Holy Drink Buckets, Batman! Â The Peach on the Beach in a bucket is THE way to start off a vacation. Â The food was the best we had the entire vacation. Â (Being subjective....we had some really awful experiences at some really expensive restaurants, so we kept asking why we didn't just go to Pinchers??)
Our bartender/waiter was knowledgable and friendly....and not bad to look at....:)
I love this place. Staying in a condo on the beach in a retirement hot spot I wasn't sure what the next 10 days had in store for me. In the end at least 9 days were spent @ Pinchers Tiki Bar. The fact that it was on the way to the beach didn't hurt either...
Day one: (don't worry...I won't give you the play by play) We arrived and immediately went there for lunch and drinks. The food was great and the fries were delicious!!! Happy Hour also lasts for majority of the day. Buy 1 get 1 draft beers and well drinks not to mention the buckets available. So after this encounter I knew we would be fast friends.
Over the next week we tried: the coconut shrimp-"larger and tastier than the pricier joints", our friends from Chicago ordered the Crab Dip one day-I tried it-not a seafood fan I enjoyed it! As far as sandwiches the BLT was so delicious and so was the Pincher's Chicken Sandwich.
It's the Cheers of the beach at this end. The locals come and sit and talk to you and the bartenders know your name immediately ...and usually will have your back up waiting for you upon your last sip of the one you are working on. Great place to come and chill and enjoy the nice Florida sunset.
They must have gotten a better menu since the last reviewer. Â We had a party of 7 for my sons 2nd birthday and it was lovely. Â The only reason there is only 3 stars is because our waiter was awful we sat there for almost an hour waiting for our check. Â My grandma had the fish and chips which is always good, my sister got snow crab which was on sale for 9.99 and delicious, my husband and I had the seafood platter for 2 with calamari, scallops, and fried grouper, it was very small for the price but tasty. Â My dad had the scallops and my mom had crab alfredo which was amazing. Â Overall a good experience.
Review Source:When I found out I was going to go drinking at the bar at a Holliday Inn, I was less than excited much less enthused about the proposition. Â After arriving and parking out front, my trepidations weren't exactly quelled by the 60's facade and the typically dated Holliday Inn curb appeal.
Things didn't immediately improve upon entering the 'lounge' of the restaurant, but after looking up, you quickly get an idea of why we were brought  here...  The patio overlooking the beautiful white sandy beach of Ft. Myers.
The large patio featured a few dozen umbrellaed tables providing shade from the sun and an unobstructed view of the imense desert like beach seperating you from the surf. The distance to the beach is nearly a quarter mile of fine grained white sand.... Not taht I really know, cuz I was too busy sucking down margaritas on the patio.
The menu is limited to say the least. The offers are basically chicken fingers. Alligator Tail nuggets, and chicken fingers. Â I think there was a fish sandwich maybe, but the point I'm trying to make is tha tyou are hear for the drinks and view, not the entrees. Â Â
Overall, there's not a whole lot of other options for drinks on the beach that offer free and easy parking (though I beleive its at your own risk technically). The relative convenience and decent (not great) service plus the chill live music, view, and overall beach vibe is enough to make this place a worthwhile destination.
