Just tried this place for the first time tonight, starting out at Happy Hour.  Nice drink selection, great ambiance, very nice service.  We moved into dinner and it was surprisingly good.

I had the Ahi Tuna, which was very good and my friend had a delicious Halibut.  (I kinda wished I'd had the halibut but they were both very good).

    I will be back!!!

Great place for happy hour, where else can you get a great glass of wine for 5 bucks and at any time on Sunday! Food is nicely presented and consistent I love the mussels and pork chop, but have yet to find a dish I didn't like... If you're not that hungry i suggest trying the cheese plate or dessert with a glass of wine, as a great way to finish off the night :) The service has been accommodating as well to special requests for changing a dish or even combining 2 into one, ahi carpaccio with an arugula salad on top, delicious! Will definitely be back for more!

    Come with friends!  ;)

Our wine group from Facebook Bitches & Wine met here last night there were about 12 of "US" in total rotation......  LOL    We tried several different wines, appetizers and dinner plates and I am proud to say that I do not recall any complaints on the food or beverages.

Our waitress, very helpful and sweet but, seemed overwhelmed.  We had to go to the hostess to search for her on several occasions. The service did seem to come a little slow from the kitchen as well.

Diego the owner, was very sweet to accommodate our vivacious group of ladies. "Thank you Diego"!...  We will be back to give you a hard time.  xoxo

Ooooooo.....   Ooooooo......  One more note:  Shari G. (below)  say's " all friends and staff write the great reviews about this place"!....  I am neither.  =)

YEAY another great addition to South Bay specifically Redondo Beach Riviera area....This was my first visit and I purchased a $30 for $40 Dollar from Yelp Deals and took advantage of the Happy Hours menu.

    Happy Hour time

    Mon - Fri: 4pm - 7pm  I  Saturdays: 11am - 6pm  I  Sundays: 11am - Close

With that said....I am even more excited that I can visit this spot on weekends and still be able to take advantage of Happy Hour prices.

As far as the location it is located block from the beach and great place to dine and relax. The staff were so nice and helpful and the food was fantastic.

The store manager (owner for that location maybe?) even came by and chatted with us a bit and he was actively helping his staff.

As far as the Wine selection goes ...Redondo wine Bistro has an amazing wine list with more than 200 wines from all over the world.

My boyfriend and I tried this new place on Friday. We started with a bottle of wine called Educated Guess, amazing wine!
We shared a shrimp salad and then got the stuffed chicken and halibut ravioli. Everything was delicious!!  We will definitely come back!

Yeah I had a similarly crappy experience here...menu seems good, but with a near empty restaurant food took 30 mins for food to come out. I was hoping it would be good. Manager bought a round of beers to make up for it, but for $25+ entrees and that long of a wait, skip it.

I love this place!  The wine list is fabulous, service fantastic and apps and meals are amazing!  The best thing about this place is how friendly the owner and the staff are...you would be comfortable going there alone if you're traveling for business or just single.  Diego is great...make sure you ask for him!

Just came here for a wine tasting event my husband read about online.  Got here early and ordered some wine and an octopus and gnocchi appetizer.  Food was amazing so we also tried the halibut ravioli.  We'll definitely be back for dinner.  During the wine tasting they brought out some other appetizers to try and the smoked salmon bruschetta was amazing!!!

Great wine list! One of the better ones in the entire Southbay and they have good wine glasses (one of my pet peeves).

Most of the reviews here must have been written by friends and family of the owners.  Waitress obviously was new to the restaurant profession; I placed my order - 'We're out of that.'  I made another selection - 'We're out of that too.'  So what AREN'T you out of and I'll order that?  This was at 6:00 p.m. and the restaurant was empty.  Food was so-so.  Menu was boring and overly heavy on seafood. That, combined with the unavailable menu items, made the pickings slim.

I frequent this establishment often, and never find myself disappointed. The first thing you notice as you walk in is the element of a sheek modern contemporary atmosphere combined with a rustic feel. Everything is recycled, and the use of wine bottles which they use to serve water out of, as well as the table candles, made from melted down wine bottles, is clever.

Contrary to one of the other reviewer's experience, I have never been told they ran out of something on the menu, and find the food to be excellent. I have tasted just about everything on the menu at this point, and really enjoy the freshness of the seafood. I particularly love the halibut ravioli, as well as the octopus served with homemade gnocchi. But the best part, not surprisingly, is the wine list; It is outstanding and has a plethora of grapes that are guaranteed to satisfy anyones palette. They, without a doubt, have the best wine selection in all of Redondo Beach.

Last, but not least, the service is always great--fast, friendly, and extremely polite. The new staff is very well versed in wine as well as their food knowledge, and the owner, Diego, is warm, welcoming, and does an amazing job of making you feel like you are at home.
    Don't pass this place up!

Wow! Great place! We hadn't been back since Grillish closed down and weren't sure what to expect but we were very pleasantly surprised. The service was excellent and the food was fantastic. I had the halibut ravioli, my wife had the shrimp pasta, and our friend had the crab crusted sea bass. I tried them all and they were all delicious. They also have an extensive wine list and we had a Malbec which was excellent.

Casual atmosphere without losing the sensibilities of a "white tablecloth"  fine dining experience. Really impressive ( and eclectic) wine selection. You are in good hands in the kitchen; the chef did a perfect job on our appetizers: steamers and charcuterie and our entrees, scallops and halibut, were some of the best we've ever tasted. Really.
Our compliments to the chef and the management of our new Riviera Village neighbor.
    We'll definitely be back soon.

I meet a couple friends for drinks at the Wine Bistro last night.  I am so glad we stumbled upon this place.  I love the wine list, they make it easy by dividing it up between old world and new world. We we arrived it was happy hour!  Wine for $4 and $5 a glass, I think we had bottle each by the time we finished trying something from each category. We only had appetizers which were delicious and a nice size portion. I can't wait to go back for dinning.
Oh and the service was very friendly.
Only complaint is they could use a little background  music.

Went to Redondo Wine Bistro on opening night really not expecting much.  I've been to several "first nights" that were a disaster.

I was pleasantly surprised! The wine list was not only extensive, but the wines were wonderful.  I had two different reds, one that really stood out was an excellent Carmenere called Axel.

For appetizers my table tried the Smoked Salmon Bruschetta, Sauteed octopus with gnocchi, clams in white wine and mussels in sauce.  They were all to die for.  I could have eaten the homemade gnocchi all night!

My dinner was Sea Bass over a bed of shrimp risotto and was cooked perfectly.  The risotto was Al dente, which was also perfect!

The restaurant was packed, but even so, our waiter was extremely attentive to our needs and the service was excellent.

I live in Redondo Beach and will ABSOLUTELY go back again and again!
