This is really a 2.5 star review. Â We went here for the first time for a drink and were left saying, "Meh". Â The beer selection was minimal, the sangria came out of a bottle, and the prices were a little steep for the selection. Â Service was okay, so we may come back for food another time.

You put the best GODDAMN fried clam roll I have ever had in the suburbs. Shit. Sorry God, didn't mean to take your name in vain to your face. Shit. And swear in front of you. But GODDAMN that was seriously WOW. Crap. I give up. Just go there yourself God. For the love of all things fried and from the sea. The crowd you let linger in this place, is what can we call them....eclectic, retired, drunk, swinging, hungry, and appreciative of really LOUD bad music. God. this is my kind of place. Why the hell did you put in Canton? Shit. Crap. God. More fried clams please. Thank you.
Review Source:Just got back from our first visit to this restaurant. We live right down the street.You walk in and you're not sure whether to grab your own table or wait. I had to yell to the bartender to ask. The tvs were blaring so my husband asked our waitress if they could be turned down a little. She said "sure" but seemed annoyed and disappeared for a couple of minutes. She came back and tv was just as loud. My husband tried to joke with her about a pop culture thing but she wouldn't even crack a smile. Questions about the food were answered curtly and as she was walking away. Hubby ordered veal parm & she asked "angel hair or ziti?" He chose angel hair. When food arrived, we both noticed it was regular spaghetti. (Not even thin spaghetti!) She came back a few minutes later to ask how's everything. He said to her, "No big deal, but this isn't angel hair." You would think he told her she had a huge butt! She gave him a sarcastic so-orry, that's all the kitchen had & left. She came back & said she checked with the kitchen and it WAS angel hair, kind of like "told you so" . My husband muttered "Yeah, right" & she shot back loudly "Yeah, right!" so that people could hear. My husband did not even feel safe drinking the new glass of water that she brought from the kitchen! (She refilled mine at the table) From then on, the bartender came to our table to serve us. I don't know what that girl's problem was, or her name, but she had frizzy blond hair, worn up. Food was pretty good but never again because of this experience!
Review Source:My date and I only stopped into Pete's Place for a drink before sushi at Takara, but the half-hour I spent there was enjoyable. Â The bar is very nice, and it is the center attraction in the establishment. Â The restaurant includes several booths and tables surrounding a large oval-shaped bar. Â The bartenders were quick to serve, and I was pleased to see the pumpkin ale they had on tap. Â Pete's Place is A-OK in my Yelp book.
Review Source:Now, I'm a Boston gal and am somtimes skeptical of dining in the burbs. Â However, I'm rethinking this notion after stopping for dinner with my old high school friend at Pete's Place. My friend just moved to Canton and we thought we would do some exploring. We just picked it at random and were very pleased we did.
The calamari appetizer was a perfect pick. It was served in classy fashion on a black triangle plate but it was not pretentious - the calamari was a generous portion and crispy but not too greasy. There was a side dish of jalapenos and hot red pepper that was a lovely compliment as well. Â I'll mention here too that the waiter was great. He was a down to earth guy, friendly but not too chatty who gave us plenty of time to place our orders and was all around efficient.
Our entrees were bacon and scallop medallion salad and buffalo chicken wrap respectively. Both meals were great. The salad contained a hearty portion of the bacon wrapped goodness, about 6-7 medallions, over a lovely bedding of fresh veggies, tangy dressing and two very yummy sticks of garlic bread. A very satisfying salad indeed. My friend said his wrap was delicous. From my side of the table the french fries looked golden and crispy.
We finished with a slice of the chocolate cake. I will note that they don't have  a dessert menu - just two things to order which the waiter will describe, both chocolate. This is fine with me but take note dessert people, there is not an extensive selection in that capacity.
Still, the place was a wonderful surprise and I'm rethinking burb dining. Maybe the food has to be good - because why the hell else would you go to Canton?
You wouldn't expect a place as small as Pete's to have food as good as they do, but they have a terrific selection of dinner salads as well as a full menu of great food.
The drinks are priced about average, the service is friendly, and they have Keno and several TVs scattered around.
Definitely not a college crowd - it tends to be a little yuppier, but not obnoxiously so. Â It's a great place to meet for a low-key drink and a bite to eat.
