We like a lot this place. It is small but they receive my husband, my daughter, my son with double stroller and I like if we were the only customers. I have to say that the portions are huge for us but so tasty while I am writing this I want to go and order the Spanish Omelet again. My husband that has Mexican roots order the chilaquiles and despite are not completely Mexican (He says it was kind of Tex-Mex) Â they were good according to him.
The food is really good but the service should received 10 stars, so kind with us, with the children and the free soup and  the free second glass of beverages was amazing. Some expensive restaurants in Chicago have to be like this friendly and welcoming with the customers.
I love the chilaquiles con huevo y carne, and their American breakfasts aren't bad either.
This is the perfect neighborhood joint - it's sunny and full of plants and nice people, the service is friendly and efficient, it's inexpensive and tasty. They marinate their carne asada in something delicious and chop it into substantial, meaty chunks - it's great on the chilaquiles which are also covered in a layer of fresh chopped lettuce, tomato, onion, and grated queso fresco.
It's not a destination for those who live far away - you wouldn't drive or take the train for an hour to come here - but if you live close by or are coming out of the Museum of Mexican Art or the park you will eat well and leave with a happy feeling in your soul.
