The few times I've visited Red Brick have only been for drinks so I can't judge their food! Dollar beer night every Tuesday = da bomb! They currently have this blueberry ale in honor of summertime and it's really tasty! They add blueberries in your cup, which was unexpected at first and I could do without it but it's a nice touch! The Avenue Ale is also really good and mild. I'm not the biggest beer drinker, but dollar beers are too good to pass up and they have an outdoor patio so that is great for hanging out with a bunch of friends on a summer night.

My review is strictly for the beer, and "OK" best describes their house-brewed options. They stick to making their own versions of very basic beers, with little creativity or variety. And if that's your thing, then maybe Red Brick is for you.

We stopped in for beers after a lunch (with beer, of course) across the street at The Tilted Kilt. I ordered a flight that featured a sample of all of their beers, including their seasonals. I've never understood why any brewer would want to make their own "craft" version of boring light beer. That being said, the HoneyGo light was more drinkable than, say, Bud Light. Their other standard beers seemed to mimic popular commercial beers. They had their version of a golden ale, the Irish Red, the Irish stout, and an IPA, which was on the lighter side of an IPA. Their seasonals were also underwhelming - the sampler offers two seasonals, and one was a rather pedestrian scotch ale. The other was supposed to be a cask ale but they didn't have anything on cask that day - disappointing - but it was a nice English-style Amber that was the best of the bunch.

Even their guest taps were pedestrian - Sam Adams Spring Ale, New Belgium Shift (which I do like) and Oskar Blues Pilsner were the options that day. I felt that I got better beer, and better selection, across the street at The Tilted Kilt. Maybe I just hit them on an off day ... I'd try them again, but I wouldn't make a special trip to go here. I'd opt for DuClaw over Red Brick Station every day of the week.

Stopped by here to wait out some traffic.  From the looks of the place I was expecting better.  However, the beers were not my favorite.  They tasted a little 'off' somehow.  Perhaps fermented at too high a temp?  They had that kind of fruity taste that happens with too warm fermentation temps.  Also, the light beer was just kind of old tasting, not a fresh microbrew.  I got the fried cheese sticks for a snack and they were nothing special.  Just average, frozen then fried type.  The place was large and very clean however, and the staff was very nice and friendly.

This deserved the effort of a review on their cream of crab soup.  Now we have a favorite that is clear on the other side of the Chesapeake Bay bridge in Grasonville (amazing stuff)  But the cream of crab here actually came in a very respectable second, and so much closer and less expensive then the steak house we pilgrimage to in Grasonville.  The rest of the menu is fair. But the soup is worth the stop!

Have been here a few times before and each time I feel as though the food is hit or miss. Now the nachos loaded are fantastic never fail. But the regular meals are 50/50. I got the beer battered fish and its just fried so fried you don't even taste the fish. Service was ok , sweet waitress but took her forever and it wasn't even that busy :-/
So def not a first choice place more or like everything else is crowded lets stop here.

I used to work here. Food is boring, nothing special and totally overpriced in my opinion. Most of it is bland and underseasoned. (The English customers love it though!). They do however have great beer-battered food if you're in the mood for fried food.

Food aside, I'd come here for the beer alone, brewed in house.  It's the reason I started liking beer. I am an IPA person (which theirs is great) but they actually have very tastey light beer as well. Honeygo Light is prob the only light beer I will drink.

Random delicious menu item: homemade bread pudding.

If you want good beer come here on Tuesday's for $1 beer night (its a serious steal). If you want amazing food, skip it.

Dry burgers even when orders medium well.  I mean very very dry.  Crab meat has not alt of crab.  But good flavor. I probably won't be back.

Beer isn't bad for a brew pub. I would even say its improved over the years. Would still stay away from some of their seasonal brews, particularly if it has to do with a fruit (you're going to be disappointed).

Food is ok, lot of hit miss. To me some dishes seemed overpriced while others seemed under. But keep an eye on the specials, as they are usually pretty good.

Staff is pleasant, friendly, and attentive. And the atmosphere is generally pretty good, though it can get loud quickly.

This place has a split personality. The bar is cool, so many things to look at... I have been several times, even on cramped dollar draft Tuesday nights. However, the dining area is hideous. Think banquet hall.

Food was okay, nothing I would come running back for. The hummus was lacking and somewhat bland and that makes me all kinds of sad. I ordered Katie's Powerhouse Wrap minus the goat cheese. It was as all good wraps should be just needed a bit more dressing. Fries were tasty! Our waitress hated us for no good reason. Food and service alone in the dining area would have earned 3 stars. Thankfully I had visted the bar first.

