Protein Bar is making a killing...and it's victims are too weakened by hunger to fight back. Â This place boasts appropriate portion sizes, but has failed to adjust its prices to match. Â They load up every dish with quinoa, known for being the cheapest grain around. Â Their advertised "bowl" of food is really a cup. Â Go for the "healthy parm," if you enjoy a luke-warm cup of canned tomato sauce - heavy on the sugar and salt. Â So much for your "healthy"! Â It's very suspicious, the way the food prep bar is obscured from view by marketing material. Â The staff looked sad and imprisoned, as if tired of bearing the brunt of manipulative corporate practices, for which they have to deal with many dissatisfied customers.
Review Source:I'm having a hard time resisting a cold blended drink when I get my breakfast burrito despite the cold weather. Â But they keep offering seasonal smoothies that are too good to miss trying.
February, the Winterberry Buzz. Â Blueberries and ground coffee. Â Who woulda thunk the combo could work as good as it did because it was amazing. Â Bittersweet in every sense of the word, the combo of flavor and the fact that it was gone before I could get seconds.
March, the fitMint. Â Boom, take that shamrock shake. Â It's best made with whey and dairy, so that's how I got it. Â It was O-K, but I was much more pumped with my Winter Buzz.
Be sure to check your order before you leave. Â Even if the place is empty. Â They don't pay any attention, and you may likely end up with an order that you are allergic to, but alas, can do nothing about it since you are already back at your office. Â Their lack of attention is deplorable.
Review Source:I'm upping my rating a little more than I probably should, because I'm giving Protein Bar the benefit of the doubt, since they make such an effort to be vegan-friendly. They have a few already vegan menu items, plus they can easily make most of their food/drinks vegan. I really appreciate that.
So far, I've had the Wrigley Peel smoothie, with almond milk (soy milk is also an option), which was very good, albeit a little pricey. They also give boosts, a la Jamba Juice, but I should note that PB's smoothies are much, MUCH better. I have also had the Green City Vegan wrap, which I really enjoyed. A few days later, in order to be "healthier," I ordered the salad version, called the Superfood Vegan. Later, when looking at the nutrition info., I noticed that the salad really isn't much lower in calories or fat. Although, they were so skimpy on the dressing, that I find it hard to believe the menu's nutrition info. reflected it. I still enjoyed the salad, but next time I would probably order extra dressing or dressing on the side.
Finally, I decided to try the Original Vegan wrap, or "barr-ito." Unfortunately they were out of daiya (vegan) cheese, so they subbed avocado. I was REALLY disappointed with this wrap. As a few others mentioned, the ingredients are good, but there is practically no seasoning and absolutely no sauce, so the wrap comes out really bland. Maybe it would be better with the daiya, but I still think that it would have been dry and boring. I was pretty bummed about wasting 8 bucks on it, but at least it was healthy (tons of fiber and protein).
A few other notes:
Pro: They sell GT's Kombucha, which I LOVE.
Con: I attempted to order online, but it said online orders were temporarily "frozen." When I called, the guy on the phone wasn't very friendly or helpful, and informed me that they don't do phone orders and directed me to the site. When I told him it said ordering was frozen, he gave no explanation and just told me to try a phone order at another location. This was not helpful considering I work down the street and was just trying to get a quick meal on my lunch break.
I finally made it to Protein Bar for lunch today. I know several people who love this place. The deterrent was usually the long line of customers that often extended outside the front door. Today I passed by just before noon and was shocked to see no line at all! I ordered the bowl of chicken chili. I was in the store for about three minutes, as I placed my order, paid with credit card, was given a frequent diner card, and was quickly handed my order. The onion pieces gave it some crunch and texture, and the cheese gave it some extra gooey oomph. I liked the chili and it seemed like I was eating something warm and healthy for a change. I will be back but I will have to pick the right time to avoid the long line.
Review Source:I normally stay away from healthy-sounding foods, because - let's be honest - that usually means it doesn't taste very good.
Not so with Protein Bar!
Had I ever eaten quinoa before? (Better question: did I even know how to pronounce quinoa? ... my colleagues certainly didn't - "KEE-NO-AHH?") Nope, but that didn't stop me from loving it! Here's what I've gotten:
Spinach & Pesto Bowl: THE go-to dish. If it's your first time (and you like pesto, or spinach), or looking to find a dish that'll nearly universally please, this is your answer! It comes in this small bowl and you expect that it's too small .. but it's heaven in every bite and also surprisingly filling (did not leave hungry!).
