from round table. Â Apparently they just started serving breakfast and I'm looking forward to trying that before I leave the island. Â Definitely recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Â Prices are pretty close to mainland as well, so you can't go wrong!
They also have a full bar, but I didn't get anything alcoholic this time around. The girlfriend had their paradise iced tea, and really liked it.
We went to this spot after reading the reviews here, seeking something other than tourist seafood and a plain meal.
The staff were great, really friendly and very efficient, a 5 star rating for them.
Maybe we have high expectations coming from Oz, but the burger was a bit average. The ribs were good - really tender and melt in the mouth but for my taste a little on the sweet side. Wings were a-ok but the volcanic sauce was not as hot as I was expecting. Still good regulation food.
The band was belting out country rock hits and the folks inside looked mainly like locals, including a table of peroxide blondes that looked like three generations on the make - cruel I know but sadly true!
Great location overlooking the 18th hole but don't think we will be back.
Paradise Grill is a refreshing break from the monotony of beachside seafood joints in the Ka'anapali area. Â A remodeled clubhouse nestled off of the 18th green, this restaurant features classic American favorites not found in many of Maui's restaurants. Â This place is a golfers favorite, and you'll find many players nursing a drink in the bar following their round.
I personally had a killer rack of ribs that literally melted off of the bone- not something I expected to find after five nights of island-infused dishes at other restaurants. Â My wife had the pork chop, which was grilled to a moist and juicy perfection. Â
The drinks aren't without mention either, as Paradise has a vast array of beers on tap (love me some Fire Rock Pale Ale), and a full bar (the wife loved the vodka-tonics). Â
If you happen to run in to the owner, Dave, chat him up a bit, as he is a great guy and can point you in the direction of other great local, non touristy businesses.
Paradise Grill is great! Â We go to Maui often and this is our new favorite spot. Â Good food, fun atmosphere and great service.
We had a wedge salad, one of the pasta dishes, the ribs and the onion rings, all terrific.
Full bar with great cocktails as well. Â They have a really great menu with tons of choices so everyone in your group will be happy hear. Â Everything from pizza to nice steaks, burgers and salads. Â
They also have a bar/club downstairs that is open late for dancing, music and drinks. Â
This place is a blast! Â
Prices are great as well, make this a for sure stop on your visit.
