We attempted to eat at this Red Robin location on Friday. I was looking forward to watching the Cardinal game while enjoying a burger and bottomless fries with my family. However, after being seated and waiting for over 5 minutes (yes I even used the stopwatch app on my phone) we still hadn't seen a single server. It would be understandable (though not entirely excusable) if they had been busy, but we were one of maybe 4 or 5 tables in the entire dining area. At that point, we got up and went to the St Louis Bread Co next door (which was great btw).

Understanding that employees get breaks, it did not help to see a group of 5 employees hanging out on the patio as we left.

After placing our order at Bread Co, I walked back over to talk to the manager of RR (Jim) to tell him of the atrocious LACK of service, and that we would not be back for quite a while (if ever). It had been some time since we had tried Red Robin, due to receiving poor service in the past. This experience only went to reassert that RR should remain OFF THE LIST.

Wow, they wen't from being terrible to being amazing! The food was so much better on our last three visits so I had to come tell you all. The Spinach Artichoke appetizer is back-gotta get that. I inquired as to what happened because we were so turned off from the place that we haven't gone back until recent. I was greeted by the new manager. She has really turned that place around, as evident by a now busy parking lot. If you had really bad experiences there in the past, you might want to give them a second try (try the medium rare for hamburger, tastes yummier, I think).

Love the appetizers and burgers plus the bottomless fries. You can't beat that.

I have visited this location 3 times. The first two were good but my last visit was not. I ordered my burger medium and it was raw. I mean raw as in still cold in the middle. My other two guests ordered theirs well done and theirs weren't as raw as mine but still under cooked. The server never came back until she was ready to give us a bill. Unfortunately that was enough to turn me off of Red Robin for a while.

I've been on the quest for an awesome burger in St. Louis, and Red Robin is definitely not it.

Burgers are greasy and slimy and just totally fall apart when you try to eat them. The patty is super thin and they load up the sauce pretty thickly, which is probably why the burgers fall apart. The fries are your regular kind of fries, and the sweet potato fries are marginally better, but not the amazing ones that I have come to crave from other places in St. Louis. Personally, I think Five Guys burgers are more "gourmet" than Red Robin's...honestly, what has the world come to where you can throw different ingredients together that you usually wouldn't think of for a burger and call it gourmet?? I order something different every time, and I still have yet to find something on the menu that I like.

Our waitress was sort of absent-minded and ditzy, in a nice way. She had maybe four tables, including us. She forgot the utensils and napkins and asked us if she had brought the check to us already (she had). She didn't bother bussing the table either, and I think the manager or the assistant manager actually did that for her.

I'm definitely going to have to hit the Tums before bed.

This was my first Red Robin experience, and it was a good one.  While I'm not a fan of the staff singing silly birthday songs to every other table... which happened three times while we ate... our server was friendly and attentive.  It is important to understand that RR's "gourmet burgers" are not your standard fast food fare.  They are full meal entrees and priced accordingly.  My burger was particularly good, as was my bottomless root beer float.  RR serves Coke products, another plus to my personal preferences.  While not a daily, or even weekly, dining establishment, I will be returning to Red Robin in the near future.

Red Robin is our go to restaurant when the Mrs. and I cannot decide what we want for dinner.  Its not bad but nothing spectacular either.  The burgers are flavorful but the fries are better.  To top it off, the fries are bottomless which means they will keep bringin' as long as your eatin'.  A little advise though, if you order a burger make sure to order it "pink" as they typically overcook their burgers.

Good burgers, but "pink" is the rarest I can try to order, and I'm lucky if I get it. There's a gluten-free menu, but when you order from it, and the burger arrives with the bun "on the side" and ON TOP OF THE LETTUCE, you have to wonder about training and supervision. Bottomless fries are still very good.

I honestly have never had a fully great dining experience at Red Robin, the food (depending on what you order) is pretty good so we kept going back to try it but... it's so loud, every time we go there it's crawling (literally) with kids and every other table seemed to be having a birthday party.  Maybe if you have kids this is the place to go but if you are looking for a quiet meal with your family or going on a date I would not recommend this restaurant.  As for the food... the burgers, fries, and drinks are pretty great.  The chicken selections (chicken tenders and chicken fillet sandwich) are nothing special and cost $10 or more, very disappointing if you are a chicken lover like me. Overall, it's not worth the price, especially with 54th Street right around the corner! Eat there instead!

I'm not  a big burger eater...but when I want one - I want the best! This place does everything right. Service is outstanding. Burgers are the best I've ever tasted. Salads and chicken sandwiches are very good, as is their chili.
Some people complain about the price - about $10 just for the burger and fries. But - the burgers are incredible and they are big. Also, the fries come with unlimited refills so you will not leave hungry. If the price or size is daunting to you, consider splitting and order with a friend. They will gladly do this for you and still give your unlimited fries.
Lastly - if you are a vegetarian, their boca burger and garden burger are incredible.

Red Robin is easy.  I'm not a burger and fries kind of girl, but, it makes my kids happy and I can give them a handful of quarters to play with and grab myself a drink and maybe even a conversation.

Now, if I were a french fry girl, these would be tops on my list.  They are so salty and yummy.  But, I try not to partake in this fried finger food, as hard as that is to do.  I've heard great things about the burgers, although, I'm not sure why they can't offer anything less than "medium" (does that say something about the quality of their meat?)

Happily, they do have enough healthy options that I don't find it difficult to eat here.  The Chicken sandwich with pineapple is a great option.  I also enjoy the chicken and rice bowl and a few of the salads.

As far as the mega-American burger joints go, this is the best in the area.