Quinoa Chili: Good for the times that you want to take a break from the spinach & pesto. Also good if you want lots of cheesy goodness (... though that's probably not that healthy, huh)
Ivy Barrito: This is basically the spinach and pesto bowl, except in burrito form. Good if you're on the go (and can't eat a bowl?) or if you want the extra carbs, I guess ...
Capone Barrito: My most disappointing dish here - not as flavorful as the other things (would not get again)
Millennium Perk: delicious - and it gave me energy! :)
The Red Line: not as great as the millennium perk ... I think chocolate flavoring goes a long way in covering up the protein powder taste (which I don't like), in a way that vanilla and fruit (the basis of this drink) does not.
All in all, Protein Bar is a more than solid choice for lunch near the office, and I'd highly recommend to anyone who's health conscious or just looking for a lighter, "cleaner" tasting option :)
It is just so dangerous that I work only a hop, skip, and a jump away from here. Â I should probably just tell my boss to deposit my check right into their cash register...
Being a vegan in downtown Chicago is surprisingly easy, but it never tasted so good as when I go to Protein Bar. Â My two specific favorites are the grilled vegan burrito, and the pier-nut butter and jelly smoothie. Â I add spinach into both of these, for a little surprise veggies, and the crowd goes wild! But seriously, I love healthy delicious food, and Protein Bar always does the trick. Â Oh, and the cashier already remembers my name - which I'm attributing to the customer service of the staff, not my ubiquitous presence there. Thank you
Matt Matros & team never disappoint! This place is absolutely amazing and my only complaint is that they haven't branched out and opened locations in Atlanta yet!
Protein bar is perfect if you're looking to keep things on the lighter side and/or if like me, are are vegetarian (or vegan). The smoothies are the best I've ever tried - I'm partial to the Wrigley Peeled with skim milk, but you really can't go wrong!
Food 5/5 - "twisted" burritos (they add small and unusual ingredients wich you would not add in your burrito) and interesting shakes! Filling for big person!
Service 4/5 - line up for order, pay, wait for 5 min and go. Its more take out place rather than stay in (but you can)! Helpful staff.
Price 3/5 - $4.50+ for 12oz Drink!
Not for regular lunch! Will be back for fun and new food!
Since I discovered this place I have gone through multiple of those punch cards that gets you points towards a free meal. And yes every time I fill up one I go for the most expensive item on the menu for that day.
So know you know I buy the basics and test the other menu items every other week. Therefore I am not complaining about this place that saves me roughly $32/m on lunch.
a Couple of my favorite Bar-ritos is the BBQ(grilled) and the Greek Town (chilled) both runs for $7.29 and the cool thing I discovered about Quinoa, well for me anyway, it is almost as if it turns my lunch into an extended lunch because I only get hungry for dinner that day around 8:30 or 9p.m. that was a weirdness since I discovered quinoa.
Why not 5 stars, I am glad you asked. For one they lost a star since their prices has gone up drastically in the last year and another star because the portion sizes has reduced.
They have very friendly clean staff and I will always recommend them to everyone.
This is my go to lunch spot in Chicago. At least once a week I come here between classes to get a "power" lunch in order to get through torts/property. The Bar-ritos leave me satisfied and energized instead of groggy and greasy like most lunch places around here.
My personal favorite is the buffalo bar-rito, which comes with grilled chicken, blue cheese, a vegan buffalo sauce, and quinoa. Delicious and good for you? Yes please. Â Spicy, savory, and easy to eat on the go. A must try if you make it here.
Protein bar makes eating well both easy and delicious.
Not for me.
I've been here a few times because the co-workers finally got tired of Freshii and decided they wanted to lick the back of the next computer monitor.
Honestly it's not *that* bad but for someone who grew up on spice, seasoning, and cooking from scratch - it's like pouring sand in your mouth. Â Again, I'm being unfair but that was my initial reaction.
I know Protein Bar has a lot of fans and their customers are generally either white collar business or white collar just-left-the-gym people. Â The menu is written nicely, accurate, appealing but it just has no flavor until you find out they have bottles of sriracha, Cholula, and tabasco they can soak the food in. Â The shakes are pretty heavy but highly customizable (soy milk, 2%, low-fat, etc.). Â Some are actually pretty tasty but one large shake can probably fill you up for dinner so I advise you to mind the hunger in your eyes. Â Besides that they have a wonderful selection of over-priced hard-boiled eggs and fruit in a cup.
