Great selection of smokes and an excellent atmosphere to chill!!! Â Highly recommend Pharaoh's to both newbies and seasoned pro's! Â Peter was extremely helpful and attentive, we were just looking for a place to relax after dinner and the next thing we knew three hours had passed! Â
Good music, big screen TV's, fast service, very reasonable prices.
Definitely coming back!
Best hookah bar I've been to.
Great laid back atmosphere to chill on the weekdays. Weekends gets popping with the live dj and good music.
Great service! Peter is the best, always helpful in flavor recommendations. He also remembers I always take my hookah with a hot cup of tea.
This place is definitely my spot when I wanna relax.
Those great reviews.. Well those must be friends of the "owner" I came with some friends and the guy was nice but.. He kept disappearing our coals became pebbles didn't get to enjoy our hookah for about 20 minutes once we finally got coals the hookah was nasty!! My friends had a water in her purse she pulled it out to take a sip he told us no outside drinks but then these girls came in with "cups" these girls looked 18 not 21 at all.. We mentioned that to him he looked at them trying to say something but they gave him the "oh really" and continued drinking then he Went to check an ID and one person said she  not 18 but her birthday is in a month he let her sit and then sat next to her trying to talk the whole time.. I can go on and on with things I've noticed to me it seems like the "owner" uses his title to try and get his you know what sucked... That's why he sits with random girls and vanishes at random times.. bottles of alcohol around my car when I'm leaving and throw up right out the door of the business...
Review Source:Oddly enough when I was looking for a new hookah lounge this wan't my original plan but I'm glad that other place was closed and I ended up here. This place is pretty good.
Peter, the owner/employee, is pretty great. He's a nice guy.
If you come during happy hour the hookah is only $10, score!
They have a good selection of flavors, many that I've been wanting to try.
It's not as strong or flavorful as other places that I've been to but it's probably average.
The atmosphere is neat. It's dark inside and has lava lamps and other under the seats lighting. It's different and kinda rad.
I'd recommend this to anybody looking for a hookah fix, especially on a budget.
Came here for my hookah fix. Prices are really good, probably one of the cheaper hookah lounges I've been to. Also, with a Yelp check-in you get 20% off! The place is kinda small so you might have to wait on weekends. The ambience is dark and foggy as hell (maybe air out the place a little), but aside from that no complains. Workers are friendly and they keep changing coals often which is nice.
Review Source:Great hooka place. I would say the Hookah is a bit harsh and has to be blown out a lot but it is flavorful.
The place is pretty dark and I think they need to air out the place a little bit more. But this is a great place yo go to if you are in the area. If they offer an apple pitted bowl that will earn them an extra star from me.
Service and staff were excellent and so were the prices. they offer this ice hose attachment  that cools the smoke which is pretty neat.
There is no way this place should even open since all the manager/employee does is  just hits on female customers, only cards females, makes customers buy alcohol for him when hes not 21 yet and even goes and sits in his car to smoke weed after his family leaves during work hours, never tells new customers its happy hour so they get charged more on there hookahs, and gives customers attitude when he doesn't get his way, is never open when they say they are, sits there playing video games, or watching movies to the point he even forgets he's running a business that the customers have to remind him he's working, or disappears in the back room with girls, or tells local customers he'll be right back and just leaves to get food or to pick up girls instead or running a simple business
Review Source:Great atmosphere! Peter is amazing and definitely adds to the place's cool vibe. Â Reasonable prices and when I asked to bring in food from outside there was no problem. I've been to Hookah bars from east to west and this is by far the best. Â Def take some time to stop by and support!
Review Source:First time at a hookah lounge in many years due to the usual cigarette smoke and obnoxious atmosphere. This place is right next door to my work so I finally decided to come check it out and am impressed. Very relaxing and Peter is awesome. Comes and hangs with you and there's cards to play with. Nice blends of tobacco and on top of changing coals. A great find. Definitely recommend.
