What the...? This is not the best perch, maybe it was in the past, but I don't get it.

Split the large order Perch Dinner with my BF - looking at some other reviews I think they shrunk the portions and raised the price. We received SIX SMALL (two bite size portions) perch with fries for $17.99!!!!! Really?? A freakin fried fish? Is Perch the new Lobster? Honestly maybe I'm not aware this fish is so expensive. The batter had no flavor and was soggy on the bottom. Tartar sauce was good but the cocktail sauce tasted like it was frozen then thawed. Being so small we ate the perch in about 2 minutes.

Good craft beer selection, had the Dripa (Kuhnhenn) - honestly tasted watered down v. from Kuhnhenn and no joke, I think they gave it in an 8oz glass, if not it was absolutely no more than 10oz, and charged $7.00!

I frequent this place for a drink on the patio sometimes and for that I give it some stars, at least it's some place to hang out.

Finally had a night out with hubby and we ended up here. They had the Red Wings game on which was great, it's more of a bar than restaurant but was hoping for some good food.
I ordered the nachos off the appetizer menu as my dinner with steak. Very good, real cheese on the nachos not out of a can and real pieces of steak, yum. Hubby ordered perch sandwich and onion rings. Both wonderful, perch was smaller than expected but delicious. The homemade tarter sauce was also great. Large thick cut onion rings.
We did not get the best waitress, when we walked in everyone was very attentive however the woman waiting on us strange to say the least. I asked how the pulled pork sandwich was and she went on to tell us how she doesn't eat pork and it makes her sick. She needs to work on her people skills a bit.
I would try it again for sure and hope not to sit in her section.

This review mainly pertains to the bar, which I've visited on many occasions. First off, the beer. Great selection of brews, lots of craft beer and Michigan beer, and they switch up their draft selections quite frequently. The one thing I dislike about this Pat O'Brien's is that there is not enough room in the bar area. You will be lucky to ever get a seat at the bar, they have an outside area that is alright but the inside is way to small and always crammed which can make it rather difficult to get a drink. On Tuesdays they have industry night which is always a good night to go up there as long as you can stand the incredibly annoying fist pumping DJ.