When I first read about PB, I was very skeptical. Â People really eat here every day and sometimes twice a day??? Â Lines out the door? Â Having tasted the food, I now believe the hype and consider myself part of the cult. Â I usually get the Spinach and Pesto bowl with chicken and it's the best dish you can eat for under $10 anywhere. Â Full of flavor and nutrients, it scores a goal every time. Â Also, I get the Chili bowl sometimes and it's quite tasty too. Â
I tried the Steak House Bar-rito once and the steak was a bit dry so stick with the bowls. Â The salads are a bit expensive so I don't order them either. Â
I wish they were as prolific as Chipotle and that there was one on the north-side because I'd eat there more often. Â But, they opened a PB at my gym so that will have to suffice. Â
I hope more places follow PB's trend and start making healthier food. Â As it stands, PB stands magnificently by itself in a landscape of bland and non-nutritious fast-food.
Very very healthy food, but also a bit pricey. I enjoy the Ivy I had the other day and how quickly it was made. It was delicious. The ingreidents to everything is very fresh and incredibly healthy. They make Pret seem like McDonalds. Protein Bar loves to use Quinoa which was new to me but tasted great with the chicken in my Ivy. The Ivy bar-ito was All-natural chicken, organic quinoa, spinach, basil pesto, and shredded parmesan cheese. All this worked together to form a nice treat. I got sweet potato chips which actually weren't good compared to their cousin the sweet potato fry. They also serve this bottle juice which is all natural and very tasty. I'm looking forward to going back and having some other juices and snacks here.
Review Source:LOOOOOVE THIS PLACE!!!
A Weight Watchers dream.... I could eat here every single day for lunch and be in heaven. Not the cheapest salad but hey, it's in the loop after all. Healthy choices, ALL nutritional values noted and the food tastes great.
BUT my favorite thing is the "mixed" salad. You can have your salad regular (they call it layered) or blended. I don't know what they do to the blended salad but if you like to taste all of the parts of your salad in one bite the mixed salad is the way to go and it is wonderful. The chicken on one of the salads is shredded so it is mixed throughout, it's like having a perfect portion of the whole salad in every bite.
AMAZING... thank you Protein Bar!
I could probably eat a barrito here for every single one of my weekday meals and be a-ok with it. Â It's not only tasty, but the ingredients are about 5 times healthier than the Chipotle's and Qdoba's of the world.
Filled with quinoa instead of rice and with wheat wraps rather than flour tortillas it's about half the calories while only sacrificing a smidge of deliciousness. Yes, the food is a little bit pricier, but you'll likely live a lot longer and you can't really put a price tag on that.
This place is crack for healthy food junkies!
If you care about high quality, healthy, tasty food, this place is for you. Â Its ok if you can't spell or even pronounce Quinoa, cause after a few visits you will converted to a true believer. Â I love their Ivy wrap, and the Capone is also excellent. Â The Vegan salad (which i sub Chicken in for the tofu) is also outstanding. Â And their protein shakes make you feel like you are cheating and having a milkshake. Â
My only complaint would be that the portions of the wrap are a little on the small side if you are a large male with a healthy appetite. Â But then you can always grab a couple hard boiled eggs as a side if necceary. Â
Don't forget to ask for a frequent visitor card, cause once you start you won't stop (i know plenty of people that go several times a day). Â
Oh yeah, avoid the high traffic lunch hours because the line is long and you won't get a seat. Â If you can wait til 1PM, thats the sweet spot. Â Or just order online and pick it up with no wait.
I used to love this place when it first opened despite the lines but it has definitely gone downhill. You no longer have the control you used to over what you ordered. The portions are WAY smaller and today mine was cold when I got it (even though I got it 2 minutes after I ordered which kind of makes me think they just had an extra pesto laying around).
I love the pesto bowl but honestly its not worth the line, the price or the quality anymore. I'll get my healthy fix next door at Pret.
This is really a 3.5 stars. I will say that I really like the food, and the Fruit Loop'd protein shake is AWESOME. Mostly I give this place props for being a quick lunch place downtown that actually has and promotes vegan options. That is always a huge perk for me. The downside to Protein Bar is the cost. It's ridiculously expensive. $9 for a small salad is just too much. A friend and I went here for lunch a couple weeks ago, and we both did really like the food, but agreed that the deliciousness of the food sadly did not justify the prices.
