I hadn't eaten at Red Lobster in a long time so I decided to treat myself. I ordered the combo of lobster, sea scallops, and skewered shrimp. I had lobster mashed potatoes as a side and lobster bisque as an appetizer. The bisque was very tasty but the lobster chunks were a bit tough, as was the lobster tail on the entree. The shrimp were tender and tasty. Â The scallops were very tender and nice. Probably the best taste treat of the meal were the rock lobster mashed potatoes. I'll dream about them. And, of course, the cheese biscuits were a delight. My only complaint is that it took longer than it should have to get my entree. The server was friendly and attentive but she annoyed me at the end when she made a sales pitch about filling out a survey from the ticket. I don't do surveys. That cost her a buck off her tip! Overall, though, a good meal and nice experience.
Review Source:I visited this location on a very busy Saturday night which was probably my first mistake. My stomach was not liking food that week and the only thing I wanted were the cheddar biscuits. So after an hour wait we finally got seated. We had to wait on the biscuits though.
My husband and I both got the shrimp deal that was going on and we both hated the Parmesan shrimp. They were breaded with little flakes on them. It tasted cheap and microwaved... and old...
On top of that we asked for more bread and it never came. He only gave us the check. I was not even done eating. I figured after an hour wait they would at least give us more bread. That's why I came! Oh well! I just need to remind myself to avoid this location and the weekends
"RED LOBSTER! OH YEAH! CHEDDAR BISQUITS GET IN MY BELLY!" would be my reaction every time my parents would decide that we were going to go out for a 'fancy' family dinner when I was younger. This recent visit was my first time back to the old favorite in about five years (props to mom and dad for the GC for Christmas). Â
First of all, oh my goodness, the cheddar biscuits were still worth screaming about. We both ordered the seafood feast (see GC reference). While looking at the menu I remembered why I hadn't been to Red Lobster in such a long time. The prices are so inflated. I could get great seafood at a local place and save money. The food was good. They do make a mean Long Island, so that is my recommendation. Long Islands and all the cheddar biscuits you can shove in your belly (did I mention how delicious they are?). Consistency, that's what they offer. The food is consistently the same, and good. The service was a little lacking, but in their defense, it was peak dinner hours on a Friday night.