Review Source:Me & my boyfriend loveeeee Pharaohs Shisha Lounge, we always go on the weekends. The vibe there is super chill, good music & DJ, lots of flavors, Peter is always walking around asking if you need something. With the dimmed lights, the lava lamps & the colorful lights it even gives you a relaxed kinda feeling. Prices & service aren't that bad. If you wanna have a good time check it out. Don't listen to this one star reviews!
Review Source:Best hookah bar in Torrance that I've been too. It's relaxing and I feel at home. They have great delicious variety of tobacco flavors. My favorite flavor is gummybear. The customer service is also amazing. The guy always comes back to check if we're okay and if we need anything. Overall, great hookah, good vibes, poppin' music and great service.
Review Source:I have been to this hookah lounge quite a few times and I must say it's an experience and a pleasure to come smoke here. Every time I walk through the doors, it is a new experience with good vibes and great people. The owner/ only employee running the business, Peter, is awesome to talk to and hang with. When I ask for something regarding to what I need as a customer in his lounge, he delivers, such as hookah, supplying me with coals, drinks, changing the channel on the television, putting music, ashing my coals, and checks on us from time to time to see if we're alright. The tobacco selections are awesome too, also the house mixes. My favorite's mint and safari melon dew. Â It has great deals during the week where you don't see any where else for people who are on a budget, like HAPPY HOUR! If your looking for a place to chill, hang, and relax, come in during the week but if your looking for a good ol' time with good music, come in when the DJs spin on Fridays and Saturdays. Start your experience today and go right on in :)
Review Source:Honestly, I have no idea why this place has such good reviews. Unless anyone who has given a review has only come once maybe twice then yeah. I've been here on more than enough occasions just to be treated with bad service. First off the guy working never checks ID's and he isn't very nice. I waited a good while for just the hookah to wait another 10 min for coals, and when I finally got the coals it wasn't the guy who was working it was some friend of his doing his work because he was sitting on the couch with some other girl talking. He seems fairly young so maybe he just doesn't know how to handle a business but that's definitely not the way. Anytime I come in here it takes too long to receive service, the hookah burns out way too quickly, the flavor i choose never tastes like what I wanted, or it ends up tasting like mint. Good Customer Service is needed here.
Review Source:One of my best hookah experiences! This place was great! The only reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the music choices were very centered on pop rap  which just put a little damper on my experience. But seriously I am totally willing to overlook that anyday, because this place is cheap, comfy, friendly, clean, and just a really good place to hang out with friends. Oh AND!! they have all sorts of deals on different days like college night i believe and mix and match all for the same price.. so many I don't really remember specifics. Definitely worth checking out
Review Source:I can only give one star bc I was not able to try this place. My freinds and I where very excited to try this place bc we heard it was great! We planned to have an early dinner and finish the night at the hookah lounge. We pulled up to the shopping center. There was no sign in the plaza this place excisted, we had to go all around the shopping center to find it! Then we got there at 4pm. We waited there for some one to open. We werent being inpatient or anything, untill 30min passed by and it still wasnt open. We tried calling the number posted on the window and no answer. So we understand things happen so we waited till a lil pass 5 oclock. Still no answer! So we did what any one would do, we Yelped another Hookah lounge! The Hookah Hut was our second choice so we went there instead. These guys were open early and we had a great experience there. 20min into our Hookah the Shisha lounge returns my friends call and she told the guy that we were there for over an hour and no one ever opened but its kool bc we found a place that opens early and has great service.
