There are soooo many places to get pizza in Louisville, but I must say, Wick's is my personal favorite.
Wicky Wednesdays are weekly from 9-12pm (pretty sure) and mean that you pay $10 and get unlimited draft beer and pizza from the basic pies they set out (usually cheese, pepperoni, and sausage are the choices). They also turn the back room into a club with a DJ and dancing. If that's your thing, this location is great because it's right at Baxter and Bardstown which is a fun area.
However, what I really like best about Wick's is the Buffalo Chicken Pizza. Mmmmm it is divine.
My only complaints are that other than Wednesday nights, I do think the pizza is kind of expensive ($15.50 for the 10 inch version of my favorite BCP), and sometimes it is so busy that I've had to park pretty far down the road to find a place on the street.
The service here is hit & miss. Â The staff is friendly and polite but sometimes slower than I'd like. Â I get that it's busier than a lone flea in a fur factory. Â That just means you need more staff.
The Big Wick is a tasty pile of cheesiness and never fails to make us all fall into a food coma. Â Good stuff.
We come on Tuesday nights for trivia. It's a good, fun time! (It doesn't hurt that my team often wins...)
One of the bartenders in that back room is fantastic (I don't know their names) and totally on the ball. The other one is a little more aloof and it is difficult to get her attention to order food or a drink....even if she has just finished taking the order of the person right next to you.
I've had a few of their food offerings. Once I got the spinach salad. It was huge! Plentiful toppings. Really good. Last night I shared the Sicilian pizza with some of my friends. The toppings were great. It had a little too much sauce on it for my taste, but that is a personal preference.
So. I am 100% sure I will be back, if only for trivia and drinks alone.
