I don't know what has happened to this place in the last few years. I've haven't gone there in quite a while. The quality isn't up to par like they use to and the pizza I have ordered almost all the time isn't the best anymore. The pizza I get is just soft, and very saucy and very cheesy, and the bread rolls I would get were cold, during lunch time mind you.

I've noticed the last time I went (again, I have to consult with my receipts) that it a little dusty in some areas. The experience isn't the same. I have no idea why, and I have been to the S. Nashua location once, and it was before Merrimack started to go down in quality. But this is ones opinion.

It was... okay. I met up with a friend for lunch and, though she swears by the place, I wasn't that impressed. My side salad had very wilted leaves (this is kind of a huge turnoff food-wise for me because gross slimy lettuce is the last thing I want to put in my mouth). I only ate a bit of it. The cheesy garlic bread was pretty tasty, but the pizza was super sloppy and had way too much cheese. I was excited when I saw " hot cherry peppers" as a topping option and I was pretty annoyed when my pizza came out with sickly-pale yellow banana peppers instead. The food overall wasn't terrible, but it wasn't anything I'd crave again any time soon.

I had phoned in an order for this place at lunch, and my husband was going to pick it up.  Also might I state we had NO discounts, coupons or what have you!!!!! We payed full luncheon prices.  Well, he arrived home with the items, and we were missing part of the order, so I called and got the most rudest, arrogant, cras person on the phone, and guess what, she was the MANAGER ON DUTY.  I explained the situation to her, and she said oh too bad, you need to specify that you wanted the salad with the meal, and it was only written down for one salad.  Well hello, I didn't think I had to do the paperwork to order also!!!!!!!!!  She said only 1 salad was written, so that's what you get!!!! What a way to speak to a customer, says a lot about the training or non training that this individual has had.  Owners must not prequalify their management staff before they hire.... She needs to not work with the public...... Food was mediocre as others have said, so Pizzico you can kiss us goodbye along with many of our neighbors and friends that we will tell...  We live in Merrimack so there are many other choices to utilize.  And I hope this manager has a wonderful LIFE!!!!!!!!! Thank you.

Basic summary:  Terrible service, unreasonable prices, mediocre food.

We went to Pizzico after a movie at the nearby theater.  It was dinnertime, but the restaurant was not packed...there were a few other tables, but the restaurant was at least 60% empty.  Amazingly, the hostess and waitress both seemed flustered, scattered, and disorganized.

From our seat, all we could smell was this intense, chemical-y orange smell.  Like those awful bathroom sprays, but we weren't even that close to the bathrooms.  The smell was so strong that you could pretty much taste it.

The waitress would take our order, ask questions to confirm what we wanted, and then come back several times to double check what we wanted.  She clearly seemed to keep forgetting what we ordered, but instead of just writing it down, she kept coming back for reminders.  In addition, after asking me five times what dressing I wanted for my salad, she brought out our main dishes without ever bringing me the salad that came with my overpriced and poor-quality meal.

Overall, I would not go here again.  The food was bad, the service was worse, the smell was dizzying ... and there's just no excuse.  This is basic Italian food.  It's not hard to make tasty Italian food.  You get better ambiance and authenticity at the Olive Garden.  Never again.

I guess I had diminished expectations going in, but was pleasantly surprised by a veal dish that was fresh, and very good.  Is it a step below the top places, the North End in Boston, well, sure, but for a place a little out of the way, it was plenty good enough.

The salad was fresh and the Asiago dressing was very good - a tip from the waitress pointed me in that direction.

Bread was fresh, but their dipping oil leads something to be desired.

    Service was prompt and pleasant.

Prices were middle of the road.

Bar looks nice, but I didn't get to experience that.

We have been to Pizzico several times in Merrimack, but failed to have a good experience.  I have a friend that raves about the pizzico in Nashua, told her she was crazy.  Then on LivingSocial saw a deal for $30 of food for $15.  Thought we have not been there in years, why not at 50% off.

Three of us went there at Noon on a Saturday afternoon.  There was 1 other party of 4 in the restaurant.  We sat right down and waited for about 10 minutes waiting for our waitress to take our drink order.  Drinks came right out and we ordered lunch.  The salads that came out were almost frozen and old, we left most of them.  Waitress just took them without asking if there was something wrong.  Food was actually pretty good, the pizza I had was good.  One person got ravoli with came with 4 ravoli, a rather small portion.  Waitress never checked on the food or came by to see if we needed drink refills.

