My favourite pho restaurant !! I used to come here at least once a week.. (now more like once every 3 weeks...)They have the best broth for sea food pho and the best tofu spring rolls!! I don't care about anything else :)) Love this place! Yummy!!! I dont know why some people are saying it's too loud in here.. usually it's like this in all the pho places that I have been to! I also like the interior... very colourful and modern!! Good job! :)))

When I first started coming here I loved it. Service is pretty good, pho is nice and tasty and on week nights it was $5 Pho night. Then they stopped having culantro (one of my favorite parts of this dish). Got over it.... now they have stopped having limes. They provide you with lemons instead. When it first happened the server told me it was just gonna be a couple days. Its been over a month and I'm starting to think that its going to stay that way. Limes are essential to this dish, its ok with lemons a time or two because its food service and stuff comes up, I know (7 years experience). But it seems like the dish is just being ripped off to meet budget costs or something. Also just saw a sign that they have stopped the $5 pho nights period.

You disappoint me Pho-Yo, been a huge fan for a long time, hopefully its a phase.

I will however say that their frozen yogurt is still amazing... pistachio is by far the best.

I love their food, but I can't give them any higher than 3 stars,

    Pros:
    Great food
    Great prices
Convenient location(I go to H-mart after)
    Quiet during the day

    Cons:
Terrible customer service(our server forgot about us for over an hour, staff is rude)
    EXTREMELY loud at night

I work in customer service and I'm very judgmental about it.  No matter how busy you get, there is no reason to  for you to be rude to paying customers.

However, the service did not permanently deter me from them because I've yet to find a place that serves pho as good as they do.

I came across this place this past weekend where I was pleasantly surprised by their big portions of pho noodles. I had to order the small order of noodles since it was a lot to eat!

The food is presented in a timely fashion with chopsticks and Asian soup spoon provided. I like the siracha (Asian ketchup) and hot sesame pepper sauce on the side to add extra spiciness to the already yummy soup of noodles, fresh onions and greens.

They even provided a big plate of basil leaves, fresh, crisp bean sprouts and zesty lemon wedges to add additional flavor to your pho bowl. Water was instantly provdid upon seating without request. I had my pho beef brisket bowl with mango boba drink which was delicious and added the right balance of fruity flavor after the spicy noodle bowl. It made my fall weather weekend even more delightful to enjoy hot soup.

I haven't tried their ice cream / frozen yogurt but from the looks of it the flavors change periodically with a variety of yogurt toppings to customize and choose from, whether vanilla wafers, sprinkles, captain crunch cereal, etc. .

Very good idea to combine authentic Vietnamese noodle bowls with frozen yogurt / ice cream dessert.

They even provide a selection of bottle Asian imported beer, such as: Asahi, Sapporo to enjoy your meal with.

For a limited time they have happy hour $5 noodle bowls from Monday thru Thursday after 5:00 PM.

I highly recommend this place for affordable Vietnamese pho, frozen yogurt and boba drinks. This is a fun place to introduce someone who hasn't tried authentic Vietnamese food to take them to. Its even better place to enjoy hot soup on a typical fall day / night.

Someone once told me your first pho is usually your favorite pho.  I'd have to agree.  Pho Yo is the first place I ever had pho, and even after visiting several other pho establishments I keep coming back.  It is my go-to for take-out pho.

Their broth is delicious, and I find their meat to be good quality.  With take-out I've noticed recently portion sizes have gone down some-- I don't seem to get as much meat or noodles.  Pho Yo is also known for running out of ingredients from time-to-time.  On a recent take-out order I had lemons instead of limes and no green onions.  Sides can indeed be sparse if you're ordering more than one pho (size seems standard no matter how many pho are ordered).

I love the boba smoothies here.  They get their boba supplies from Lollicup, so they're delicious.  I like their portion of boba in the smoothies (not too much, not too little).  They're better quality than other pho establishments, but the bobas do harden more quickly than at Lollicup.