I am here with 4 stars (the first half of my review cannot be unseen sigh) to chat about their beer and Orange Creamsicle Crush, something's I actually do day dream about...just enough of a saving grace to boost that extra star out of me. I am in love with that drink and their brews are tasty. But watch out, those Orange Crush's sneak up on you with the quickness!

I attended a sun spot event with my husband and son, so we did not have to wait 25-45 minutes for a table.  We parked 15 minutes away, and walked to the location.  The beer was overpriced, $8 a beer, which was tasty.  I had to sit on a high bar stool, and my husband had to flag down a waiter.  I waited for a long period of time for my pre-made burger with hot sauce and a small amount of blue cheese.  The fries were cold before I received them.  My husband an son loved their fish and chips.  However, I rate dining establishments by the basic burger test.  If they cannot prepare an hand formed patty, with worchester sauce, and salt and pepper, they fail.

    Slow, infrequent service.

    The music was sooooo loud.

    Sub par food.

    Ehh beer.

Like Yelp says- I've experienced better! Not that I had high hopes for this place.

Ultimately, it does well enough for a typical chained pub.

Good food, good beer,  decent service, nice, clean, resaturant-  very crowded, has a corporate-chain type feel - but you're in Fake Main Street Whitemarsh, so what can you expect?
Fish and chips were UNBELIEVABLY HUGE AND GOOD.  We really could have shared one plate for three of  us and left full. Three huge, meaty pieces of cod, crisply fried, nicely salty, over top mounds of crispy thick-cut fries (likely frozen, but fried nice and crisp and salty), slighty sweet, tangy, barely dressed shredded coleslaw--- mmm.  Really, really good.
My wife had a Red Hot burger-- blue cheese,  hot sauce, LTM- very good. Frozen burger patty- but very high quality one. Flavor  mix- really tasty!!

Overall- excellent bar food!  Nice but corporate-style atmosphere.  Service friendly, but slow. Very, very crowded.  Beer is pricey, too! 8 bucks for house-brewed ale. Nicely done, but pricey!!!

One of my favorite local places.   Great menu. Good service in every visit.  Dollar drafts on Tuesdays.  Try the. 3 pint pasta or the brew house Mac and cheese

Average brew pub.  Went for late night beers after driving to Baltimore from northeast PA to visit a friend.  Beers were $2 10-close which was a great deal.  The Something Red is great and had a delicious flavor profile.  They did last call around midnight and closed by 1AM, a little early for my liking but whatever.  Did not try the food but looks like standard bar fare.  Would definitely check it out again if visiting the area due to its proximity to my friend's residence.

My friend and I stopped in at the end of happy hour last night. On Thursdays, the happy hour drink special is $1 off of beer... not that spectacular. I had a creamsicle crush that was pretty weak and then a mango crush that was much more on par. My friend had the house chardonnay and said it was decent. We split crab dip and a Caesar salad. The crab dip wasn't much to write home about-- it was a bit too liquidy and there wasn't a whole lot of lumps of crabmeat (mostly shredded). The cheese wasn't too flavorful either. The Caesar salad was on point though. It was very fresh and I love the croutons! The salad dressing was also yummy, although I'm not sure if it's housemade or not.

Our server was extremely nice and checked in on us quite a bit (almost a bit too much). The food came out pretty quickly despite pretty much every seat and table at the bar being filled. I'll definitely be back again... especially for $1 beer night.

Their house beer is pretty decent. It's a typical bar with lots of tvs in the bar area. The food is decent. I've had some good food there and some so-so food there. If you don't want the atmosphere (read: cleavage - no offense) of Tilted Kilt after a movie this is the decent option.

Red Brick Station is a good option if you're looking for a filling meal in a casual restaurant. My boyfriend and I made an impromptu stop there before seeing a movie at the theater across the street. We sat out on the patio, (this was a few months ago, obviously!) The restaurant was very loud and the waitstaff seemed a little distracted by a large party sharing the space with us. I ordered the chicken dip sandwich and my boyfriend a cheese steak. The food was good but not exceptional. We each ordered one of the house brews. They were very good and, I think, the best part of the meal. While Red Brick Station was fine for a late afternoon lunch, it doesn't make the top of my list.

Red Brick is the place to go if you want that big chain restaurant feel with the satisfaction of supporting a local establishment. Other than that, I wouldn't say much distinguishes it from a Ruby Tuesday or TGIFridays.

