Lemongrass Cafe

I am from Minneapolis where there is a Vietnamese noodle house on every corner in some neighborhoods. I moved to the south and miss decent Asian street food. I came to Louisville for work and it was a cold wet night so a bowl of pho was a perfect choice. I ordered the meatball and beef strip pho. It satisfied a craving and was very tasty. I also ordered some spring rolls that were mediocre at best. They tasted like they were ordered from SAMs Club...very disappointing.

Needed to get my pho fix and we went to the closest Vietnamese restaurant close to our home that we knew about. Service is good, place not busy. We didn't try any of their Thai or Chinese food so couldn't comment on that. We did order fried eggrolls, not to please with it more in the Chinese style with cabbage was hoping more on the Viet side. We also ordered crab raggoon, that was good. Ordered summer rolls aka fresh spring rolls, good but so small, they where the size of a fried eggrolls. I'm used to the bigger size like a grocery size burrito. For our main dish we ordered the special pho that wasn't on their menu. It was great but it was a bit pricey for my taste. Back in Cali you can order an extralarge for $7 bucks here it was what they called large for nearly $12 bucks.....I posted that on my fb and the response I got was where would a place make you pay for such a price? Was it fancy sit down lol and I replied no...but their regular pho runs around $6.50 or so, I guess I was paying for the special. It was good though, but wouldn't order that as often as I would like.

Lemongrass Cafe:  "Come in, we're as good as Vietnam Kitchen."
Me:  "Not really..."
Lemongrass Cafe:  "But Vietnam Kitchen is so far away and we're near where you work."
Me:  "You got me."

Me:  "Do you have any decent beer?"
Lemongrass Cafe:  "No..."