I like the manager a lot.  He's very friendly and tries to be accommodating when they run out of something.  The one time I experienced very poor customer service was with the young woman who works the register.  She was very unhelpful, cold, and surprisingly flippant when they had run out of a smoothie flavor.  (And don't ask her to recommend a smoothie flavor-- she can't have dairy and won't rally other employees to give their suggestions.)  Thankfully that was an isolated incident.

If portion sizes would go back up, I'd probably give them 5 stars.

I know I swore I would never be back but I had a working lunch and this was the place chosen.
The service was excellent, We had our food in a minute of ordering and the food was done right.
Our waiter kept our water glasses full and brought our check promptly.
The broth was rich and perfectly spiced.
The pricing was pretty low - $5.25 for a small.

I think I might be back for lunch to see how my review will change.

I'm  a big fan, plain and simple.  The prices are great - $10 for a medium (read: ginormous) bowl of pho and a frozen yogurt.  The broth is rich and flavorful, they give you plenty of meat, noodles and veggies on the side.  I guess they have some late night specials too which seems crazy when their prices are already so affordable.  The food is always brought to the table within minutes and is hot and delicious.  After my first visit I was hooked and now crave this place like a dirty junky.  In a good way.

Pho is consistently piping hot and delicious. Food comes out nice and quick. Best part is that staff recognizes regulars here. Usually a pretty good crowd. Restrooms could use a little bit of work and are dingy on the inside.

I like the fact that they close at 10 PM Friday and Saturday, and for the $5.00 any size Pho for happy hour.  A small is more than enough to satisfy you.

    *** EDITED 01/16/2013 ***

The $5 deal for any size of pho has now ended, so the pho is back to being average-priced. Unfortunately, that means their larges are now never worth it considering I always got 80% noodles. I tried some other pho places afterwards and got much more meat in my large than here for the same price. I will probably not be returning here since Pho 79 on Havana and Mississippi is closer to me and has better value.

    *** END 01/16/2013 EDIT ***

The best deal for pho anywhere I have been. $5 for any size after 5pm Mon-Thurs and after 9pm Fri and Sat. You cannot beat a $5 large pho with everything in it. Normally a large will cost from $6.50 to $8.25.

The people are very nice and the place is very clean. The service is very good and fast. I rarely have am empty water cup.

We have had dinner here twice in the last couple of months using a Weekly Plus deal for appetizer, pho and frozen yogurt. The best deal is the any size bowl of pho for $5 Mon-Thurs after 5pm.  The brisket was fatty.  The shrimp and chicken were good.  The condiments for the pho were sparse.  We had one little plate for 3 of us.  The chili paste container was empty.  Service has been minimal, even though the staff stands around the counter. Fresh spring rolls were tasty. The frozen yogurt was limited to 2 toppings. The food came out very fast, even before we could finish the appetizer.  This is a good place if you want a fast pho fix.

One of my two favorite pho spots in Denver.  I don't live anywhere near Parker and Yale, but I make a special trip to the H Mart in the same shopping center from time to time and I like to stop by pho-yo while I'm there.   You can't beat the $5 any size special - order a large and have leftovers for days!  The meatball pho is my favorite variety and the broth is a bit richer here than at many of the other pho joints I've tried.

They also offer a very good selection of boba shakes, which is always a plus in my book.

For frozen yogurt, they have plain (tart) and a flavor of the day.  The tart is always good; I've also tried the pistachio which is smooth and creamy.  Good stuff!

Finally stepped out of my comfort zone for pho places and tried this one. Very modern touch to it, a lot of the younger crowd working here. Service was good and quick, nothing too new about Pho restaurants. The broth was decent, but for some reason I couldn't make it taste like what I wanted it to, however it wasn't too greasy, but the proportions were off I can agree.

Overall, okay experience. Maybe I'll stop in again if I'm in town and craving some pho.

I'm a regular at Pho-Yo and I love their $5 any size pho deal from 5-9pm during the weekdays and I think the offer is available after 9pm on Saturdays too.  I love loading my pho with tons of veggies and I wish pho-yo would be more generous with the bean sprouts and basil.  However, I've never had a problem or been charged more when I asked for more toppings.  As you can tell, I'm a pho-natic and I will keep supporting this local restaurant.

Ah, I do love to feed my pho addiction!