But I might be back for another protein shake.
This was my first experience with the Protein Bar chain. Some friends raved about it so I met them there for lunch. This place gets crazy busy. The line moved pretty quickly, but be prepared. Order online if you think of it.
I love how healthy everything seems. I eat lots of quinoa at home so it's fun to see it in a restaurant.
I go to the Washington location now, but this is a great place if you are nearby.
This is a great place. Â Everything is custom made, you don't have to go out of your way to avoid useless calories and fat, because they've designed the menu with this concept. Â It's not as expensive as I expected, especially when compared with Freshii and Pret a Manger, its area competitors. Â The smoothie options for choice of protein, dairy and vitamin are awesome. Â Great place for gluten free dieters to dine.
Really good chili topped with yogurt, cheese and onions and chicken buffalo bowl.
SIGH.
Well, I'll give Protein Bar credit when credit is due. Â Smart move: first gain a cult following and THEN jack up prices while making portions smaller.
I came for lunch today knowing fully well that they had tweaked their menu and increased prices due to the addition of kale to their lettuce mix and due to "globally rising food costs" as they say on their blog. Â Yes I get it - food prices have increased. Â But I also see Protein Bar's move as a strategic one to increase revenue to fund the opening of more Protein Bars across the city. Â But whatever, as long as the quality of my food is not compromised, I'm fine with price increases. Â
My buffalo chicken salad was $10.51. Â TEN DOLLARS AND FIFTY ONE CENTS. Â For a salad. Â The lettuce mix is now completely chopped up and hard to grab. Â The container it is in is now plastic, taller, & deeper, which means that it is even harder to get to the super chopped salad. Â The kale? Â So chopped that it was nearly non-existent. Â The majority of the mix was romaine, and we all know how nutritious (and expensive) THAT is. Â The joke's on us, Protein Bar.
The new rewards card? Â Get one free item after TWELVE stamps instead of the ten stamps it used to be.
The place was crowded as always, but I'm sure it was full of fools like me who didn't realize the extent of the price increase.
I will no longer be going to Protein Bar twice or even thrice a week like I had been. Â I really can't justify paying these prices for lunch.
Question: Do I feel like a creeper updating my review for Protein Bar yet again?
Answer: A little, but who cares?
It's winter. Â It's cold. Â We're all craving yummy, hearty food to fill us up and warm our bellies. Â Nothing, and I mean NOTHING will get the job done better than the chicken chili quinoa bowl. Â Make sure to get the cheese and dallop of greek yogurt on top and ask for some chopped onions on that bad boy.
It's delicious. Â I love a nice, traditional, rich-tomato chili and that's exactly what PB delivers. Â I'm not even a huge fan of quinoa, but you can hardly taste it when mixed with the chili. Â
The staff is as friendly as ever, too. Â I've just started asking whoever takes my order for some suggestions and asking how they like one product vs another and whoever helps me is always right on point. Â I like that.
Just eat here. Â Seriously. Â You know you don't REALLY want McDonalds...
When I'm downtown for job interviews/whatever, it's very tempting to want to eat something very tasty, but very bad for me. Thank goodness I found out about Protein Bar before my last excursion!
This place is right across from the Willis Tower. I met a buddy here for lunch at about 11 AM on a Friday.
The menu is very diverse, and has something for everyone. The service was great, and I really appreciate how all the nutritional information was listed on the menu.
Fresh veggies, quinoa, free-range meats, and all-natural products (not just faux natural, either. There's no such thing as all-natural frosted cereal!)
I ordered the Capone burrito, which had quinoa, chicken, marinara, spinach, and parmesan cheese. My friend ordered the original. Our food was made promptly, and we just beat the lunch rush. The place was packed when we left.
I'd really like to go back to try breakfast and/or a smoothie. The chili sounded enticing as well. I will be back!
This is a great option for the type of people looking for a healthy meal without having to worry about preparation by the restaurant. Quality ingredients and quality staff! The prices are also very reasonable. Would you rather have a #4 at McDonalds or a meal with a Bar-rito, fruit cup, and some green tea? For almost the same price, I'll take the former.
Try Protein Bar if you are in the city... there are multiple locations! You won't be disappointed.
This place is ok for breakfast, as there is no line usually. Once I've figured out that they use 4 pumps of agave in their breakfast bowls and started asking them for just one pump, I began to really enjoy having an Almond Berry Bowl for breakfast once in a while. Here's a formula for a perfect Almond Berry Bowl (perfect for me): Almond milk, extra almond milk, 1 pump of agave, both berries and bananas. Yum.
