Avanti Caffé

I come here for lunch during weekdays, LIKE it.

I really didn't know much about Avanti and wanted to try something in this part of the loop besides Jimmy John's. So I popped in and ordered the Avanti sub. It was made very quickly and priced. The sandwich however was great. I was surprised when I unwrapped the little bundle of joy. I was so hungry, but there it was right in front of me. Peppers and delicious meet and a great roll of bread. It was delicious.

Let me explain something to you all:
I Love to Eat. I go everywhere, I try most anything, but I am always partial to a good sandwich. And let me tell you, the Diavolo sandwich at Avanti's, is the greatest sandwich in Chicago. Don't care about 3 little pigs, 3 little squirrles, whatever... This thing, with that chewy Italian bread, with the olive oil and hot peppers, enough meat to re-build a cow, all will be on your mind for days (or until you go get another one). Now, the Tostiono's (grillad paninis) are great too. The seafood salad is awesome. But that Diavolo is the damn mayor of that sandwich shop, come by and pay it some respect...