I had a Groupon deal for this place that I let expire (damn it) but stopped it to use the face value to get carry out -- and was pleasantly surprised when they gave me the entire groupon amount.

The pho was *delicious* and one of the best I've had recently.   In addition to the pho, I also ordered a noodle bowl to go which was pretty darn tasty.

I wasn't aware of the great $5.00 specials, but now that I am, watch out since I drive past this place at least twice a week!

Ok. Gonna try to keep this short.

    Verdict? Solid.

Nothing to call home about, DEFINITELY no Pho 96, but good enough considering its the only "late night" pho joint around...if 10 is considered late..*cough cough Pho 96 stays open til 3am.on Fridays and Saturdays cough*

    Positives:
$5 any size after 5 Mon-Thurs, 9-10 on Fri and Sat.
Medium has enough noodles to not need my regular side of noodles.
Despite other reviews' gripes, the broth was warm enough to cook my rare steak.

    Negatives:
The smell in there is horrendous. Just smells like dirty mop water and overused wipe rags.
The plate of veggies is pathetic. Laughable. Hardly enough for one person's small bowl, much less enough for two people (or more) to share.
Broth was reeeally nothing special. At least it was hot.
Hoison sauce was super runny. Don't know what's going on with that.

So, I'll go back when pho is all my stomach wants....probably only during their happy hour though.

Having read a lot of reviews prior to going, I think us yelpers are making an impact.  I was a little worried because I bought a group on for this place and then I read the reviews.  The cleanliness is what worried the most.  That being said, I saw servers going around diligently with a chemical spray bottle wiping down the tables.  That being said, Pho Yo is a trendy little spot, with a pop modern design, diamond plating stainless steel tables and cool little light fixtures.  There were a lot of people in there and it made it feel like a cool place to hang out.  I ordered the egg rolls and the pho with rare steak and brisket.  I have finally figured out my system for sriracha sauce.  I squeeze out 1 3/4 circles of sriracha into my pho.  Any less and I am left wanting, any more and I might as well get a netty pot.  I was a little disappointed in the vegetables they gave, it was very small compared to what you get at pho 79, but they did give a fair portion of meat.  The egg rolls were great when hot, but might have been a bit on the greasy side.  All in all, I can't complain about the food.
Service is terrible.  But I'm not mad at them for this.  All of the servers they had were very young and it seemed like they just have a bunch of kids that need a good kick in the pants.  When I first sat down, they forgot to get me a water.  Second, they did not give me consistent refills on my water (come on man! did you see I did 1 3/4 squeeze of sriracha!), third, they forgot my Thai tea.  I don't think the bad service was intentional, I think they were just kind of lost.  Finally, when they gave me my Thai tea, I sipped into my straw and it was lukewarm.  I opened the cap and it was full of ice?  Come on people, give the drink a stir and give me a better first impression.
If you go to Pho Yo, get a groupon for it.  Its alright, food is good, service is suspect, but if they keep reading our yelps, service is easy to fix.

I am not longer torn between three or four stars.  Pho Yo has slipped to a solid two stars.  First off, the smell in here is now enough to make you gag.  Second, the condiment plates have gotten so sparse, you need to get three.  Third, the smell in here will make you gag.

$5 bowls of pho any size after 5pm (Mon-Fri I think), what a steal!

Spring rolls tasted fresh and pho was pretty good.

Boyfriend liked the yogurt as well but more expensive then most fro-yo places.

I used to frequent pho yo quite often because it is close to work. It is always dirty, fair to just ok service as some are great and some piss poor, but the food was always good.
The last time I was in I ordered per usual and the kid brought out sprouts and limes. I reminded him that there should be culantro and basil as well. He stated that they were out of basil and a new shipment was on its way. I reminded him that there is an Asian market literally across the parking lot and he stated their order/shipment was already paid for which obviously doesn't resolve the current issue of being out of a staple associated with your food. Not sure if there is a manager at the store but if there is they sure failed to do their job that day.

The good:  service was friendly.  Facilities were clean.  Chicken was flavorful.