Review Source:Definitely the best hookah experience in the area. I've only recently tried hookah for the first time so i'm still a newcomer to shisha. The first place I tried was Seaside Pizza on PCH and Torrance Blvd because i was still 17 and they don't check ID. That's the only possible reason I could think to go there.. if you're underage. It's really not a great hookah experience. Of course since that was my first time, i didn't know what to expect. The second time i did hookah (hookah'd?) i tried Desert Nights in Redondo Beach on Torrance Blvd near Prospect. The feeling was much more like a hookah lounge should be: dark, and chill, with comfortable couches. Also, the shisha was significantly stronger at Desert Nights than Seaside Pizza. In fact it was a little too harsh, but i felt the effects noticeably sooner. I wasn't really a huge fan of Desert Nights, because they wouldn't let us bring in outside drinks (my boyfriend and his friend and i carry around gallon-jugs of kangen water) and we had to leave them in the car. It was also way too small and crowded, so we had to sit on these small makeshift chairs to wait for a group to leave. the couches are way too close together, and it just felt cramped. It was also $20 i think for a hookah with two hoses, which i felt is pretty overpriced. If you have a group of three you have to buy two.
Anyways, on to Pharoah's Shisha. We wanted to try a new place because Desert Nights didn't satisfy us. I found this place on yelp and with all the raving reviews, we couldn't turn it down! It is a little bit further of a drive for us, but it's well worth the drive. It was a little hard to find, because there is no sign on the outside, but that's fair enough; i actually like that about the place. it's quieter and not that many people know about it. When we got there, there was only one other group of people there so we had our choice of any couch! The couches are much more spread out so there's no cramped feeling like at the other hookah places. The shisha itself was excellent- strong, smooth, and great tasting. I think I tried gummy bear, guava, pomegranate, and coco jumbo.
They have a special on Thursdays for college students. I'm not sure what the deal is because i didn't pay attention (i'm still in high school) but you're supposed to bring in your student ID and you get a discount. maybe it was $10 for any flavor?
I feel like i'm being too wordy because there's so much to rave about here.
Basically:
The prices: $13 for normal flavors, $15 for deluxe flavors. Very cheap compared to the others. $10 on Thursdays for college students (i think)
The shisha: strong, smooth, and great tasting. I haven't tried many but i recommend the guava or coco jumbo. Lots of flavors to choose from.
The atmosphere: dark red walls; TVs on the walls with no volume, tuned to ESPN or something; mostly pretty good music, loud but not too loud; red and green lasers everywhere; blacked out windows; lava lamps; low mood lighting; comfortable enough couches.
The location: a bit of a longer drive for me and my boyfriend who live in Redondo Beach and Lomita, but worth the drive. also a little hard to find, because of lack of signage, but the reviews on yelp helped me find it. it's two doors down from a dominos, and i think right next door is a place that sells water? its a small strip shopping center on Carson right near Western.
The staff: Very helpful and friendly! I didn't catch the name of the owner but he came over to talk to us and make sure everything was alright. We actually had a lengthy conversation with him. He was wonderful and very nice. The younger co-owner was also very helpful, checking often if everything was satisfactory, and replacing our coals frequently. Excellent staff.
The owner said that they opened in May of 2011 so they're still relatively new and the word hasn't really gotten out yet. While i'd love to keep this place uncrowded and private, they also deserve more business. Easily the best hookah in the area. Don't waste your money at the other hookah lounges around.
I think we've found our new spot!
This place is by far the best hookah lounge I have been to, and i have been to quite a few around Los Angeles. Â Their service is A++ and all of them are very friendly. Â Peter ( owner ) does a great job making sure everything is going okay, and checks often to see if the hookah is starting to get harsh or not. Â If you are not happy with the flavor or the fact that it is just tastes bad, he will ask you if you want to change it for free. Â The prices are very good there especially on Thursdays, college night for kids, which is only 10$ per hookah. The environment is extremely chill, not too many weird decorations, lots of cool lava lamps, dim lights, and every so often a DJ comes in and plays some great music. Even if there is no DJ, the still play some good musci over the speakers. I highly recommend this lounge over any other, and looking forward to going back real soon.