Beers are home brewed. Easily drinkable, but nothing spectacular. I got the Something Red and the Stout. Stout was creamy like a Guinness, with a mild coffee flavor common to stouts. Seasonal brews are also available, like pumpkin in the Fall and a brandy wine in the Winter.

The food reminds one of standard pub chain food. Large portions are a plus; I've had leftovers every time I go. A definite winner is the grilled Thai wings. The grill gives the wings a nice smokiness which contrasts with the sweet glaze; I dare say this wing fan doesn't miss the crispy texture I associate with standard deep-fried wings. A few British pub grub offerings, such as bangers and mash, stand out. Also, nachos - HUGE - could be a meal for 2-3 people.

The staff is usually amicable, but sometimes spacey. On my last visit (12/28/12), the hostess stopped talking to us mid-sentence to check her phone (really, chica?), and our waitress often passed by without asking if we were ready (didn't seem busy, but at least acknowledging that she would be with us shortly would have been appreciated).

Definitely support a local chain like this for a change from the chains, but don't be surprised if it's not too different from them.

Went here with friends over the summer and it was cool. I tried my friends crab dip and it was pretty good. I had the mac & cheese with breaded chicken. It was average. Reminds me of the one that I used to get at Applebee's years ago lol. My friend swears by this place. I'm willing to try it out again though.

When you walk in you've got a choice of sitting at the bar or the dining room. The place had a classic pub feel to it. I ordered a cup of the Ruby's cream of crab soup before my meal and loved it. It was creamy with chunks of crab and it sure didn't last long in the cup! For dinner I had fish and chips. The portion was HUGE! If you haven't been here you should definitely try it.

Was looking for a place to hang out after a latish movie at White Marsh.  Red Brick was one of the few places open.

I want to say Red Brick is your typical bar and pub in terms of atmosphere and food.  Nothing special, but the location is nice if you want to hang out and get some grub and drinks before/after seeing a movie.

Large bar area as well as sit down tables.  Service was standard, staff was pretty nice.  Our movie finished at around 11pm and the kitchen here closed at about 12am on a Friday night.  For Baltimore thats pretty good.

Food:  we ended up just getting some apps and desert
    - bacon chili cheese fries: decent bar quality, not special.  crispy bacon
    - crab dip: comes with cut french bread. not the best, a bit salty and less crabby
    - beer battered onion rings: these were good.  great crunchy batter (not as good as Zburger across the street tho.
    - IPA: i got a glass of IPA, not sure what brand but it was decent and well priced.  Didn't do too much drinking that night, but next time I plan on getting drinks in white marsh, i'll probably come here since the prices are decent.

The fries and onion rings came about a little bit cold, it might have been sitting out for a few minutes while they waited on our crap dip to be ready.

    Overall:
come here to chill and get drinks if u have some reason to be in white marsh.

Hit or miss. I've always liked this place or atleast had high hopes for it. Some days the food is great, other days bad. You can order the same thing and get different results. Some of the speciality to beers are good and others just OK. If you can, sit at the bar. You get the best service there.

The perfect brew pub. The beers are extraordinary - all brewed on premises, all delicious (I've tried several now). Food comes in generous portions and inexpensive. Waiters and bartenders are attentive. I brought a group of 30 here and there was not only plenty of room, but we were served in a timely manner and the checks were easily taken care of on time. That cemented this restaurant as 5 stars in my book.

    Went here on 7/1/12.
Upon entry, the first thing I noticed was the pungeant smell of wet dog... I guess because it's a brew pub?  I hope that's why.
    Unfriendly, oblivious staff.
Hostess spraying windex on door 3 ft away from our table & watching the mist of it draft our way... Yum, I love windex in my food!
Oh wait.. I don't have any food!
We ordered two soups, wings & chicken tenders and waited over 25 minutes for our food, which was all from the appetizer menu!
We were trying to catch a movie but this took way too long.
When we finally got the food... it was HORRIBLE.
The wings and tenders were considerably overcooked... the tenders looked overcooked & were very crispy on the outside, then stringy/chewy chicken on the inside. My boyfriend had one bite of the chili & said it was terrible.
It took another 5 minutes for our server to check back with us, and we asked for a manager.
A sloppily dressed guy (who looks more like a patron that just left the bar) comes over, and we started explaining everything that happened.
He immediately offered excuse after excuse "our tenders are supposed to be like that" "everything is made to order, it's not a fast service" and my favorite...

"see... you guys gotta get in here a little earlier...   it's busy in here as you can see..."

