I hadn't eaten at Red Lobster in a long time so I decided to treat myself. I ordered the combo of lobster, sea scallops, and skewered shrimp. I had lobster mashed potatoes as a side and lobster bisque as an appetizer. The bisque was very tasty but the lobster chunks were a bit tough, as was the lobster tail on the entree. The shrimp were tender and tasty. Â The scallops were very tender and nice. Probably the best taste treat of the meal were the rock lobster mashed potatoes. I'll dream about them. And, of course, the cheese biscuits were a delight. My only complaint is that it took longer than it should have to get my entree. The server was friendly and attentive but she annoyed me at the end when she made a sales pitch about filling out a survey from the ticket. I don't do surveys. That cost her a buck off her tip! Overall, though, a good meal and nice experience.
Review Source:I visited this location on a very busy Saturday night which was probably my first mistake. My stomach was not liking food that week and the only thing I wanted were the cheddar biscuits. So after an hour wait we finally got seated. We had to wait on the biscuits though.
My husband and I both got the shrimp deal that was going on and we both hated the Parmesan shrimp. They were breaded with little flakes on them. It tasted cheap and microwaved... and old...
On top of that we asked for more bread and it never came. He only gave us the check. I was not even done eating. I figured after an hour wait they would at least give us more bread. That's why I came! Oh well! I just need to remind myself to avoid this location and the weekends
"RED LOBSTER! OH YEAH! CHEDDAR BISQUITS GET IN MY BELLY!" would be my reaction every time my parents would decide that we were going to go out for a 'fancy' family dinner when I was younger. This recent visit was my first time back to the old favorite in about five years (props to mom and dad for the GC for Christmas). Â
First of all, oh my goodness, the cheddar biscuits were still worth screaming about. We both ordered the seafood feast (see GC reference). While looking at the menu I remembered why I hadn't been to Red Lobster in such a long time. The prices are so inflated. I could get great seafood at a local place and save money. The food was good. They do make a mean Long Island, so that is my recommendation. Long Islands and all the cheddar biscuits you can shove in your belly (did I mention how delicious they are?). Consistency, that's what they offer. The food is consistently the same, and good. The service was a little lacking, but in their defense, it was peak dinner hours on a Friday night.
I was at this Red Lobster a few weeks ago to celebrate my Daughter finishing her nursing school semester with excellent grades. We all ordered the endless shrimp. To make a long story short, the service was horrible as the waitress was AWOL most of the time. I love their cheese rolls and honestly, those with a salad is a full meal but we were hoping to do some damage with all the shrimp we wanted.
Well we didn't get that many shrimp. Not that we didn't want some, but the service was so bad that we got very few. When I went home, I complained on the website and their manager did contact me to say how sorry she was, but the tone in her voice didn't sound very remorseful. She said she would send a gift certificate to make up for the bad experience. A few days letter I received a $40 gift card. So I spent almost $80 and they send me a $40 gift card.
I don't think I could recommend this restaurant to anyone. I will use the gift card, but at another location. I understand sometimes things get hectic at a restaurant but its the tone of the apology and not the apology that really tells if they are sorry. In this case, I didn't get that impression.
Wish you could do no stars as this Red Lobster is a mistake to visit.  We have tried it three times, the last visit we sat at the table for over fifteen minutes and were not even offered water.  We were in eye shot of the Hostess in the bar seating but even she didn't  get a server to come over,  We got up to leave and got to the door and suddenly the Hostess and a couple of Servers noticed and called to us to wait that they would now be happy to help us. Before  this restaurant was updated they had a great staff what happened.  It had been a weekly stop now our three attempts  were a giant bust.
Review Source:It's Red Lobster. Â I am not a huge fan of shellfish, but their daily fresh fish specials are pretty good. Â The salad is pretty good. Â Everything is just pretty good. Â Except the service at this particular restaurant this particular evening, which was friendly but unbelievably slow.
Review Source:Red Lobster is one of my dirty little secrets...
I am a sucker for crab and my best friend loves their clam chowder. This is the place we don't tell our other friends we are going to, but always go together. It is like having a secret lover...
Service can be hit or miss here but the crab legs are consistent. It is pretty hard to screw up crab legs, and these are usually decent, but mostly delicious. I can't tell you much about there other menu items I only go for the crab!
