After many places tried to replace The Brewery in this location, it seems this will always be The Brewery from now on. We went for a UofL game and it was packed, even the back bar was very crowded. This was a night other bars on Bardstown road were empty, but not here. The game atmosphere is good, front bar is nice, and they have a good staff. Need to return to try out the menu.
Review Source:Okay, the name is a bit of a misnomer. Â This is not a brewery, but it is a pretty cool sports bar. Â As such, they have lots of TVs, good beer selection (three IPAs!), a great patio, and the usual bar fare.
But I have to say, for a sports bar, the food was good, and our service was impeccable. Â Diana shared the local lore, steered us to a great hotel, and suggested our appetizers--fried grouper "fingers", fried green tomatoes, and hot wings. Â Did I mention that it was typical bar fare?
Truly though, the food was solid, the beer served in icy cold mugs, and we were satisfied enough to say, "This place is worth a second visit." :)