    WHAT?  IT WAS 4:00.

He didn't offer an apology, our server didn't either.
We were charged for one soup and the wings, of which ONE wing and 1/4 bowl of soup were eaten.
We left just as hungry and pissed off.

WORST DINING EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE.
I WOULDN'T COME BACK HERE IF SOMEONE ELSE WAS PAYING.

Good food, good beer, and good atmosphere. I also love the location, right on the Avenue. Their beer is a little watered down, but that is to be expected at a restaurant that brews their own. The food has always been excellent, from sandwiches to entrees. Normally you wouldn't expect a good entree from a place like this, but they pull it off. They also have great beer specials. It is worth a try.

Food here is solid. Sometimes can go a little skimpy on a side. Beers are fine to me, but the boys who are aficionados, if you will, find the beers mediocre and uninteresting, considering they are a tavern featuring a display of their beer a'brewing in the center.

Never had to wait very long, pleasant staff, decent location for shopping or seeing a movie before or after. Skip dessert here and go to Coldstone. I said it. No shame. Birthday-cake remix holla.

A sizable menu does not detract from good, quality pub grub. There's usually plenty of seating (more fun at the bar for us with good views of plenty of flat screens) and the wait staff is attentive and knowledgeable about both the menu selections and the decent selection of their craft beers.
All things being equal, this is probably the best spot on the Avenue to grab a pint and a bite before seeing a movie.

Went for a wing special with a friend. The drinks were amazing -and strong as hell and great price!

There some 50 cent wing special (or something like that) - unfortunately the night we went it was dry rub wings - my least favorite :(

I'm a trooper, so I at least ate half of mine, they were cooked well I just didn't like the actual rub, so I just drowned it in blue cheese.

Good deal for the price- bottoms up! :)

I ate here for the first and only time today.  It only took one visit to Red Brick to know that I'll never go back.  I can only hope that a manager from the place reads these reviews from time to time so this kind of thing can be addressed.

The food here is fine.  It's nothing exciting, but it's right by the movie theater and I can see why people would come here out of convenience.  I can't imagine anyone getting in their car and driving to this part of town solely for this restaurant's food, but whatever.

The reason I'll never go back to this place is the shockingly poor service.  My wife and I went here today with a friend after a movie and they were not that busy, but for whatever reason, our waitress was nowhere to be found.  She came by a table close to us several times, but never came back to our table between giving us our food and giving us the check.  I actually had to walk in from the patio and up to the bar to get a refill on my water.

Never again.  Their food is nowhere good enough to put up with such poor service.  If I'm in that area for a movie or shopping, there is absolutely no way this place will get my business again.

Been here lots, live close by.  Definitely go on Tuesday night - $1 beers!!!  And it is good beer, nonetheless.  My husband and I went last Tuesday.  We each got sandwiches and had 5 beers between the 2 of us - total bill was $21!!!

Wait staff is nice and handle the crowds nicely.

I went here based on the 3.5 star rating and the menu had a lot of variety but the whole experience was disappointing.

Beef Brisket sandwich was the special of the day and I now know why it was.  It was the chewiest piece of meat I've ever had in my life.  I had to wash it down with a ton of water just to get it down.  The BBQ sauce was boring, the fried onions lacked any flavor and bun was stale.  The brisket seemed like it had been the leftover meat from a while ago.

Crab Cake sandwich was terrible, being from Baltimore, this was one of the worst crab cakes I've ever had and I'm not sure if it was from a Chesapeake blue crab.  These crab cakes are definitely premade and left in a fridge, the crab cake was large but the center part was cold.  And there were red pieces inside that looked like imitation crab meat.

Black & Bleu is blackened chicken breast & roma tomatoes tossed in penne pasta with a creamy bleu cheese Alfredo sauce.  The chicken was very dry and the sauce is very rich.

I think this place is known more for their bar scene and outdoor patio area than for good food.  I had the Spooners' stout and it was pretty delicious and a good price.  I'd come back for a beer and to hang out on the patio but I'd eat somewhere else.

I want to love your restaurant and brew pub, I really do.  Coming in to get the Blueberry beer when it's available is a momentus occasion as good blueberry beer just isn't found many places at all.  The nachos can be legendary on the right night with the right friends!

Though I can't help but have to frown when I think of service, if you're not a regular!  Each time it's something different but service with a smile is NOT something you should shuffle down the line in your training manual for new hires!  Believe me when I say you aren't the only place to eat and drink in White Marsh!!

Your specials are great, the beer not too shabby, food is above average but service can make or break you!

