This walk-up-window from the sidewalk on Baxter offered food to me with my pup in tow so we were there based on the convenience, not for the dogs so much; consequently, I suppose we were there for the "dog" so to speak.  I do love a good pun.

One star because the guy at the window was friendly and offered seating that was located on the patio around the side (another convenience, especially if you enjoy people watching- and if you're on Baxter are you doing anything more fun?  Possibly.  But it's a challenge to find something more entertaining for me other than people watching).

The second star is for the fact that they opened early for the CycLouiVille event where most of Baxter Ave was shut down for bikers and walkers like myself.  May I take a moment to ask why is it that biker's know how rude driver's are when they take over the road constantly but pay no empathy whatsoever to those of us walking?  It's kinda the same thing isn't it?  Far be it from me to ask questions of these things I know nothing!  I digress but I hope it was amusing.

Honest impression- this place is great for the  late-night-possibly-nauseous food needs people have from time to time from imbibing in a gluttonous fashion and that is all.

For $5 (and you can't order anything cheaper I tried) you get: pop/soda (no diet option available other than water and if I'm paying for the drink, then I'm not PAYING for water),  a bag of chips (plain Lay's, Cool Ranch Doritos, or Cheetos ONLY), and, of course, the dog with two toppings of your choice.  Ketchup and mustard are free for the taking after you get the dog.  I ordered onion and banana pepper on the dog with the plan to add mustard.  Bread was oddly half-stale, half-not and grossly soggy from the peppers.  Onions were on there thick and NOT cooked- they were sliced raw and were HUGE pieces so they fell off of the bun constantly if not coated in the mustard.  The dog was NOT a good color by hot dog standards and, heck, it wasn't even grilled.  If it weren't for the window guy, this place would be closed, but then again, with prices like that for what you're getting, they'd still be open after Armaggedon.