The bad:  a bit overpriced for the portion.  on average, I have paid 6.95 for more than I received here at 8.95.  The eggroll is near flavorless and not worth the calories.  Pity...it's one of my favorite appetizers.  I judge on egg rolls....i probably wont be back.

I really liked this place.   I didn't know much about it but stopped on my way to H-mart, as I'm sure most of their first visitors did.  I am Asian so I know a lot about Pho.

What I liked the best about this place is the cost for Pho. It's price ranges from $5.95, to $7.95 I think for the large.  You also get to pick the meat (meatballs, steak, ...) for free but shrimp is $2 more.  My wife and I both got the small and it was more than enough for us.  The stuff is really cool too, just a bunch of young guys working for their family or friends it seems.  The interior is a lot more modern than most Pho places too so I love it and will definitely be going back!

Since posting this review, Rick, the apparent Manager of Pho Yo, has officially stated that he apologizes for providing poor service, smaller to-go portions than those eating-in, discontinuing a discount card program because it saves them money, lowering overall quality, and making customers literally beg for their broth in to-go orders.

Apology accepted; but as much as it warms the spirit of this world-weary avenger of the ripped-off customer to hear a restaurant owner politely apologize for providing second-rate service and submit that there are simply no excuses for doing so - that attempt to "get over" on the collective denizens of Denver still exists.

Thanks for the kindly-stated follow-up, but please also do something about it, lest we one day see PhoYo being visited by Gordon Ramsay trying to "save" yet another restaurant on the verge of collapse. PhoYo could still be so much more, and you don't have to reduce overall quality to reduce costs.

I love Pho Yo, the food is great, the staff is very friendly. It's a quick place to grab lunch.

Currently they have a deal Monday through Thursday after 5:00 PM, any size bowl of Pho is only $5.00. How can you beat that?

The kids like the frozen yogurt too.

Man. This is a toughie. On the one hand, I'm pretty bummed that they don't have vegetarian broth. I ate the beef-based broth anyway, since I drove from Golden to Aurora, and it made me kinda queasy afterword.

HOWEVER. And this is a big modifier. I had what was quite possibly the most delicious alcoholic anything I've ever consumed in my long life as a lush. It was Korean sake (called "soju")--wait for it--mixed with their banana fro-yo. Holy. Freaking. Gaaawwwwd. It was insanely delish.

The pho was A-OK other than the beef broth making me feel meatsick. The manager or owner who assisted us was just a pleasure to be around. He's the one who suggested the soju-yogurt drink and, based just on that, I'm gonna knock it up to four stars. But availability of veggie broth would make a huge difference in my likelihood of going back.

I'm fairly new to Pho. I discovered it earlier this year, and I'm pretty much hooked at this point. I've been to pho 79 in aurora and pho bowlevard in littleton. I enjoyed both places. I'd say I'm still learning about this wonderful type of food and the best places to get it.

I tried pho yo mainly because I bought a groupon deal. For 7 bucks I got an app, a medium pho, and a medium frozen yogurt. The deal was too good to pass up, and it turned out to be a heckuva meal!

For the app I got the spring rolls with shrimp. I love that chewy rice paper! The greens were crispy and cool. The peanut sauce was quite thick, which I liked. They were good, although I've had better spring rolls.

The pho was really good. The broth had a good amount of flavor, without being spicy or salty. I added all of the other goodies including the peppers and limes. The meatballs were great. Overall, a great bowl of pho. I happily slurped it up. Pho 79 is probably a bit better, but not by much.

The fro-yo was awesome! I got the pistachio flavor. It was creamy, smooth, and sweet.

If I'm in the area again I would certainly come back. For 7 bucks I was extremely pleased. Recommended.

Pho Yo's located in a small strip mall just across from the big Korean H Mart.  I've driven by several times with disdain questioning the quality of this place call Pho Yo...a combined business name to tell patrons that they have both Pho and Yogurt.

Came in around 8:30pm and ordered a small bowl of Pho Tai Chin.  The portion was huge for a small and was good enough to eat.  The reason this place gets 4 stars versus 3 is the stellar service.  Everyone was so super friendly...crazy really.  At the end of dinner, they even offered small samples of frozen yogurt is a mini dessert.  I passed on the dessert even though I'm a crazy fan of frozen tart yogurt.

