Spinelli's Pizzeria

I have always liked Spinellis pizza.  The service however is another story.  My husband and I usually split a half pepperoni and half sausage pizza which is more than we can eat but it reheats pretty well so we're happy to have it for lunch the next day.  Sure the pizza is greasy, it's pizza. It should go without saying that pepperoni and sausage toppings tend to make a pizza greasy.  The veggie and just cheese pizza is far less greasy if you're concerned.  Another great option is the Stromboli. Excellent.  Again my biggest complaints about Spinellis are the speed and the service.  I have been in during the day, at dinner time, and late at night and both are always an issue.  I don't think we have ever had a friendly server though some have been worse than others.  Food is always slow coming out also. At least a 45 min wait for a whole pizza at any time of day.  We actually came in once at around 11 pm with a group of 8 people and after sitting for fifteen minutes and being totally ignored by everyone working we finally left.  It's not like they were even that busy yet. With better service this would easily be a four star review!

Yeah.  No.  The atmosphere alone put me off.  It smelled like wet dog in there.  Must have been the Eau de Hipster.

The service was arrogant and self-important.  That's all well and good if you are a five star rock star.  This is not a five star rock star.  

The appetizers were standard issue deep fried frozen fare.  I could have done that at home.

The pizza was completely flavorless.  I tasted not a single herb in the sauce and the cheese was plasticized.  The toppings were underwhelming and cut too big.  The crust was mediocre.

The bathroom was filthy.  I get that it's part of the look.  Urban apocalyptic and street style can also be done in a sanitary manner.

I really hope the guys don't try to get me to go back here.

We ordered 3 pizzas and 2 two liters of Pepsi at 4am last night. The girl showed up at 5 with the pizzas and no Pepsi. After getting hit on by a drunk asshole she left and promised to come back with the dual pepsi's. She didn't come back....