Lunch is a different matter. If you'd like to spend 20 minutes in line, get a wrong order or not get your order at all (it being given away to someone else) - be their guest. I just do not understand why one would stand in that long long long long line, when Pret-a-Manger next door has none and their food is just as fresh. Ok, fine, quinoa must be the anser to that question.
Healthy. Check. Reasonable. Check. Fast and friendly. Check and check. I can't find anything wrong with this place. Seriously, they have the healthiest menu chock full of quinoa, fresh veggies, blended drinks, AND they serve breakfast all day. *fist pump!*
I can even order online and receive a discount on my first order. I love that Protein Bar is just a hop, skip, and a jump from my work, and I'm not spending more than 8 bucks on a wholesome and filling lunch. I heart you P.B.!
I couldn't even finish my buffalo chicken burrito yet without writing a review. Â This is amazing, fresh, full of quinoa, spinach, chicken in a whole wheat wrap. Â Perfect for lunch. Wishing they would open one in Lakeview ASAP! Â Can't wait to try the High 5 Juice that I ordered later.
Exactly what I've been looking for, great, healthy and satisfying lunch options that don't make you want to sleep after eating!
I think I need an intervention. Â I eat at PB nearly every day and I love it!
I started coming to Protein Bar in July of this year as I made the switch to vegan and needed something quick and close. Â Since then I go on a nearly daily basis (they know me by name there).
One of my staples: the vegan original bar-rito is excellent, healthy and crazy filling. Â They use quinoa instead of rice which is a plus and their wraps are whole wheat. Â They then add in their seasoned black beans (fat free, I think) and top it off with Daiya cheese...once this is done they move that bar-rito in all its glory to the grill where it's perfected into warm, melty goodness.
They also  have online ordering which saves time as the line is usually around 20 people deep (minumum) if you go anytime between 11:30 and 1:30pm.
I wish it didn't take me nearly 2.5 years to discover this place. Â Now that I have I will def be back often. Â The name is misleading (I thought it was a granola bar store) but in reality they have a huge variety of healthy lunch options with lots of protein. Â Apparently they have a hangover cure smoothie as well. Â
I tried the buffalo chicken salad with quinoa for lunch and it was AMAZING. Not only was it delicious, I wasn't even hungry until 8 pm. Â A friend got the pesto chicken bowl which also looked delicious. Â Next time I'm planning to try a "bar-rito." Â Downsides include the long line and paying $12 for a salad and drink but it was worth it.
In search of a healthy dinner while staying downtown, I landed at Protein Bar. I ran past one early this morning and knew I needed to come back. PB didn't disappoint.
When I arrived, I took some time to read the menu. I couldn't decide what to get; everything looked delicious! I wanted to see what everyone else ordered before placing mine. Since it was slightly crowded I hung back and plotted my choice.
I ordered the Buffalo salad with tofu and no cheese. It was flavorful and very filling. The quinoa, black beans and buffalo sauce made the dish more of a "chili" on a bed of greens which was exactly what I was craving.
I'll be back in the morning for a smoothie! Since I can't travel with my Vita Mix this might be the next best thing.
Happy Vegan Dining!
Carolyn
Eat well! Live well! Be well!
Don't let the name intimidate you-this is not a place just for extreme bodybuilders! Everyone should eat at Protein Bar if you want food that satisfies your taste buds, hunger, and nutritional needs!
This is the only "fast food" place where I will eat. Â The servings are huge (I usually can't finish the food) and not just stuffed with fillers but actually with meat and high quality veggies. Â The flavors are great-they make you think you should feel guilty but they you look at the nutritional info and realize you just ate something that was healthy but tasted unhealthy and delicious!
My favorites are the buffalo chicken salad, the chophouse chopped salad, millennium perk shake, and daley grind shake but everything I've had there has been fantastic. Chili is great too with lots of spice.
Also, the line at lunch time may look intimidating but they fly through it. Â Even during their busiest times I'm in and out in less then 10 minutes. Â Plus they are opening more locations which should help as well! Â Their locations are in the loop but I hope this business continues to expand so can get their food on the outskirts of the loops and even the suburbs!! We need more places like Protein Bar!
GRRRRR! The service here is soooo slow!!