Review Source:This place can be hard to find being that it is hidden in a plaza next to a laundromat and a pizza place. Â I came on a Friday night and it was pretty crowded at 11pm. Â They had a DJ that played Hip-Hop music, and was honestly one of the better DJ's I had heard in a while. Â The lounge is small and dark, and they do not offer a food menu or alcoholic beverages, but the Hookah prices are very inexpensive which is great, about $13 each. Â They also offer one flavor without tobacco. Â The reason why I am rating this place pretty low is that they only had one person working that night and he would often disappear for long periods of time. Â When we were ready to pay and leave, the worker was getting a Lap Dance from another customer. Â We decided to wait until he was finished, as to not interrupt him. Â I'm sure this place is fun for the teeny boppers who frequent it. Â There were about 20 different teens giving each other lap dances (no exaggeration) It just seemed like a gathering of a bunch of horny middle and high schoolers who have never been out in public. Â All in all, I loved the music, liked that they stay open until 3am, hated the service, and disliked the ambiance. Â My suggestion would be if you are not a teeny bopper, spend your night elsewhere.
Review Source:On a random trip to the bakery I saw a sign that said "Pharaohs Shisha Longue" on the corner on the plaza.
I was surprised because I used to frequent that area a little while back, and I did not recall seeing such a place.
So on one night when my bf and I had a visitor, we decided to go hookah, and I remembered seeing the sign and suggested we checked it out. Since it's so close to our place, and others are a bit far.
Were we surprised! Hidden after the domino's & some WATER sign, was this hookah longue! We've been going to random hookah places far as costa mesa. But I think we got a new spot.
The place has a slick chill look, just like a hookah bar should.
The hookah and drinks are not overpriced, and there's a good ambiance.
The server was always checking to make sure the hookah's charcoal was good, and was really nice and attentive.
Nice place for what it is. Small and intimate. Peter did a great job as our server. The hookah was excellent. A great choice if starbuzz and basic flavors. A couple big screen TVs and a DJ to keep you entertained. My gf and I came down here for business and found this nook on yelp, I'll definitely drop in next time im in the area. Only downside I would say Is no food or alcohol, but I'm sure that will come with time, I know how expensive that kind of licensing is. Cheers and good luck with your endeavors Peter and family!
Review Source:As I promised the wonderful staff person Peter, I would review this place upon my first visit. I visited with my boyfriend, and we've been to many hookah lounges all over the state of California (Especially San Francisco and Los Angeles) - Â and my boyfriend has been to a few in Las Vegas.
Hands down, I have to say not only in the South Bay, but California, this is THE BEST hookah place I've ever been to. I will tell you my reasonings below.
1. The customer service is impeccable. The staff is very friendly, will help you with your choices, and they don't give you a hard time and try to overcharge you for having a person at your table who doesn't even smoke. (For instance my boyfriend doesn't, and there was no problem with that.) At other places like SeaSide or the other place in Redondo on Torrance Blvd... they not only watch you like a hawk but will charge me for two people even if I'm the only one smoking. EVEN IF I SIT IN FRONT OF THEM TO PROVE IT! Its ridiculous. Here, you can enjoy and not have to worry about anything like that and I'll explain below.
2. You purchase by hookah, by flavors. Its either going to be 13 or 15 depending on which you choose.... regular, or premium flavors. Â I must admit that is so much cheaper than anything I've ever come across. So that makes my wallet happy. And even on a Thursday there is college night where if you bring your college ID you get discount hookahs! Sweet deal.
3. The atmosphere is something I can really appreciate here. Comfy couches, spaced far enough away from each other that you dont feel cramped at all. Walls painted dark red which gives it a nice dark ambiance, and some cute little lava lamps to go along with the decor. There isn't any any overkill of tapestries and draperies most hookah places tend to have (which begins to smell after a while to be quite honest. Its just a nice feel, large space, and I really appreciate that you can actually have some privacy even in large groups.
Even though theres not a food menu, staff is happy to tell you that you're welcome to get Dominoes from next door and bring it in. :)
Everyone should give this place a try.
Me and a few friends went there tonight and our experience was great. The staff was extremely friendly and attentive. Their prices are very reasonable, especially on our college budgets. It just recently opened and I can tell you that I will be a regular in there ! I highly reccomend it. The atmosphere is great and the music is on point.