The only thing I'd ask for is additional condiments for the pho...I was expecting cilantro or maybe even saw leaf herb (Iong coriander).  I'll come back because of the huge portions and the awesome service.

I'm so-so on my first visit here...

Vermicelli was al denti (which is fine for a penne, but not Pho).  Their Broth (the key to Pho) is not top five in my humble opinion. You can always tell a good Asian place by the ratio of Asians and the Asian ratio was maybe 1 Asian to every non Asian at the most.

On the upside, the place was clean and bright and friendly. The Staff was VERY attentive. Boba was good.

I'm split on the second attraction.  The Frozen Yogurt was  a bit too tart.  I enjoy the taste of yogurt, but I think tart to the point of puckering is too much. I was really excited by all of the toppings like cereal only to realize  that the cereals were all generic and thus tasted like cardboard.

We stopped by here with my husband here after doing some shopping at H-Mart which is right across from this place. Typically, I'm not a pho fan...more often than not, I find the broth is bland, the noodles are overwhelming, and there's hardly any meat. But this place truly blew away my expectations! I got the small Pho-Yo (pho+frozen yogurt) deal for $8.65. The broth was exceptionally tasty and flavorful, salty with a dash of sweet, and made perfectly spicy when I added a generous squirt of sriracha and some jalapenos. The small (more like medium) pho I got came with a good helping of meatballs (but flat like patties) and a big heap of fresh veggies (mint, bean sprouts, jalapenos and limes) on the side.

For dessert, I had a small (again, much larger than expected!) blackberry froyo. I usually turn to Pinkberry for my froyo cravings but this was just as awesome: smooth, sweet and tangy, fabulous even without  the addition of toppings.

This brightly-lit place makes a great stop for a casual lunch or dinner when you're super hungry but not looking to spend too much. Service is super fast and very polite. Definitely coming here again!

So I've been wanting to try Pho for the past couple weeks- and decided to finally go to a place on my side of town (since I can't make it over to the West....where apparently there are better Pho....I'll keep you updated when I actually make it over there).

After reading many, many reviews I decided to go with a friend of mine who...isn't very adventurous with food. I have to admit, I'm impressed. I very much appreciate a place that I feel clean eating in and getting a good meal. Granted, its a bit more "modern" (they have the same styling as Pink Berry - and they were playing Macy Gray, which I love, and Christiana Aguilara - made me laugh) :)

We were seating promptly and water was brought....I got a Thai Iced Tea with Boba and wasn't disappointed! We also both ordered small bowls of Pho, mine was steak and his shrimp. Now, I must also point out that I think they have their sizes mixed up....because a "small" was more like "large".

We were so full we didn't get fro-yo (I know, right? - shame on me), but they did bring us samples of the two they had- original and pomegranate.... they were delicious!

Needless to say, I'll probably be back.

After Heidi gave her thumbs up about this place I was desperate to try it.  They are only 10 minutes from my house and half way between my friend Meghan's house, perfect for a pick up en route to movie night.

The service is attentive and informative, bordering on non-stop.

My friend Meghan and I frequently meet here.  Right now they even have an evening $5 for any size promo.

I usually get rare steak and love it.  The convenience of not having to schlep to Federal and the delicious fro-yo make this place a new favorite.

Pho-Yo has brand new, crisp, clean, hip, and modern shop in an area of town and in a genre of food that is not known for being crisp, clean, hip and modern.  So why only two stars?  Well, first of all, the shop reeked of cleaner.  I'm talking a potent combination of bleach and lysol that kung fu kicks your nose into submission.  It is very off-putting and will ruin anyone's appetite.

The pho itself is just okay.  The broth is well balanced and clean, but very weak in overall flavor.  The presentation is also nice.  However, the brisket was a major disappointment.  A good brisket should be nicely marbled with fat, allowing for the slices to essentially melt in your mouth.  Pho-Yo's brisket had very little marbling, and came with large walls of fat.  The pieces tough and chewy.

On a positive note, the fro-yo here is outstanding, with a great selection of toppings and a simple, tangy fro-yo that will have you saying "yum!"  I may come back again just for the fro-yo.