It's 8am on a Friday and there are about 5-6 people behind the counter but only 1 or 2 are taking orders, the rest of the people are doing prep work it seems. Â It would be fine but the 2 people taking orders are as slow as a tortoise. Â
I ordered oatmeal, fat free milk, whey protein and blueberries. Â The girl disappears in the back room. Â She's gone for a few minutes, okay, she must be whipping up my oatmeal back there. Â Nope, she strolls out at and starts mixing stuff in a bowl. Â "What kind of milk do you want?" Â Um, fat free, I told you that already. Â Another minute goes by, she's still putzing around. Â "What kind of fruit?" Â Blueberries. Â The woman at the register says I can pay while I wait. Â The girl making my oatmeal walks over to the register and says, "What kind of fruit?" Â Blueberries, blueberries, blueberries, for the 100th time, blueberries! Â
After about 10 minutes I got my oatmeal. Â It was really good but not make me late for work good. Â If this was an isolated incident I would let is slide but every time I am in there everyone works at such a leisurely pace it takes forever.
Oh OK. Get it out of your system now. Â Har-dee-har-har. Â Protein Bar!
YES, the name is just full on hilarity, especially if you are male and under the age of 90. Â
YES, this is the kind of place my husband would absolutely abhor, with its uber-sleek, modern decor, its tiny tables and stools, and orange and brown colour scheme.
He would hate the long line that snakes around the small interior and be irritated by the wait (personally I feel like if a line is that long, whatever is at the end is worth waiting for)
He would balk at certain terms on the menu - quinoa, agave and acai being just a few.
And he would not appreciate the beauty that is the Bar-ritos and their take on a classic - the Buffalo Bar-rito (which is what I had). Â
Not that he is a bad person, mind you. Â It's just that he is a purist. A hard core, North Side guy, and if he is going to have Buffalo style chicken, or a burrito, well by god and holy hoppin Jesus it is going to be a giant calorie bomb, loaded with sauces and grease and other "manly", unhealthy additives. Â Eating something that is made up of all-natural chicken, organic quinoa, blue cheese, house-made vegan buffalo sauce, and Super 6 Salad Mix would be a waste because why does he care if it only has 440 calories and 12g of fat (but tastes far, far better than what you would expect 440 calories to taste like)??? Do you think he would trade rice for quinoa, white flour for wheat? Â Not willingly! Vegan anything? Fuhgeddaboutit.
And this is just OK with me. Â I will keep this as my special go-to place when I want a guilt-free, delicious lunch. I will also brave the snickering and innuendo for another sampling from Protein Bar (insert filthy joke here).
Disclaimer: I'm vegan.
I ordered an original vegan wrap, which has vegan cheese (yum) quinoa (yum, yum) and black beans (yum, yum, yum) in a gluten free, wheat wrap. All the ingredients for a masterpiece, right? Well, unfortunately, this wrap fell as flat as a white woman's derriere in a thong.
Wait, I'm not done...
As I'm finishing the wrap (because my blood sugar level was at pretty much, dead, since I hadn't eaten all day) I begin feeling/hearing something in my mouth rock and roll. Hmm, what the hell? Â Is this some quinoa that just didn't get cooked all the way?!?! NOPE, it's an effen rock, yep, a damn pebble is in my mouth. I spit it out. I will update my review to see how management handles the situation. This place is a huge issue, huge. Â I'm vegan, and I won't get used to the blandness of a lot of vegan places. I know what stellar vegan food taste like, and places need to either take the stuff off the menu or get their shit together because this is not food, it's crap!
Pro: They actually offer vegan alternatives for the vegan/vegetarian crowd.
Con: They actually offer vegan alternatives for the vegan/vegetarian crowd but just can't execute it correctly.
Eating healthy today is a must and never expect the food to taste so good.
I was amazingly surprised on the experience that I had here. Of course, I had to check everyone's review and it was off the chart satisfying.
I ordered the chicken harvest salad and I have to say that it is not your traditional harvest salad, where the usual lettuce lay under everything else. I'm the kind of person who hate using utensils like knives to cut the salad in smaller pieces. The salad was perfect! The chicken, lettuce, broccoli, red cabbage, raisins, carrots, bleu cheese, strawberry (yes) and nuts diced up in small mouthful pieces.
Hint: I highly recommend you order your lunch online. It was very easy and fast. The line was out the door with people and I just walked in and walked out within 5 minutes. The prices are little on the high side but worth every penny.
