Prince J's  Soul  Food

Three of us went to Prince J's a few days ago for an early dinner.  One had Buffalo wings, one had turkey wings, rice and greens, and the third had red velvet waffles and chicken.  So... they tried.  Would have given it a 3.5, because the service was great; however, the food was just okay for us.  The wings were good - some were a little overdone, but just spicy enough.  The waffles were cold, and the fried chicken with that dish probably should have stayed in a little longer - a little pink near the bone.  As far as the turkey wings and the collard greens, they were also good, but the rice was bland.  We think we'll try it again, though; maybe for one of their specialty nights - karoake, comedy, etc.

Went for the first time on Sunday 4/8/13. Visiting from New York, the best candy yams ever. Our waiter was very nice "Mike" was his name ask for him. The fried lobster tail is also a must, and the mac and cheese. Overall very lay back and yummy food. Worth the cab ride from south beach.

The food at Prince J's was delicious, the waitress was nice and helpful and the ambiance the best! I must say I was impressed all the way around. I went there expecting to wait at least 30 minutes, but to my surprise it took about 8-10 minutes and that was because certain food items are cooked to order. I can't wait to return. Listen up Miami, here's our chance to support our very own. So check out Prince J's and spread the word. We need more good soul food restaurant in the Miami area.