This place is fairly new near the H-Mart market.  The previous eateries in this location didn't do well so I was skeptical about this place, especially with Pho 79 not too far away.
Clean inside with modern style & accents.  Pho was good - the beef stock broth was balanced and the garnishes (sprouts , basil, mint) were fresh.  The meat was good too.  Service was quick.  Didn't try the yogurt though...

I stopped in for take out last week.  I work down the street and was excited to find out that there was pho in the area!  The inside of the restaurant is nicely decorated, modern style and comfortable.  See the photos I uploaded.

The waiter that took my to-go order was very friendly and welcoming.  I definitely give the service here an A+ ....at least the take out service.  While I was waiting, I noticed the frozen yogurt bar.  I was wondering why the place was called Pho-Yo... now I know :)

My meal came out in a plastic bag with all of the ingredients separated.  When I got back to the office, I opened the bowl / large cup of broth and there wasn't much room to stick anything in there.  I had to slowly sip broth and make room for noodles (which were all stuck together and hard to separate to get into the broth in sections).

Overall, the meal was tasty, cheap and well worth the trip out of the office for lunch.  But the inconvenience of the way I had to eat it was annoying.  Next time I'm going to ask for a bigger bowl with the same amount of broth so there is room for me to add my ingredients.

I hope to come back for frozen yogurt sometime and I'm sure I will definitely be back for lunch!

I have been back twice since I have posted my last review.
I had their Pho and I really really really liked it and it seemed like I had a never ending bowl of noodles. Of course I had to get the frozen yogurt to go. This being my first Pho encounter, it was luuuuv.
I went back last week and my portion was smaller both of the pho and the yogurt. I was still hungry, maybe im having a growth spurt. The noodles seemed to be over cooked but the broth was still yummy.
Maybe I got them on a bad day, its a serious possibility.

The facilities were way too clean (atypical for an authentic viet restaurant). I don't like their Pho+Frozen yogurt concept. I'd say, if they are going to go with something, they should stick to it [I am a purist, what can i say?]. I heard the table next to me saying this was probably one of the best pho restaurants in the area, and I would have to terribly disagree. Granted the pho came at lighting speed once we ordered, the broth was a bit greasy, and the flavor of the soup wasn't that intense. I mean... it was reasonably good and authentic, but I'd had so many better ones. I'd say Pho 75 on Havana is probably better.

The workers were pretty nice though (and there's this cute viet girl behind the counter who will take your money with an angry face if you don't bring it to the counter). Word of advice.... when you pay, always pay at the cash register... that's the ettiquette in pho joints. The prices were a little higher than in usual pho restaurants... so don't be surprised if you'll have to pay $1-$1.50 more than you are used to.

Interior is awesome. Looks like.. a hello kitty store. Cause I'm into stuff like that. If you haven't tried "Pho-Yo", do it now! It's right by H-Mart.

Let's talk about the union of the blessed pho and the cool, cool fro-yo, not your standard cafeteria fro-yo, but rich and creamy 'give your tongue a sleigh ride' kind of fro-yo. A perfect combination. Boba is so old skool!

Back to the pho. Very nice bowl, lovely presentation, just enough onion and green bits poking out of the beefy broth to give off an aroma of health in a bowl. Beefy but not greasy and so clear if you move everything to one side, you can see all the way to the bottom of the bowl. A perfect balance of meat, tendon, noodles and broth. I tipped the bowl and wanted to climb in it. The ball-n-chain made me put the bowl down and step away slowly.

Veggie plate - check, all the good stuff and not so much that there is much waste.

You must try the Vietnamese egg rolls...oh my. hot crisp, fresh out of the fryer rolls paired with super fresh, cold, glistening veggies and a to die for dipping fish sauce.

Service. Well, I gotta say, this place might just give Pho 95 a run for its money with service. At least three people refilled our waters, they were all so happy when we said we were happy. Polite and cheerful. The chairs were a little funky and not condusive to sitting cross legged.

May the gods of new business smile on these folks and do your civic duty and help stimulate the economy by stopping by this clean, happy place. Your tongue will love you.
