I recently had a 5 year anniversary dinner at Pat's Steakhouse. We were sat in the bar area probably because it was just the two of us. Personally, I cannot stand sitting in the bar area of restaurants. I find the TV to be distracting and for the area to get pretty loud. Thankfully, this wasn't the case at Pat's.
I ordered the Seafood Platter and my boyfriend ordered the New York Strip. We both really enjoyed our meals. His steak was perfectly cooked and my seafood was delicious. Â You do get quite a bit of food with your meal. Our server kept our glasses full and was very attentive. Â Pat himself stopped by our table to congratulate us on our anniversary!
Our server asked if we were there for a special occasion and since we were, he served us a complimentary desert, a fudge brownie sundae. It was delicious. I was entirely stuffed from my meal but I could not stop eating! Next visit I will certainly be ordering one of these!
Overall, Pat's was an excellent choice for our special occasion. I really enjoy restaurants who have a great ambiance without becoming to pretentious. Pat's has the perfect balance. I will return.
Wow,. It's been way too long since I have done this so I figured I would pick a great place to write about.
My wife and I went to Pat's during the KY NCAA showdown weekend. Pat's is a wonderful establishment for Louisville. Lots of old charm and class at this place. The kind of restaurants cities and neighborhoods are proud to have around. We of course were celebrating an anniversary so why would you go anywhere else in the ville? Pat's is known for their steak. So that's what we ordered. We both decided on the T-bone steak. The steak was amazing as always. You get 2 sides. I would suggest the crushed cauliflower and green beans. And they make their green beans the right way. All mushy and with onions. None of that healthy crispy snap crap. You also get a house salad and a basket of rolls. Don't miss out on at least a bit of the rolls. It's like eating a mix between corn bread and the softest buttery biscuit you have ever had. We washed all that down with a reasonably priced to my surprise, bottle of champagne.
Now that our bellies were about to burst. The owner brought us their ice cream sundae on the house! It was worth it! Always room for dessert. While you there, be sure to take in the scenery and enjoy your experience. The servers are wonderful here. Polite and attentive. But they stay away enough for you to enjoy just each other. Make sure you bring cash! They don't take plastic here. I am truly in love with this restaurant. If I were to have a last meal I think I would want it to be here.
