Was a central location to meet someone for a late dinner. Â I was only in the Dinner part and it was average food BUT really good service. Â If it were not for the service this would have been a 2 star review. Â I can't speak to t he sports bar side but they did have a live band on Sunday night and the people looked like they were having a good time. Â In a pinch I would go back but would not make a special trip...
Review Source:I did not eat here, I just came to watch UFC fights and have a few beers. $7 Cover charge and a Miller Lite draft was $4.50 and I thought that was a little high for a diner/bar and also beers are usually less after a cover charge. Bartender was decent...space to walk...nice tv's and loud clear sound. Air conditioner was comfortable. Crowd was mostly white.
If you ever come here just be careful leaving whether you are drinking or not, this area is known for having ALOT of bored cops!
As a diner: the food is pretty bad. Â Fries are ok, chicken fingers are cold, waffles soggy, and clam chowder kind of gross. Â The service is kind of slow, but I kind of feel bad for them with how drunk everyone seems to be.
On the other side, Â at the bar: the food is better (different menu) but it it not really my kind of place. Â Seems like a lot of "Jersey Shore" fist pumping crowd.
Looking for a sports bar to watch two games simultaneously (Yankees on ESPN and Stanley Cup Game 7 on NBC), we asked the clerk at the Fairfield Inn in Deptford for a recommendation and he sent us here. Â Okay, it IS a sports bar...bizarrely attached to a garish diner. Okay, it is a garish sports bar (but what sports bar isn't?). Â The four of us walked in to to be confronted by a long bar....surrounded by tables with high stools...lots of monitors and not an empty seat in sight. Â There are two outdoor decks that were pretty empty but it was kind of warm so no go. Â They were stairs leading somewhere, but there were balloons and a graduation party sign so we thought that there was a private party. Â We did ask and they said we could sit upstairs so off went. Â The upstairs bar was practically empty so we got a table and had a great view of the games. Â Weird note....while the two baseball games (Phillies and Yankees) were in HD, the hockey game was not. Â Cannot figure that out.
Okay...the food. Â We all ordered drinks and three appetizers...a mess called "loaded fries", potstickers and 20 wings, hot. Â The fries were good because we were hungry...but the cheese was cheese food and the bacon wasn't too generous. Â The waffle fries were well made, but again, we were starving. Â The potstickers were standard fried dumplings...probably out of the freezer. Â The wings were outstanding. Â Meaty, without a lot of sauce...spicy enough too. Â
Then came the real food.  Two of us got salads with dinner. They came with a house balsamic vinaigrette dressing that was so vinegary it was inedible.  Ugh.  My "Jack Daniels" pork chops were kind of dry...couldn't finish them.  They were two healthy chops and I was kind of full...but they were dry...could have used an apple sauce or chutney to help them go down.  My collegues Chicken Penne was not great.  Pasta was cooked fine...just kind of cheesy and heavy.  Not a good review for the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich either.  Finally, the  Jack Daniels Pulled Pork sandwich got a rave review....so we had one good main course out of four. Â
In hindsight, we agreed that we should have tripled the order of wings and it would have been a better dining experience. Â
As far as ambiance...the waitresses were cute and friendly (definitely South Jersey Snookie-ish) and well endowed. Â At a point, someone started screaming into a microphone in the bar downstairs...couldn't understand a word. Â
Totally tab for the four of us was $135. Â That included five mixed drinks at $6 a pop and four beers at $3 a pop. Â
As I said, it is a sports bar. Â We were going to go watch the games at Pizzeria Uno and this was probably a better choice. Â Oh, almost forgot...there was a floor show! Â We got to watch the security guy (muscular guy dressed in black with "security" across the back of his shirt) come up and toss a Napoleon Dynamite lookalike in a Phillies cap from the restaurant. Â Believe it or not, this loser comes into the place, orders a soda and then proceeds to pull out a styrofoam container of chinese food and starts eating! Â They confiscated his food and threw him out. He should just get cable.
Great place to come for food and to watch sports games. Â The place is surrounded with big screen tvs. Â I don't watch too many sports but I've come here during a sports game and the place is packed but there is plenty of room to move around. Â The food is really good and there is a good variety on the menu. Â They also have a decent drink selection!