After we were done we waited around for about 15 minutes to ask for the check.  Then another party of 2 came in (making 9 people in the restaurant for 2 waitresses) and she started waiting on them.  We got up and she got the hint and brought the check.

We have been there 4 times and each time gotten the same service.  Food is usually good, but the service is horrible.  Not sure 50% off was worth it.

Last night will definitely be the last time I dine at this restaurant. It really is bad. The first time I visited, I hated the pizza I got. I thought I'd give them a second chance, but it was a mistake.

Yesterday, my date ordered the flounder alla fresca and I ordered the steak tips alla toscana with asparagus. The presentation for the steak tips was just plain gross . The sauce for the steak  tips was all over the plate, drowning the veggies. The steak tips themselves  were dry and tough. The pasta that my date ordered was dry and lacking flavor. The fish was soggy. And the bread that they served prior to the meal wasn't warm... lukewarm is more like it.

Finally, the service sucked. The server never came back to check on us after serving our food. We knew immediately that we got a bad meal, but it was as if she kinda ignored us for a while.

Anytime I have to go home to make dinner after going out to dinner is bad. Next time I think about going to this place, I'll just throw some money in the fireplace and set it on fire. At least I'll get some entertainment value that way.

I have come to this restaurant several times and always sit at the bar.  Needless to say, last night will probably be my last visit.  Every time I am there, whether it is busy or dead, the service is HORRIBLY SLOW.  When I look around for the bartender, they are usually found at one of the tables, talking to friends or drooling over guys.  And last night, the main reason why I will probably not go back there is because in the service area, where the food is brought out, a sign reads "It is forbidden to pick off of customers food.  If caught you will be fired."  Really?  If you have to write this to your employees then 1) post it somewhere that patrons cannot see it and 2) hire people who are not going to "picking" off customers food because that is just plain gross.  Obviously it must be an issue or the note wouldn't be there.  I have waitressed for many years and would never even think about "picking" off of food that is to be delivered.  UGH.

I live nearby...the pizza is fantastic... The service is the worst I have seen anywhere.   Don't dine there unless you have hours and hours to spare...

Living nearby doesn't necessarily mean we've been there often, but we often are recognized in the bar. The service in the bar far exceeds the service in the restaurant, which is a shame.

The menu would be better suited to be pared down a bit. There's no need for that many options and some of the food suffers. Tip: AVOID THE DINNER ROLLS. Rubbery, weird shaped rolls, often served ice cold. Note to owner: theres plenty of low cost methods to preparing fresh italian bread, and you are an italian restaurant right?

I enjoy several of their appetizers and a few entree's but some are too heavy handed. The alfredo is heavier than is should be (yes, I know it's cream and cheese based), but not entirely sure of theirs even being homemade, which is blasphemous if they are trying to stay authentic. The spinach and cheese dip appetizer for instance is getting alittle to close in flavor to the entree's that specify either an alfredo or carbonara. Seems they all come out of the same lot. Italian food is better suited to be made to order and remain fresh, which seems to be the problem here.

I often order the broccoli & garlic saute and have them put a chicken breast on it..the last 2 times the chicken breast was precooked and placed on it..was rubbery and dry. The pizzas have a good crust but way too much cheese weighs it down..when it cools down a bit, biting into a slice is like cutting through a layer of rubber with your teeth. Otherwise, I don't mind getting a pizza there on occasion.

I would say they need to work on fresher, quality foods (and once again..a good restaurant is not gauged on the size of its weekly sysco order) and surprised they would go this route. It's decent food, the price is nothing crazy for what you get but could be very good if the owner would take the time to bring his heritage to the forefront.

One last tip: be better suited if the televisions were put on sports(or even news) not soap operas and american idol type of shows that the bartender likes to watch. i wouldnt even think of going there if there was a good local sports team playing, it won't be on..and once again, shame on them. Youre running a business, you should cater to the consumer, and your bar would be more of a destination.

When I visit one of my favorite clients in Merrimack we often go here for lunch.  The waitress in the bar is super nice and seems to genuinely like my clients, so become a regular!  The food is really quite good.  I usually get the mini pizza which has a nice crust and a good sauce.  I never get the desserts but you walk right by the display case and I"m telling you, they look good!  Check it out
