Pretty nice spot and it is the ideal location to wait for your table at Ayada Thai or Spicy Shallot on a busy night. Â Decor is funky and there's plenty of plush seats and couches to sink into while you drink your Chang or Singha. Â
This is an area that is in desperate need of a bar. Â Pata Paplean is filling a huge void. Â Check it out.
I discovered this place after a reliably delicious meal at Ayada, which is across the street. There really aren't any other bars like this in Elmhurst or Woodside -- it is sophisticated, beautifully decorated and gives off a chill lounge vibe. The staff (especially bartender/owner Pap) are kind and eager to please. The drinks are delicious (try the cilantro mojito!) and the Thai-inspired bar food menu looked tasty. I'll definitely be back.
Review Source:Ultimate date place. It's cozy, interesting, and off the beaten path. If you take someone here, you will definitely be seen as awesome.
The food is small bites, with stuff I wasn't familiar with from restaurants. We had pata balls and 12 month chicken (or something like that). The food was very interesting, and in a very appetizer portion - which was totally cool because this is a chill bar and not a restaurant. Also I had a mango sticky rice cocktail, which I dug. This is a good place to be drinking hard without realizing it til you stand up.
At 9pm on a Tuesday, we were the only ones here. I have a feeling it gets packed at around midnight.
---- Of note is this street intersection. Ayada and Wasabi Point across the street. Spicy Shallot 2 doors adjacent and a casual Thai bubble tea spot next door. This area is really active at night, and it's only going to grow more. Woodside Avenue, yes.