Oh Red Brick. Where did you go wrong?

First off, your beer is marginal but that's OK, I don't expect anything better.

Secondly, I have to swim upstream in the White Marsh just to get to you. I'm not a fan of strip malls and White Marsh is strip mall hell complete with horrible "me first" drivers but what do I expect? It's a parking lot for the beltway.

Third. When you advertise 1/2 price burger night please allow me to eat the entire burger. We ordered a burger on 1.2 off night. Asked for a box to take the other half home and the bar tender looked at us and said "Sorry, you can't take the burgers out. Because it's 1/2 price night the burgers are dine in only."
Uh...yea, and that's just what I did. I dined in, drank you marginal beer, ate your marginal appetizer and now I want to take 1/2 of my burger home. "Sorry sir, you'll have to leave it here."

Am I on Candid Camera here? Is this a joke? You would rather throw my burger away then allow me to take the rest home?
So when he left I wrapped it up in a few napkins and took the damn burger home anyway.
I want to believe that this was the whim of a douchebag bartender and not policy but who cares? Your place sucks and so do you.

This is one of my favorite places to eat on the Avenue in White Marsh. I didn't used to be a fan, but then I turned 21 and started going on Tuesday's for dollar beers. Red Brick brews their own beer and they have several different flavors as well as seasonal ones that they have at different times in the year. Tuesday nights are the best nights to go if you're drinking.

Eventually, I started going to Red Brick for the food and I can't say that I've had anything I didn't like. They have your regular bar fare, with great nachos, crab dip, and amazing cheese fries topped with crumbled bacon.

The Greek Chicken Salad is a good choice, too. If you get the Brewer's size, you will have more than enough food that will fill you up. The soup, salad, and sandwich combo is also a great way to try a little more of everything. I recommend their baked potato soup; it is very creamy and delicious.

They have plenty of great sandwiches and I usually get a grilled chicken breast, but if I'm feeling more hungry than usual, I'll get the chicken and crab melt. It's a messy choice, but tastes better than any other sandwich I've ever had. I can't review every single food item they have to offer because I will be typing all day, but everything that I have tried (which is A LOT) has been great.

In addition to the great food, Red Brick also has really good service. The hostesses always greet you when you walk in and the servers are really friendly. The bartenders are pretty nice, too ;) They have daily specials and also specials between 4 pm and 6 pm for various bar fare.

Another great thing about Red Brick is the outdoor seating with a patio cover. If the weather is nice, this is a great place to enjoy your meal with some fantastic people watching. Usually on Friday and Saturday nights in the summer, a live band plays on a stage by the fountain on the Avenue and the patio seating gives a great view of the mini-concert.

I live and work close to Red Brick, so this is always one of my top choices to go to when it's time to eat.

They actually owe me 2 stars for wasting my time, so actual score - negative 1.

I was in town on business and decided to come here since it was close to my hotel and the front desk recommended it. I was seated immediately and ordered an appetizer and entree - seared tuna steak.

    Then I waited.
    And waited.
    And drained my soda.
    And waited.
Finally my server returned with both my entree and appetizer and asked if that was "okay". Umm let's say no. You see an appetizer should be an introduction to your meal. And introductions generally come first...

So I told her to 86 the appetizer and decided to just eat my seared tuna steak. Except that it wasn't seared. It was dry and overcooked and since she hadn't offered me a refill on my soda, choking on dry overcooked tuna was not really what I had in mind for the evening.

I ended up cancelling everything and went down the street to Don Pablo's for some super tasty chiles rellenos. That'll learn me for trusting front desk staff.

Came here for lunch this past weekend. The food was delicious and plentiful. Started off with the crab dip, which was nice and creamy (perhaps more cream cheese than crab). I got the turkey burger and subbed the fries for sweet potato fries. The turkey burger had a good taste and texture to it. The sweet potato fries were quite a nice surprise. They were waffle cut, slightly crisp and had cinnamon sprinkled on top. Yum!

I was so full on everything that I boxed most of the sweet potato fries home. Our server was really nice and took our order, checked up on us, gave us our check in a friendly and timely manner. If I find myself in the area again, I'd come back.

Good food, good beer, good company is all you need for a nice happy hour, or a meal, or Monday night football. Not the greatest microbrews ever but some are pretty decent.  I think Tuesdays they have cheap happy hour specials on drafts.  The food tends to be good, particularly the crab pretzel.  If you're feeling mischievous, order a Miller Lite.  Some of the bartenders will get very upset and that makes me laugh.
